Faux Finishing, Children's Murals (Albany County & Beyond)
I am a faux finisher and muralist and am currently painting murals at my home that can be installed easily on your smooth walls.
My current project is an approximately 6'x6' mural that features a unicorn that any fantasy or horse lover would enjoy. Please take a peek at this work in progress on my blog site. Recently, I fleshed him out a bit more and added mane, tail and feathered legs http://finefaux.blogspot.com/ and I've included good detailed photos.
Nearly complete, this unicorn mural is priced at $200--quite a bit less than if I had painted this fine creature on site at your home over a series of days. (On site, I charge $200/per day plus materials--still very reasonable--for faux finishing and murals.)
A removable mural has its advantages. Renters can now enjoy hand painted art on their walls and take it with them when they leave without damaging the property. Homeowners can treat themselves and their children to unique art and rather than paint over it years later, they remove it without damaging the walls and pass it on for another to enjoy. College students can personalize dorm rooms without damaging school property.
