Freelance illustrator (Canton)

A leading innovation consultancy is looking for some help with an ideation workshop that we are leading in Canton, Ohio. The workshops are primarily focused on generating new business ideas for our client, a prominent hardware manufacturer.

We will run several brainstorm sessions (using things like sticky notes and flip charts), but to make the ideas come to life, we need an illustrator who can:
- Rapidly sketch out visuals of new business concepts, cartoon style, to help "tell the story" of what the new product or service would do
- Be a great listener and know how to translate somewhat loosely formed thoughts into a picture which captures the essence of the new idea without every detail having been thought through yet
- Interact in a professional manner and be presentable to senior corporate clients

We would be looking for 2-4 days of help, between December 8th and the 11th.

You should have experience working with CTP system, downloading art from the web, and processing orders for production. Person(s) applying for this position should be able to color separate artwork for plating purposes ie 1 and 2 color work. You will need to convert CMYK files to Spot for color separation and plating. Job Description: entry-level pre-production work for both screen print and digital press. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a deadline-oriented environment. This is not a "graphic design" job, but basic design skills are applied.

Requirements: Experience using Macintosh OS X, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Accuracy is crucial.

Full-time, permanent position, temp-to-hire. Must be able to work Mon-Fri 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Pre-employment drug screen, age: 18 and up
