Advanced Health Systems in Amarillo, Texas is in need of 2 - 3 physical therapy assistants (PTA) for its outpatient clinic.

The positions need to be filled immediately and PTAs hired would start ASAP.

Applicants must have all required licenses and accreditations to work in Texas. Our clinic facilitates a high daily patient load and any applicants must either have experience handling such a load or be willing to do so on a daily basis. Such a high patient load means that we need PTAs that can act independently of supervision most of the time but still accomplish all their assigned tasks.

Under the supervision of the Training Manager, the Training Coordinator will oversee and assist in the administration of the training programs for center associates. This position will assist Management in providing associates with a solid foundation to perform their job duties in a manner which will ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and protocol.

The responsibilities of this position are in addition to performing tasks in other work areas. Hours assigned to fulfill these responsibilities listed below depend on the number of associates in training and the training needs of the center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Assist management during new hire orientation and initial associate training.
2. Maintain training records for all associates. Review training files for completeness.
3. Oversee associate area training and assist other Designated Trainers to assure all training follows procedural requirements as defined in the donor center Standard Operating Procedure Manual.
4. Oversee and assist in annual recertification activities as appropriate.
5. In conjunction with the Quality Supervisor and management team, conduct training as needed related to:
- New/revised SOP procedures
- cGMPs
- OSHA
- Remedial training
- Other training as necessary

6. Identify additional training needs within the center.
7. Serve as a role model for associates in all areas, especially those related to compliance.

Required Skills:

High School Diploma or GED
Evaluation and/or translation of foreign education (high school, university, or professional training) must be provided.
Hold certification in at least one center area such as a Donor Processor, Phlebotomist, or Laboratory Processor. Achieve within 6 months, additional certifications as Donor Processor, Phlebotomist, Lab Processor and Quality Supervisor.
Must have legible handwriting.
Ability to read and write the English language.
Must be able to use a computer.
Ability to work with individuals one on one. Ability to assess training needs and present and or demonstrate material in a manner appropriate to the trainee's needs.
Ability to assess progress, provide constructive feedback and assess competency

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Ability to read and review documents for up to 4 hrs at a time.
2. Ability to stand for extended periods of time - up to four (4) hours at a time.
3. Ability to lift, tug, pull up to fifty (50) pounds.
4. Ability to view a video display terminal less than 18' away from face - up to four (4) hours a time.
5. Ability to travel by automobile and/or airplane.



Experience Required:

Six (6) months experience in a donor center preferred.
