Full Time - $135 a week (0-1), $110 a week (2-5), $75 a week (6 & up)

Due to the limited spaces available, weekly payments are based on using or holding your slot, not on the child's attendance. Overtime Fees, for any time that is not prearranged, will be $5.00 per 15-minute increment.

Late Payment Fee: $5.00 per day that payment is not received. If fee isn't paid by Monday morning of the next week, your child will not be cared for until the outstanding balance is paid. Continued late payments will result in termination of our contract.

I'm looking to provide evening child care. I have a lot of experience, as I used to be a pre-school teacher at KinderCare, La Petite, and a before and after school director at the YMCA. Now I am just looking for some part-time work. I have worked with and do well with children of all ages. Do you need an experienced nanny? (NE Heights, Nob Hill)

I posted a month or so ago and due to spam, my inbox crashed (I didn't know it could do that!) and I apologize to anyone who contacted me that I didn't contact back.

About me: I'm a 24 year old female, married, no children, and new to Albuquerque. I currently work as a nanny in the Nob Hill area on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30am to 1:30pm, so I have a lot of extra time to fill in! I do not smoke, drink, or do drugs. I will submit to a background check and drug test if you want as I have nothing to hide. I'm looking for a live out nanny position. I have experience with children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. I have been babysitting since I was 11 (I have a reference from then if you want it as well) and working as a nanny since I was 18 years old. I honestly want to continue to be a nanny for as long as I can. Next year I plan on returning to school to finish a degree in Elementary Education. I would love to own my own preschool in the future or my own nanny agency. I also want to start teaching babysitting and nanny classes once I get my curriculum set up. I am also going through the process of becoming a Big Sister with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. My CPR/First Aide came due this month, but it will be renewed as soon as possible. I am rarely late and rarely take time off. I always call as soon as I know I may not be able to come or if I'm running late.

About me as a nanny: I hate having the tv on when watching kids. It's boring for me (I secretly hate cartoons, but don't tell the kids!). I prefer to take the kids to the park or walk around the neighborhood, play outside or play inside. We'll build forts, do arts and crafts (can bring them with as I am a major crafter), and play games. I love to read to the children, play board games or interactive games like Hullabaloo, which is my absolute favorite child game ever! In the past few years, I have mostly watched infants and toddlers, but have experience with school age kids.When it comes to discipline, I like to keep everything in control. I don't tolerate bad attitudes or getting physical with me or with any other children. I put kids in time out. If they do not comply, I often remove them from an activity. After their punishment, I like to talk to them about why they went into timeout and resolve the issue. This has worked well for me. I will not spank or hit a child, withhold food or send them to their room all night. If you want me to do these types of things, then I'm not the nanny for you.
On top of taking care of the kids, I love tidying the house. There's always some downtime which I encourage independent play or the kids take their naps, and I start to clean. I have no problems cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, and whatever you need done. I will also do laundry as long as it's all ready separated and that you explain what shouldn't go in the dryer. Better safe than sorry! I have no problem preparing dinner for the family. I'm a pretty good cook as long as there's food in the fridge. It's also so much fun to include the kids in the cooking.

I don't want to leave the family I work for right now, so my schedule is a bit crazy. They live in the Nob Hill area, and I live in the NE Heights area. I would prefer to work in these areas. I didn't realize how far Rio Rancho was from me and I don't think it's feasible for me to drive that unless I'm paid extra for gas. Now, let me talk to you about the interview. I will provide my references at the interview and you can ask me as many questions as you want. I often ask questions as well to see if we are compatible. It wouldn't be fair to the kids if the parents and I don't get along. Also, I need to make sure we agree on what you want me to do. I always tell the parents, "YOU are the parent; you lead and I'll follow". I don't like to undermine the parents' authority. As for my rates, it will depend on how close you are to me, how often you want me to work and what you can afford. I would prefer anything between 6 to 10 dollars an hour.
