Primary Purpose:
Facilities assistant will provide support to the Facilities Manager in all aspects of facilities maintenance. Performs manual labor and semi-skilled work in the maintenance of Credit Union buildings facilities and grounds which include but are not limited to construction and repair of electrical, mechanical, masonry, carpentry; the coordination of preventive maintenance and record keeping of transactions. Responsibilities:
1.Facilities maintenance: handle and/or assist with minor repairs and/or issues as they arise, keep vendor contact information and contract list up-to-date; ready offices/desks for new hires and/or departments.
2.Work with vending machine vendors as issues or problems arise; administer vendor supplier online ordering (i.e., passwords, adds/deletes, problem solving, etc.); enter and track for reporting purposes purchasing information, equipment maintenance, vendor contact lists and contract lists, etc.
3.Operate hand and power tools, vehicles and equipment; perform heavy, manual labor, able to lift equipment as necessary.
4.Perform routine equipment and form ordering, and delivering of such to internal members and branches.
5.Mail:Responsible for main office mail function by picking up from the post office, sorting and distributing postal mail, run end of day mail through the postage machine and delivering mail to the post office.
6.Storage and warehouse function to include routine monthly records destruction function as well as annual destruction of records.Retrieve and file records by request from internal members.
7.Miscellaneous: Match incoming invoices and work orders or packing slips in preparation for Facilities Manager Review; maintain company auto and run errands as needed and monitor main office member parking lot.
8.Assist Facilities Manager with special projects as needed or required, involving a variety of projects in all areas of the credit union.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of the standard principles, methods, practices, techniques, tools, and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of building structures, machinery, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment fixtures. Background in dry wall and painting a plus.
Demonstrated personal computer knowledge and skill; intermediate working knowledge of Windows, including file management and organization, and familiarity with the internet.

Physical Requiremnets:
This position will require a great deal of ongoing physical activity which may include constant standing, bending, stooping, lifting, climbing, up/down activity, operate hand and power tools, vehicles and equipment; perform heavy, manual labor for extended periods, able to tolerate extreme fluctuations in temperature while performing essential functions and be able to lift equipment as necessary.
