Duties/Responsibilities: Working closely with the area leads, supervisors and the department manager, the night shipper coordinates all daily shipments to ensure things are complete and loaded. Night shipper position assists efforts within and among various work areas of the shop in ensuring Quality, Cost, and Delivery of Unirac products. The night shipper is an expert in the loading of Unirac materials onto the various types of trucks used (LTL, Van, Flatbed). The night shipper must also be an expert in related UFP’s.

Description Our client is seeking a Metrology Technician for their Maintenance Department (Non Entry-Level)

I. Department Overview
Ensure production and utility systems are in peak operating condition for efficient, timely, and safe manufacturing. Perform preventive maintenance, calibration procedures, lyophilization processes, as well as repair and maintenance activities during shutdowns.

II. Position Overview:
With minimal supervision, schedule and perform instrumentation calibration and repairs. Update Calibration Manager and maintain calibration files. Assist with Validations Department projects.

III. Essential Duties:
1. Calibrate analog and digital Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) such as temperature and humidity sensors, gauges/transducers, tachometers, calipers, micrometers, top loading balances, and floor scales. (40%)
2. Review calibration data and complete calibration certificates ensuring accuracy of calibration, dates, and completeness. (20%)
3. Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs of instrumentation. (15%)
4. Provide technical expertise to other technicians and production personnel in proper techniques for accurate and current acceptable M&TE calibrations. (10%)
5. Communicate instrumentation problems and coordinate calibration activities with user/management. (5%)
6. Maintain accurate, current M&TE procedures and documentation and enter calibration data. (5%)
7. Design and/or develop enhancements to existing M&TE calibration methods. (5%)

Requirements
Education:
Associate’s Degree with 2 years experience in calibration

Experience or Equivalent:
4-8 years experience in calibration, instrumentation, or electronic troubleshooting

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Display basic to intermediate skills in Word, Excel, and calibration software such as Calibration Manager
• Comprehend and apply principles of physics and algebra
• Read, analyze, and interpret SOPs, technical procedures, and government regulations

Experience with programming and analysis of CMM machines and Vision Measuring System. Experience working with machinist, calipers, micrometers, and fabrication. Certified Metrologist desirable.
