Music Mix Group Seeks New Members

Do you like surfing Web radio stations for the next artist to love? Do you commonly make CD, podcast, or blog compilations for your friends? Are you on the hunt for great new music on a near daily basis? Do you enjoy music of the independent rock & pop persuasion?

If the answer to all or most of these questions is yes, please read on if you're interested in joining a club dedicated to music sharing and appreciation.

The format of the club is as follows:
- All virtual (group email) and snail mail (to distribute your mixes via CD)
- Each member is a designated a rotating week approximately every 8 weeks (e.g. 2nd week of every other month) to create a stereo-playable audio CD mix and snail-mail a copy of the mix to all other members.
- Every week has a different member assigned so the rest of the club gets something new each week.
- Each mix/CD/compilation can involve a theme of the creator's choosing (or no theme at all)

Requirements for all members:
- A PC or Mac capable, blank CD-R discs, and a program for burning CD mixes
- Reliable, timely production and mailing of mix on turn (each member is allowed one "mulligan" for holidays & emergencies)
- At least one communication to the group when mixes are mailed, and responsive to club emails requesting feedback
- Creation of audio format CDs playable in any stereo (not MP3 or data CDs requiring a computer to hear)
- Inclusion of at least a numbered artist & track listing, and a plastic case or paper CD sleeve

Nice-to-haves:
- An enjoyment of music writing (some past members have include musical essays/ramblings and/or track-by-track comments with their mixes)
- An enjoyment of CD design (faces, covers, liner notes)
- A penchant for music technology/toys
- An enjoyment of music exploration/challenges

Okay, so I'm having a Lost marathon right now and rewatching the first five seasons before the new season starts in January... The first ep of season 6 is entitled "LAX" and this got me thinking, why is everyone on the plane? Since the experiment worked and the incident was avoided, wouldn't this mean that Jacob couldn't influence their lives to have them fly over since the hatch wasn't created? The only reason Claire was on the plane was because the psychic knew it would crash... I'm really excited to see how this all plays out.

Also, I just moved to ABQ from Orlando and back there we had a coffeehouse that showed Lost every week... are there any places here where strangers can get together once a week and hang out during the show?

Any info would be fantastic, as it would save me on airfare(I'm seeing the finale with a huge group of people regardless of where I am).

Medical Advice on the Ganj (The Land of Magical Fairy Tales)

Yo what's up. You shouldn't have to be in the situation you are right now especially for your service to your country. Today is a day of honor and respect. Although, I oppose the occupation of US in other countries, I do not oppose harm reduction and alternative medicine for governement personell both retired and in active duty. It is sad, that doctors are at their wits ends in understanding the medical ganja because the science is behind them, but there are those willing to take away their licenses. They shouldn't be afraid. Stand up for what you believe in and start disussing the issues for what they are.

For people who say oh you just want this to smoke pot all day. Well what if it's the only way soldiers can sleep? Were you on the frontlines? How sure are you that it can't help someone?
As your personal virtual phsyician, I advise you to find a psychiatrist that has consulted many patients with PTSD and speak from your heart and mind if this is truly the case. Eventually you will find the right one. I don't understand why the DEA is so adamant towards rescheduling a plant!? Do the right thing DEA. Please. If you really need help and have exhausted all the resources in the public sector and private, contact the MultiDisciplinary Association of Psychedelic research as they have just started working with the government with MDMA trials on humans experiencing PTSD. If all else fails, grow your own or move to state with more reasonable cannabis laws. Just make sure to hide the smell and watch out for flying airicraft which is equipped with FLIR as we still have an eradication removal program in NM that is probably costing the state more and more cash each year it operates.
