I am a 26 year old female who has lived in Abilene almost 20 years! I really enjoy children and am looking for a few babysitting jobs if anyone out there needs a sitter.
Please let me know the age(s) of your children and if there are any other responsibilities like laundry, dishes, transporting the children places, etc. I can usually sit late nights also.
Pay is negotiable you are welcome to name a rate that you are able to pay, hourly or for the entire time just let me know.

About Myself:
I transferred to Abilene with my husband about a year ago. I have been trained in CPR and First Aid. In the past I have been an assistant Pre-K teacher and a nursery teacher for my local church back home as well as having worked in the day care setting for many years. I am 27 years old with a clean driving record; you are welcome to check, and a reliable form of transportation. I have decided to start babysitting again to occupy my evenings and occasionally my weekends and to become more involved in our new community. If you would prefer to have a sit-down interview with me prior to any babysitting offer, I welcome that chance; this includes a ride-a-long if needed.

What to expect from me:
I believe that every child should have clear boundaries and a set schedule; however, I understand that every household is run differently and I will do my best adhere to the rules and schedules you have set for your home and your children. I am not a fan of rap music; I typically turn on K-Love, AirOne or County music while I am with the kids for a little background music. If your child/children need to be taken to or picked up from an event or want to do an activity outside of the home, I am able to do so with them. I try to have an activity planned or bring my goodie bag with me for crafts - I also feel there are time when good old fashion outdoor play is the best.
In addition; homework, diapers, teething, spit-up and dinner preparation do not scare me.

What I expect from the parent(s):
I expect my parents to be open and honest with me regarding their child(s) care. If there is anything you want me to add or change during my time with our children, please let me know. Also, if your child has an allergy or a special medical condition, please let me know. I do have a form you may fill out to let me know who to contact for an emergency, any allergies and your preferred medical care facility. This form also includes a space for you to let me know how you run your home and any specific do's and don'ts of the house.

Availability:
Monday - Friday 6pm to 10pm
Saturday and Sunday can be worked out.

Cost:
Payment is expected at the time I arrive unless otherwise discussed.
I will keep a maximum of 4 children under the age of 13
For 1 to 2 children the cost is $5.00 per hour
For 3 children the cost is $7.00 per hour
For 4 children the cost is $9.00 per hour

After getting several responses I feel I need to add a few things:
1) I am a young single mom trying to get myself through school. My rate will be mediocre at best. $75 a week is about the best I can do.
2) You/your home must be nonsmoking.
3) There will be some time off i.e.: 10 days during summer, spring break, Christmas break, etc.
4) Yes I want to meet you in person and see where my son will be staying before I make any decisions. I thought this would go without saying but apparently there are some loons that think I'm going to drop off my son with some random person I've never met :-)

Need babysitter with flexible hours (Abilene/Tuscola)

I'm going to be working as Doula (labor/birth assistant) and I need somebody that can watch my almost 7 month old daughter. She's been exclusively breastfed up till now, but has just started taking a bottle of expressed milk. I'm very picky about what she eats and how she's taken care of, but I will pay very well. Since labor can start at anytime of the day or night 2 weeks before of after the EDD, I'll be on-call during that time. I would like to set up one or more persons that could be available during the day and one or more persons available at night. References and interview required.

If you choose the overnight, we have a information card that needs to be filled out, we are asking for a $10.00 deposit (with receipt) that will hold your childs spot, you must supply a sleeping bag, or blankets, and whatever your child needs to go to sleep at night (blanket, doll etc)

This is not a daycare, just a time for your kids to have fun and get into the holiday spirit while you are busy !
