2000 Blazer Fuel pump (North Hill)

The fuel pump on my 2000 Blazer has been diagnosed as being shot. Is there anyone out there that is interested in replacing it for me for less than an arm and a leg? Also, is it possible to put an electric fuel pump on the fuel lines OUTSIDE of the fuel tank? Can the entire tank be swapped for a junk one with a fuel pump from a junkyard?
