looking for indie MC to start project. Must be able to get together for "jam session" atleast once a week and be able play a show atleast every other week once we have some material. Altreich, a local metalcore band, is in need of a bassist and a screamer. Bassists would preferably have their own rig, but must be able to keep a beat, technical ability is not too big of a concern, but would be appreciated. Vocalist but be able to do screams like In Flames, Mudvayne, Atreyu, etc etc. Cleans are not a concern, but could come in handy, but not needed. We have a couple of albums written, and we need to finish this lineup so we can start playing out and work on recording an album.

I've been out of a band for a while, and am looking for a fresh musical start in a fresh city (moved here 3 months ago). I am a graduate student and work part-time for the university, but I am completely able to dedicate my free time to a band. I can also memorize keyboard parts (but don't really know what I am doing) and play a little guitar if the band is interested in shifting things around to stimulate song writing, etc.

I do not have a place to practice.

me and my buddy currently run wayne counties first and only 2 NOISECORE bands. we record and gig and stuff,which is nice and all. but i've always wanted to GRIND. i essentially want something in the vein of AGORAPHOBIC NOSEBLEED before they decided to get all mature,add 2 un-needed vocalists and make 4 minute songs. in the noise i dont really do lyrics i just scream and thrash about. but i want to start writing again and playing more shows. so heres whats up! bassist probably wont happen. if so ill go ahead and play but i think a 3 peice is all we really need. punk influence is obvious.

-must KNOW agoraphobic nosebleed or learn about them. Bestial Machinery will be all you really need.
-must LOVE nasum. undisputably the greatest grind band ever. no,it still not napalm death.
-must be able to come up with and remember riffs

The Musician's Open Jam Night Tonight at The Getaway Pub... And MORE! (The Rockin' Merriman Valley)

Wow, I don't think it can get better than this. We now have THREE open jams in the Merriman Valley on Wednesday night.

First, we have our Musician's Open Jam Night at The Getaway Pub. Amateur rock and roll at it's finest. Recently, Tasty Jones started an acoustic open mic night on Wednesday nights. And, now, our own Drummer Dan has gone to The Nutt House and started an open jam also.

Well, it doesn't get better than that. You certainly can't say that you have nothing to do on a Wednesday night.

I'm not sure what the other jams have planned but we have no bands scheduled for tonight so it's totally open jam for us.

Chef Tray always has delicious food cooking in the kitchen and, he is now the new host of a very special Sunday night Acoustic Open Mic at The Getaway Pub. Don't miss out on that when you're looking for a Sunday night jam.

Disenchanted Youth Orchestra.We are a small group of musicans that like to play regular instruments (guitar, bass, violin, keys) with lots of effects and different instruments like theramin and wamola and string bows and electric snorkel, tweaking effects and loops and just a little vocals over top of cool beats and take it on a roller coaster ride up and down an fast and slow and winding and heavy and soft and loud like a great twenty minute jam should be although this in not just jamming or making a bunch of loud noise. This is more like playing in a weird orchestrated drum circle of beautiful weid sounds in thoughtful rhythym. Looking to add all types of instruments including original ones to create bigger better sound. ALL MUSIC IS IMPROMPTU*(slightly directed), YOU MUST HAVE GREAT LISTENING SKILLS AND BE SUPPORTIVE TO YOUR FELLOW MUSICIANS AND HAVE SOME BALLS TO STEP OUT OF THE BOX. Would like to play SHOWS like the 1st Sunday every month and get a regular thing going on. Maybe even dress up in costume. I'm looking to play Hard Rock / Rock / Metal / Extreme Power Metal. I'm not into screamo or anythin of that sort. My main Influences are Motley Crue, Van Halen, Led Zep, U2, Rancid, Dragonforce, Metallica, Creed, Nirvana, Guns n Roses, Rush, Bob Marley, Ozzy, and much more...

I can play almost any style of drums, from blast beats to slow beats. I don't have a practice spot but i do have transportation and professional equipment.

Must be a quick study as the band is almost ready to start booking shows. I would prefer to be able to hear you play either online or MP3's, but you could send a CD if that's what you have. This is not your average 12 bar blues band so be ready for the punchier blues/rock material. All the material has good arrangements in place.
