Mink Wrap (Sandia Heights) $75

This wrap is gorgeous, made of the softest mink, and is in mint condition. It is from the 50's and the style includes a place for hand warming. The lining has small guitars and the initials appear to be" DLS". History is unknown. This wrap looks great with a little black dress or with blue jeans. It would fit a size 4-10.

Day of Dead ART PIECE (Sandia Heights) $40

This ceramic plaque was hand made and painted in the small village of Santa Rosa, in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico (home of the world famous Mummy Museum). This particular artist "Dylan" has work on display at the International Folk Art Museum in Santa Fe. This plaque was made for me by mistake (I have a huge platter with this same dancing lady) so I am selling it for exactly what it cost. It measures 9" x 14" and comes with the mounting bracket pictured for hanging, but the bracket is easily removable to display flat on a table or to put in a plate stand, etc.

Handmade rocking airplane (NE Heights) $75

I made this solid wood airplane for our son about 25 years ago. Its great for imaginary play because it is ridden like a rocking horse. It is painted with non-toxic paints. Our son played with it until he was about 4 years old. It weighs approximately 20 lbs and will not tip over. Dimensions are: 31.5 " length, 10.5" width of base, 18" width of wings and 16" height at wings.

I had many more that I've been selling on Ebay in small groups with great success. I'm tired of separating and cataloging them for sale, however. Military Web Belt (Tramway/Montgomery) $20

Heavy khaki webbing, 1 1/2" wide, silver-tone metal roller buckle with a design of armor, crossed spears, cannons and flags, probably an artillery crest. Fits a small (30-32") waist. Used, but in excellent condition. When I acquired it I was told it was Spanish, but later told it was Italian. A Craigslist user told me it is Cuban, Grenada-vintage. Honestly, I have no idea myself about its provenance; it is not from my area of interest in collecting and I have been unable to confirm what I have been told. Lilliput Lane Deer Park Hall (Paradise Hills) $75

Lilliput Lane Deer Park Hall. It has no chips, cracks, repairs or other blemishes and is as if new. The piece is 5.125 ins tall.



Deer Park Hall was the first Lilliput lane model with a snow effect, and so it’s slightly clumpy appearance can be excused. It’s rarity and desirability to collectors is partly because of it being the first in a series of four Christmas specials and partly because it was retired after six months instead of the planned twelve months.



Deer Park Hall is located on top of a range of hills called The Downs in Sussex, England, and the house is constructed of sturdy oak beams and brick. The number of chimneys indicate that it’s exposed location on top of a range of hills meant it was subject to the cold of winter and fireplaces were plentiful.

Amar'e Stoudemire signed / autographed basketball (Albuquerque) $110

I am selling an autographed Amar'e Stoudemire basketball. Amar'e is one of the best big men in the NBA and was also the NBA Rookie of the Year in 2003, he has made four appearances in the NBA All-Star Game, made the first-team All-NBA Team in 2007, and he won a Bronze Medal with the United States Men's National Basketball Team at the 2004 Olympic Games.

Stoudemire's first name had previously been listed in the Phoenix Suns media guide as "Amaré" or "Amare", but it was changed to "Amar'e" in October 2008.Stoudemire told NBA.com that his name had always been spelled "Amar'e", but the media had been spelling it incorrectly since he joined the NBA.

This basketball has been kept in a glass case and comes with a COA and matching tamper-proof hologram. This is from my own personal collection and I am selling it because I have his autograph on a different basketball.

Comic Book and Toy convention (112 Morningside ST. NE)

Black Market Studios is holding its annual charity holiday fundraisers. This year a Comic and toy show has been added as an event. Friday night December the 4th at Black Market Studios there will be a video game and comic book character themed tribute Art Show highlighting the works of 10 local artists. It all begins with a reception at 7:00, followed at 8:30 with four local bands which will be playing themes from cartoon shows! There will be a $3.00 cover charge or a caned food, toy or clothing donation. Then on Saturday, December 5th there will be a comic book, toy and collectibles convention. For sale will be silver age comics, Halo, Sports figures, aliens, Mcfarlane and many other toys. Dealers will be set up just like any other convention selling collectibles and all money made from the sale of tables will be donated to charity. Tables are now on sale and can be paid for at the Lobo Anime & Comics. Admission for the public will be one nonperishable caned food item per person. All proceeds will benefit Toys for Tots and The Roadrunner Food Bank. The show will be from 11:00 to 3:00 with a no minimum bid auction at 12:00. 1970 SSP Drag Race Set Unlimited (Albuquerque) $85

This is a rare 1970 race track. With the original Kenner's logo on the box. The set is not complete but it has two cars. The first car is a TEE-RIFFIC Model 8957. It's wheel is broken but the wheel is in the box. The second car is a SIDEWINDER Model 8952. It's missing the helmet. The track has both ramps but is missing some pieces. This track is very rare.

Chieu Hoi Bag (Tramway/Montgomery) $10

Original Vietnam era surplus, used. The actual item for sale is not as clear&clean as the unused one in the image.
The EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) copolymer bag was designed to keep an individual M16 20rd Magazine clean and dry. In addition to the standard plain bag, the Chieu Hoi version was also produced with a "psyops" message designed to induce NVA and Viet Cong troops to defect.
The Chieu Hoi Program (pronounced "Choo Hoy", literally translated as "Open Arms") was an initiative by the South Vietnamese to encourage defection by the Viet Cong and their supporters to the side of the Government during the Vietnam War. Defection was urged by means of a propaganda campaign, usually leaflets delivered by artillery shell or dropped over enemy-controlled areas by aircraft, or messages broadcast over areas of South Vietnam, and a number of incentives were offered to those who chose to cooperate, along with psychological warfare to break enemy morale.
To further this aim, invitations to defect (which also acted as safe-conduct passes) were printed on clear plastic waterproof bags used to carry ammunition for the US soldier's M16 assault rifle. Each bag held one magazine, and was sealed up to prevent moisture from the jungle's humid climate from damaging the contents. When the magazine was needed during a firefight with the enemy, the bag would be torn open and discarded, in the hope that it would be discovered by enemy troops who would read the text and consider defection. <br In practice, however, this method was of little value as littering the jungle with these bags would signpost the movement of US troops to the enemy, Viet Cong would not be keen to retain them as it would indicate their intentions and indict them as traitors, and the passes were sometimes rejected anyway, and their holders shot.
Overall, the Chieu Hoi program was considered to be marginally successful. Those who surrendered were known as "Hoi Chanh", and were often integrated into allied units operating in the same area where they had been captured. Many made great contributions to the effectiveness of U.S. units, and often distinguished themselves, earning decorations as high as the Silver Star.
