Evelyne Boren original watercolor $2350

22" x 30" watercolor titled: Backstreet, Mismaloya, Mexico. Depicts a lady hanging out laundry. Really nice early painting by Boren.

Evelyne Boren (a native of Munich, Germany) enjoys worldwide recognition for her impressionistic art interpretations of life, people and scenes of the Southwest, Mexico and Europe in watercolor and oil paintings. Evelyne's life reads like an adventure story—from the time she attended school in Switzerland and England, to her move to the United States in 1958 and her stunt work in movies.


Before beginning her full-time professional career as an artist, Evelyne had an aquatic career that included underwater stunt doubling in the James Bond films “Thunderball” and “You Only Live Twice”.
She was the first woman in the world to swim with a killer whale in the movie “Namu the Killer Whale”. She appeared on the television programs “What’s My Line” and “To Tell The Truth”, where no one guessed her profession. She also appeared frequently in the television series “Sea Hunt”, “Aquanauts” and “Flipper” where she helped train the star dolphin.

From these adventures she turned to painting in 1962, while on location filming in the Bahamas. The breathtaking color and beauty of the islands stirred a deep desire within Evelyne to express her feelings on canvas, so she began to paint. Her enthu-siasm, drive and discipline have resulted in a very successful art career. Evelyne has studied with several important artists, but has developed a style that is strictly her own.


In 1990, in Roussillon, France she entered a competition for paintings that used only burnt sienna, raw sienna and yellow ocher pigments that are mined locally. The only foreigner, she won first prize over forty other French artists. In 1997, Evelyne had the honor of having one of her paintings selected for the official Santa Fe Opera Poster. She has more then 4,000 original paintings in private and corporate collections around the world.


Evelyne maintains a permanent studio in Santa Fe, New México and in Sayulita, México.

About this model.

The Bernina model 930 has been described as a work horse, for the simple reason that it can basically help you create anything in a short amount of time. It possesses a lot of beautiful stitches, which then allows you to come up with attractive patterns for your embroidery, quilting, or basic sewing projects.

There are 14 utility or basic stitches and 12 fancy stitches that are embedded into the sewing machine. This makes it a lot easier for you to produce the necessary or wanted stitch for your current sewing task. You simply have to identify the proper settings, and the sewing machine will help you out.

The thread cutter in the 930 model helps you create a much cleaner finish for your fabrics and of course takes care of the unused threads which could cause potential problems along the way.

Christmas pine cone wreath (Bosque Farms) $30

My children decided to try to raise some money for Christmas this year. They made these awesome wreaths.

These are pinecone wreaths on a hay wreath base. They are very heavy with lots of pinecones used. There are 8 we are selling total. They are each different. Some have red or white berries used and some have just pine cones alone. We have pictured these without any bows but we have bows that you can pick and we'll put the bow on for you. This is included in the price.

We researched the price of these online and found some that are not near as pretty and full of pinecones for $50 plus. We found others similar to ours that were running at about $80 a wreath. We are asking $30 each.

We live in Bosque Farms but we often go to Albuquerque and I am happy to meet you there so you can look at these wreaths. These pictures do not do them justice. Please call me at 869 8525.

Large amount of red satin(?) fabric left over from a project. I don't know how much there is, but it is two very large pieces (each larger than a dining room table) and some additional pieces. Finished edges. Would easily make a Christmas/Holiday dress or tablecloth and tree skirt and much more. I have no way of giving measurements, but this is a bargain! African (Bobo) Mask (Lomas & Eubank) $175

This is a real, genuine ceremonial mask from Africa, not the cheap things they sell tourists in the Nirobi airport and certainly not the ones you get at World Market. A friend of mine, who has an extensive collection assures me, this the real deal. It even shows signs of wear (also abuse...but that's the way I got it). My friend also said it's old, not centuries, but certainly decades. These things sell for hundreds of dollars on eBay. I'll be honest, I didn't pay hundreds. A few years ago, I paid about what I'm asking now at a garage sale. But go to eBay and search on "Bobo mask" and prepare to be amazed at what a deal you're getting! You can see similarities in this mask in this one, note the square cut eyes and use of geometric patterns, this one, not the similarity in dyes, and this one. Note when searching, most of the Bobo masks also have an antler motif.

It's certainly unique, that's what attracted me to, but right now I can use the cash (not to mention it creeps my girlfriend out). It measures about 25" tall, by 8" wide. Hurry, at this price, I won't have it long! I'm open to reasonable offers.

Huge New Train Print (Bernalillo.) $25

For sale is this amazing print of a picture taken in the early 1900s. It is the arrival of the railroad in Cloudcroft NM. It is printed on a rigid 1/8” PVC and is in two sections. It was printed for a museum exhibit but was made the wrong size. Your gain. When together it measures about 74” wide and 86” tall. Perfect for the train collector or enthusiast. Artwork–Acrylic–"Mass. Thicket, Early Snow Dusting"–Carolyn L. Kiefer (Rio Rancho) $85

This 2006 acrylic on canvas board (10" tall by 8" wide; approx. 10-3/4" by 8-2/4" with black wood frame) was inspired by a grove of trees on the campus of Tufts University in Westborough, Massachusetts. The beautiful colors of the trees in mid-autumn are highlighted by the early light snow that fell the evening before this was captured. The intensive colors, characteristic of many of this painter's acrylic works, are present as is the emphasis of contrasting dark areas to set those colors off. If you purchase this work, you will be the first owner, other than the artist.

Ms. Kiefer is a local regional artist who graduated from UNM. She moved to Massachusetts in 2001 and returned to Albuquerque in 2005. Like a number of artists raised in the 1950’s and ‘60’s, her graphic designs are influenced by the elements of the one true original American graphic art form -- the cartoon. The large flat intensive color areas of cartoons are evident in the rich colors which her acrylics exhibit and the black outlines of the cartoon world are reflected in her use of black frames for her vibrant acrylic paintings. She has a deep concern for the environment, and the rich hues and details of the nature and cultures in the areas she inhabits inspire the direction of her choices of subject. Artwork--Ceramic Graphic-Roadrunner Dish-Carolyn L. Kiefer (Rio Rancho) $35

This 2006 kiln-fired ceramic piece is square with the corners curved up (approx. 6-3/4" x 6-3/4"). It can be used as a set-around decorative piece, a serving dish for jellies, sushi, candies or nuts, a business card holder or gatherer, or an ashtray. To be clear, the ceramic form was purchased pre-molded. It is the graphic design glazed by Ms. Kiefer that was inspired by the Roadrunner, the state bird of New Mexico. Being that New Mexico is a ranching state, the Roadrunner is one of the ranchers' best friends as s/he eats rattlesnakes which protects the livestock. The design is off-white with black line design. If you purchase this work, you will be the first owner, other than the artist.
