18' Y-Flyer sailboat (coxsackie) $900

The hull is in very good condition, it includes: trailer, complete set of sails in Excellent condition, newer style rotating mast, boom, all rigging, extra centerboard, rudder/tiller. The deck and sides need to be painted, the bottom has been painted (not with antifouling paint - a Y-Flyer doesn't use antifouling paint . On this type of boat, there IS NO MOTOR, it is designed not to have a motor. The boat presently is on the trailer in my garage. Finish schedule includes: Hull stripped down to bare wood, all surfaces, bathed in CPES (Smiths Penetrating Epoxy Sealer), all stringers filleted with High Density filler and West System Epoxy. Interior sealed with 4 coats of West System Epoxy as well, then primed with Interlux primer (2 coats) and finished in Grand Banks Beige (5 coats).

New transom of 1 ½ Mahogany marine ply, added motorwell, added additional deck beams and side deck supports. Old deck was plywood with white painted lines to emulate laid deck, this was removed and replaced with 4mm marine ply as a substrate and mahogany/ash laid decking. Exterior hull also has 5oz. fiberglass laid in West System epoxy for abrasion resistance – basically she is bulletproof and beautiful!

All exterior surfaces received 4 coats of West and 8 finish coats of Epifanes Varnish. Bottom is set for trailering, Interlux barrier coat (2 coats) and (2 primer), then 4 coats of Interlux Brighside Polyurethane.

Upholstery is new, as are cockpit soles. There is a battery box aft and new gas tank on utility shelf behind aft seat. Steering wheel is black walnut on bronze wheel, hand made (only one of its kind).

Boat is rated at 35 HP but at only 350 LBS, she would move smartly with a 20 or 25HP 2-stroke. She also has new 6 circuit Blue sea fuse panel behind dash, all hardware and running lights are original and were re-chromed. Boat comes complete with trailer.

20' Aluminum Fishing Machine FS/FT (Athens NY) $3500

Here is a great deal on my 20' fishing machine. I have had this for 5 years and have had a great time with it but it is time for a pontoon boat for the family. It is registered as a 20' 1985 Peterbourgh Aluminum boat. The trailer does have a registration for it. I believe the boat is older than a 1985 because of the thickness of the aluminum and the hull design and not having a hull rating for HP and Weight. It is longer than 20’ also. It literally drafts 3" of water unloaded and no more than 6" loaded. I have had 8 people in the boat no problem and seriously.... could not imagine what it would take to overload it. It has been in the Ocean 30mi offshore past Block Island Striper fishing, Lake Erie and Ontario Walleye and Salmon fishing. In the Niagara River and Into Canada several times Musky fishing and in The Hudson River so many times I can’t remember. You probably have seen me if you frequent the Hudson River during the Striper run in the Spring. This is a fishing machine. It has a 1996 Mercury 115hp oil injected 4 cylinder 2 stroke motor that has great compression of 150 in all cylinders and pumps water just fine. I did the impeller this summer so you should be able to get next year out of it before doing it again. I bought this at the Springfield MA sportsman’s show 2 yrs ago. It had 30 hrs on it and was there for sale used. I paid 3500.00 for the motor. I mounted it myself and even plated the transom for added strength. The transom is plenty strong for another motor if you could mount it there.

Come and look. I want it to go to a good home.

I have not fogged or winterized the motor yet so I can test run it for you.
It Gets on a plane very very fast and is an excellent rough and shallow water boat. A Very stable TANK as my buddies tell me

My price is fairly firm since I believe it is worth easily a grand more but would like it to go soon. It comes with the Cannon Downriggers which is easily 6 to 7 hundred bucks alone. They are 2 1/2 yrs old.

The box in the center house's a 50gal poly fuel cell and is removable if you wish . I still have the 23gal transom tank in perfect useable condition if you wish. I love the box to stand on while shooting carp and spot fishing in the shallows. It is made of P/T lumber and covered with outdoor carpet. Not pretty but definitely purpose built. The trailer is strong and I am fixing one of the auxillary non- main bunk since the stainless bolts came out of it trailering it home the other day.

No trades unless it is A 4x4 four wheeler, Utility snowmobile or similar. Looking for good ole cash to put down as deposit on a pontoon boat in the spring. I have posted a link to

Old Town Wooden Sailing Canoe (Fort Ann) $750

This is a 1932 Old Town sailing canoe. These were popular on Adirondack lakes such as Lake George in the early 1900's and were marketed as an all purpose recreational canoe. This specific canoe has lived its entire life on a local private lake with the same owner since it was purchased new. I have a copy of the original build order with the owners name from Old Town which was researched from its serial number.
The canoe is 18' in length with a 34.5" beam. The planking is listed as cedar. This is the C.S. grade as opposed to the A.A. grade. Same sturdy canoe, just the lesser of the trim packages available at the time.

What is unique about this canoe is that all the specific original sailing canoe parts are intact. As you can see in the photos there are several attachments to keep track of over the past 77 years. The only thing I can see missing are the 8 diamond shaped brass bolts that hold the seats in place. The seats were removed and re-caned many years ago and I'm sure they were set aside and misplaced. I have seen them available on e-bay for $15.00 recently. Obviously the canoe wants to be restored. The canvas was removed long ago. The rudder has a small crack that was repaired with screws and a bracket. The original sail, I'm sure, looks like swiss cheese if I was to unfurl it. There are 7 cracked ribs and a small hole repair the size of a softball. I can't find any dry rot. The canoe, overall, is in very good condition for its age. The pictures don't show it, but the open spruce gunwales show very little wear and the keel is sharp also. I have been told by an expert the canoe appears to be a very good candidate for restoration.
I tried to show all of the canoe's pluses and minuses in the camera shots. If you genuinely need a close up shot of something I can accommodate your request. This canoe should really be examined in person in order to appreciate its condition. The buyer is responsible for transportation. Shipping is not available.

1989 Sea Ray Bowrider & 100HP Merc O/B Damaged. Trlr Excellent (Rotterdam) $1350

I have a 1989 Sea Ray Bowrider which is 17 feet long. The boat was excellent and was alot of fun untill we found the submerged rock. Needless to say the rock won and the boat lost. The fiberglass hull of the boat never touched the rock and sustained no damage as the rock only hit the skeg on the motor. Incredibly the prop is also fine however the skeg is damaged, the exhaust and shaft housing on the lower half of the the motor has a crack and the transom of the boat cracked. Although repairable it is not something I can handle so the boat is up for sale as a winter project for someone.

Here are the details:

The Trailer is a 1989 EZ Loader trailer with rollers and it works fine. The tires were new in May 2009 and only have about 300 miles on them. At the same time I had the trailer rewired and new lights installed as the existing ones were not functioning well. The trailer has a current NY registration and is inspected and tows perfect.

The motor is a 1989 Mercury with Sea Ray labeling and runs perfect. It is a 100 horsepower 4 cylinder 2 stroke oil injected motor and the powerhead is perfect. Good compression in all cylinders. Power tilt and trim and the controls are in the boat and still all set up. The crack is in the cover which is below the powerhead and above the gear unit where the prop is. The other folks at the lake who know more about boats than I do referred to this as the exhaust shroud. I don't think J&B Weld would be sufficient but a shop may be able to weld the crack. A used shroud from a Sea Ray or Mercury motor would also work.

The boat is a 1989 Sea Ray Bowrider. The interior of the boat is in very good condiiton and the hull is in good shape. The transom cracked because the motor tried to flip up when it hit the rock. I have the title for the boat and the registration is current. The boat has a new battery and the bilge pump is set up to run from the switch on the dash as well as automatic if the float switch in the back of the boat turns it on. Power tilt and trim works and the boat has hydraulic steering. All the lights work and the horn also works. The cigarette lighter does not work.

The boat runs great, starts easily and still has about 15 gallons of gas in it. If you are looking for a winter project this could be it. Again, I have all the registrations and titles for the boat and trailer. The boat still runs fine, we drove it @ 4 mile back to the dock after we hit the rock and it ran normal. I have several more pictures so call me if you would like addtional information or more pictures or to see the boat. Delivery is available, the trailer is still registered and ready to go.

Have only had opportunity to try motor out briefly, but it started easily (after several years' storage) and runs well, pumps water fine, shifts well.
Will hang motor on back of boat, you will need to mount the controls (very straightforward task). Low selling price due to minor work needed (once motor connected to steering and controls, it can be put in water and used as is: paint and bench repair can readily be postponed. Price also due to fact I am too busy to get to it and coming storage season approaching. If I cover & store it will ask more.
