World best ever game, free, try it :)

Fallen Sword is a browser based MMORPG game that tries to emulate the experience of playing a detailed downloadable MMORPG, as the game has quick combat and a simple yet fun quest system. Game play is similar to that of Kingdom of Loathing as the game uses the same "daily turn system" where players have a certain number turns each day; moving one tile in the game's map will cost you a single turn while each round of combat will also cost you a single turn. The obvious drawback to this system is that those who started playing before you did will always be stronger than you are.

When you first make your account on Fallen Sword you'll start off with a stat point, so go ahead an allocate that. The five stats in Fallen Sword are Attack, Defense, Armor, Damage and HP. The defense and armor attributes are a bit confusing, and I'm not sure why the developers decided to use the name "defense" instead of "avoidability" or "agility" as all the defense stat does is increase your chance to avoid an attack. Upon using your starting attribute just head out into the map and start grinding away.

One unique aspect of Fallen Sword is the game's three skill trees. Players can customize there character by spreading out their skill points across the three trees. The skill tree works the same way talents work in World of Warcraft or skills in any other game. Playing FallenSword will make you feel like your playing an MMORPG that you've downloaded which is a unique experience for browser based games. The game's quest system is also interesting, as while grinding you'll likely bump into some quest zones which are marked by terrain that stands out on the grid map. The usual quests are "Go kill X monsters and come talk to me" but it's still impressive to see kill quests in a browser based game. Another interesting feature is the game's open PvP environment. Players can pretty much attack each other anywhere, and upon beating another player you gain PvP rank and some of the gold that player was carrying.

After dieing for the first time and losing a good deal of experience and money, I decided that I should try to see if the game lets me retreat from combat, and it does. If you hit the "Return to map" button while fighting you'll instantly run away from combat and fully restore your hit points. This feature alone takes away any risk of actually dieing while grinding which is a bit silly. Fallen Sword does have an incredible item system, as players can buy and sell items in the game's auction house, or even create their own using the crafting system. Items made through the crafting system will have random attributes, which is a great way to keep players constantly crafting to try and best possible item. If Fallen Sword wasn't browser based, I wouldn't be commending the features that the game has, but since the game is browser based it's definitely impressive and worth checking out if you'd like to get into a casual MMORPG.
