The project supports the work of Elev8 New Mexico, which functions as a full-service community school and is part of a national initiative that serves middle school youth and their families, providing them with a powerful combination of integrated services and supports on school campuses that leads to their success in school and in life. These services consist of Extended Learning, Family Supports, Family Resource Centers and School-Based Health Centers. Building on the capacities of local and national partner agencies, Elev8 New Mexico’s evidence-based approach assures high-quality health, learning, and family supports before and after school, on weekends, and during the summer. The ultimate benefit of an integrated approach that includes academic supports, social services, family supports, parent organizing, mentoring, quality out-of-school time opportunities, and comprehensive school-based health leads to improved student learning, stronger families, and healthier communities. The project empowers families to advocate for sustaining programs that help guide their children in facing the complex challenge of transitioning from childhood to adulthood. The project also empowers families to collaborate with other community groups in advocating for these programs as well as advocating for other issues of concern to the education and well being of their children.
Duties and Responsibilities
Community and Parent Outreach 75%
Enlist parent participation in enrolling their children in Elev8 programs.
Recruit and organize parents, community organizations and community members in advocating for sustaining and replicating Elev8/a full-service community school model (and the 3 components: extended day learning, school based health centers and family supports) on a local, state and national level.
Recruit and organize parents, community organizations and community members in advocating for issues of concern to middle school students and their families as identified by parents and the Elev8 team.
Participate in the planning and implementation of community and parent outreach campaigns through home visits, one on one and group meetings, phone calls and flier and email distribution and other methods.
Research, Evaluation and Assessment 15%
Assist the Elev8 Team with the development and refinement of evaluation and assessment tools.
Record parent and community contacts and the action they took toward achieving Elev8 goals.
Along with the Elev8 team, analyze and assess the successes and challenges of each campaign using recorded data and anecdotal experience.
Adjust strategies during a campaign and while planning new campaigns based on recorded data and anecdotal experiences.
Professional Development 5%
Participate in State Office sponsored A*VISTA trainings.
Participate in training opportunities offered by Elev8 and its stakeholders.
General Office Management 5%
Contribute to the overall management of outreach/organizing functions by ordering supplies, managing communications, copying and reproducing Elev8 materials and other relevant duties as assigned.
Compensation & Benefits:
$865 per month living allowance, minus federal and state income tax (which are usually minimal amounts, if any)

Coordinates with Vocational Rehabilitation (VR), Workforce Investment Act (WIA) and other outside agencies to acquire referrals and develop training placement and follow-up services. Maintains case files, progress notes, VR reports and necessary support documentation for all clients. May perform other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Develops and markets potential job openings to include development of OJT contracts
• Monitors expenditures of all OJT contracts
• Develops and follows Vocational Program Plans and/or Individual Service Strategies for each client; reviews plans with supervisor
• Participates on client service teams
• Obtains referrals and coordinates referred cases with VR counselors, ensuring authorizations remain applicable and current
• Ensures consumer program meets identified and authorized service standards according to VR contracts; tracks funding of referrals
• Prepares monthly progress reports for VR using the COPD format
• Coordinates with VR and WIA to provide training placement and follow-up services
• Submits all contract paperwork within the required guidelines
• Monitors all program components to include eligibility, documentation and contract compliance, and ensures all required client file contract documentation is complete
• Maintains an up-to-date employer contact record
• Meets with consumers to coordinate vocational services and facilitates client progress in program by providing job leads and labor market information
• Coordinates informational interviews and job interviews
• Maintains unit records of consumer contacts to include unit counts, attendance sheets, SOAP notes and daily checklists
• Provides follow-up services to ensure client and employer satisfaction
• Coordinates vocational information workshops for Deaf and Hard of Hearing consumers and employers
• Implements, reviews and maintains CARF procedures and adheres to COPD and CCS policies and procedures
• May drive agency or personal vehicle on company business
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s in Social Services or related field (six years of directly related experience may substitute for Bachelor’s)
• Fluency in American Sign Language
• 2 years experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals in vocational or educational setting
• Ability to work nights and/or weekends, if required
• Knowledge of the job market
• Pass drug screening
• Valid New Mexico Driver License, proof of insurance and New Mexico Motor Vehicle Division Motor Vehicle Report

Crisis Services Manager (Rape Crisis Center of CNM-Albuquerque)
Description: The CSC of RCCCNM is responsible for working with the Executive Director (ED) to develop, maintain and ensure the effectiveness of the Crisis Services Department. Our Crisis Services Department is designed to effectively address and reduce the impact of sexual violence through our work with survivors of sexual violence. RCCCNM currently provides two 24 hour services, including a crisis hotline and medical advocacy including services for Spanish-speaking survivors.
The Crisis Services Coordinator is responsible for managing the agency’s response to sexual assault crisis calls and services. Responsible for coordinating program planning and budget for the Department. Collaborates with other agencies and organizations to improve the community response to and services for victims/survivors of sexual assault. Maintains files and records for grants and statistics relevant to the Crisis Services team. Manages the back-up system for the 24-hour hotline. Supervises the Crisis Services Volunteer Coordinator(s) and Victim Advocates(s). Provides crisis intervention to survivors and their friends and families as scheduled/necessary.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services related field or a combination of relevant education, training, and experience totaling 4 years. Three years supervisory experience, with a minimum of 2 years direct services in sexual assault or related field and 1 year of direct crisis intervention experience. At least one year of grants management experience, including report/grant writing and program budgeting. Excellent crisis management skills. Access to own vehicle. Willingness to work with other agencies and develop collaborations for service provision. Conduct relationships in such a way as to promote mutual respect, public respect and improvement of services. Understanding and sensitivity to issues of cultural, class and relational diversity. Ability to adhere to strict standards of confidentiality. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must obtain Criminal Records Background clearance. Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

4. Supervise all Crisis Services Department staff and ensure that advocates and volunteers comply with agency caseload requirements and meet or exceed state, federal and agency standards for file maintenance.
5. Responsible for conducting annual staff evaluations and work with the ED to determine overall employee performance.
6. Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual reports, as required to meet funding and agency requirements
7. Maintain accurate records of each service provided in accordance with agency standards.
8. Utilize effective human resource and management skills.
9. Coordinate and supervise all aspects of Crisis Services staff and volunteer scheduling.
10. Maintain comprehensive resource and referral information for use in Crisis Services Department and within the organization on the whole.
11. Together with Crisis Services Staff, coordinate the development and maintenance of an effective 40 hour volunteer advocate training program and skill-building curriculum, which effectively address the issues relevant to survivors of sexual violence and meets statutory requirements.
12. Develop, implement and maintain Crisis Services policies and procedures. Ensure that Crisis Services program policies and procedures are clear, relevant and thorough.
13. Provides crisis intervention services by taking crisis calls, providing advocacy at the hospital and other off-sight visits, and by seeing clients on a walk-in basis.
14. Train staff on effective handling of problematic issues in Crisis Services, client behaviors or staff skill level.
15. Ensures that Crisis Services and RCCCNM is represented at all relevant MDT, CCR and Coalition meeting in the four County region.
16. Develop, implement and maintain data collection records, statistics and protocols for measuring Crisis Services program outcomes, program effectiveness and follow-up for survivors.
17. Plans and oversees the utilization of the Crisis Services Department budget.
18. Manages the back-up system for the Crisis Services program, including supervising Staff Back-Up and Secondary.
19. Coordinates the utilization of the answering service for Crisis Services.
20. Supervises the Crisis Services Volunteer Advocate Coordinator in order to develop and improve the volunteer system response to Sexual Assault.
21. Carries the Crisis Services rotating tertiary pager and, while on call, provides 24-hour back-up for the CS hotline.
22. Assists in ensuring the overall success of the Rape Crisis Center.
