I am looking to lose over one hundred pounds and I am serious about it. I have done it before, but have slowly gained a lot of the weight back. At the time of my weight loss I was a smoker. I am now a non-smoker and want to get to a healthy weight and stay there. I need my butt kicked. I know how to work out and how to eat right. But I have not worked out fiercely in a gym for over a year and need someone to help me get started and keep it going. I was training for a 10k this fall, but the weight is affecting my knees so I want to dedicate the next 3 months to losing weight so I can begin my training runs again.

Here is some info about me and what I am looking for:

• I am a member at Golds Gym* No home visits please, but your gym is fine too.

The first month I would like at least 2 half hour sessions or 1 60 minute session each week depending on fees.
Then for months 2-3 would like to change to 4 half hour sessions a month or 2 60minute sessions.
From there I would like to average 1 hour long session every six weeks or so to stay on track. The holiday season is tough so committing to more right now seems daunting, but I may change my mind come January.

I would like to work with medicine balls, kettle bells, you name it. I am a licensed massage therapist and I know anatomy and physiology well. That said, I prefer challenging cardio, free weights, calisthenics, pilates, and yoga. I will not do sit-ups or time wasting crunches. I need a trainer who knows the human body well. I practice yoga on my own and walk my dog 2-3 miles daily. I am not a couch potato.

I have made some recent dietary changes to see if that helps, but I know what I really need are regular challenging workouts. I can commit to working out 6-7 days a week. I prefer active rest days. I easily get off track when there is a schedule change or something that prevents me from working out more than 2 days in a row. I like to create my own nutrition plan, so although I will accept ideas and feedback I am looking for someone to kick my ass in the gym not design a meal plan.

Make me work hard and help me achieve my goals and you will have a client for life, and plenty of referrals. As a business owner I understand the importance of referrals to grow and strengthen a business-I would consider bartering as well.-Massage gift certificates make great presents.

I am looking for creative people to join me on a half-baked venture/idea that, with your help, will hopefully become fully baked and ready to eat (metaphorically).

I'm looking to start a sort of underground zine channeling a particular type of energy. I would like to preface this by relating a well-known story in the history of literature...

In the 1940's, the writer Anais Nin was living in New York, recently transplanted from Paris and living the starving artist lifestyle before it was synonymous with familial safety nets and expensive clothes. In order to make ends meet, not just for herself but for the litany of writers, poets and artists that she took under her wing, she wrote sexually charged stories for an anonymous buyer that paid a dollar for every page of “smut” she produced. To make more money, she soon enlisted the help of her friends and they all sat around, sharing the stories of their sexual exploits and putting them to paper.

I think the communal aspect of sharing sexuality is a very interesting, provocative, and YES, stimulating (!) concept. There isn't much around these parts in the way of the situation I described above, and it seems like an insanely awesome way for a group of people to butt heads, minds and hands towards a common creative goal. A fun one. One that will get tongues wagging.

In the beginning, it will probably only be a photocopied, stapled black-and-white sheaf of papers that people will hopefully pass around, hand to hand. A rather low-budget production inspired by the beginnings of sexually liberated bohemia, yeah, but also by the pre-digital era where people distributed their stuff by hand and read things that weren't on a computer screen. I don't want to make any money, or begin an intensive, laborious project that will consume all of my time and yours...what I envision happening is a few creative people gathering around a table and talking about how to describe sex. Which images turn them on. The combination of words that somehow depict an out of bounds erotic experience.

What I don't want to start is a Penthouse Letters for the Capital Region. I think there are a bunch of you out there that would be interested in doing this, possibly with stories and pictures ready to show me. Let's meet up and talk about how much fun this could be.

I would like writers and artists first. What I mean by this: I won't sacrifice quality of content just because this will be sexual in nature. If you are a writer (and this means if you WRITE, and write well. I don't care if you have never sold/shown your work. This applies to all mediums), then by all means, contact me. It would help greatly if you attach an example of your work when you do so, and I will reciprocate in kind (so you know what you're getting yourself into).

Photo shoots, writing/brainstorming sessions, afternoons of communal painting, food, drinks, talking, photocopying sessions- this is what I'm advertising.

Keyboard player (Capital District)

We have a highly successful and professional concert band that plays only high-end venues. The material is pop and R&B from many different decades and also includes original material from our latest CD. The concerts are approximately half original material and half original arrangements of well know covers. To be a "good fit" you should also have a liking for commercial jazz. The concert is centered around a female vocalist that is currently receiving rave reviews both locally and nationally. She is a very gifted singer/songwriter that writes the majority of her original material. You will be working with some of the very finest musicians that have ever come out of the upstate area.
The full band (which is 8 piece, including 2 background vocalists) rehearses one a week as a full unit. Keyboardist may also be required to attend vocal rehearsals (functioning as a rehearsal pianist) that also occur once a week as well. I have been fortunate enough to have had my music played and featured in podcasts internationally, have placed as a finalist in an international songwriting competition and have had placements in certain online magazines.
