Supervisor/Lead Case Manager - Older Youth Programs (Canton, Ohio)

Responsibilities:
• Oversees day-to-day program operations for older youth, including project reporting and administrative duties.
• Supervises local staff
• Effectively interviews youth participants to conduct intake and assess participant skills, needs, goals, interests, barriers, and available resources
• Effectively manages a caseload not to exceed 25-30 participants
• Provides intake, assessment, eligibility and intensive case management services
• Provides job readiness training and career exploration options
• Enrolls customers into occupational skills training
• Coordinates follow up services after the participant’s exit
• Provides job skills development counseling
• Documents attainment of competencies
• Assists with maintance of participant records
• Collaborates and coordinates services with partner agency representatives
• Assists with job search and job placement
• Assists in developing on-the-job training and/or work experience
• Maintains close contact with participants
• Provides post placement intervention as needed

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Social Work or Workforce Development and at least 3 years of experience working with disadvantaged youth. Previous supervisory experience and/or project management experience preferred.

Related Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Case management principles and techniques involving youth; motivation and coaching techniques; effective communication skills, including group dynamics, one-on-one interaction and negotiation; ability to communicate with other professionals regarding client activities; ability to monitor and track participant progress; strong management skills; knowledge of community resources, available programs, and employers; knowledge of special populations and their needs including characteristics and behavior which impact participant goals.

We are expanding our foster care program to provide Multidimensional Treatment Foster Care. This unique approach to foster care involves one foster home and one youth (primary ages of 12 to 18). By opening your home, you will provide youth with the supportive relationship they need to succeed!
