Firewood (Ames) $100

We have a bunch of firewood for sale. The stack is about 4ft tall, 6.5ft wide and 18ft long, plus some extras. That amounts to over 5 full size truck loads, stacked.

All but about the last 2.5ft of the stack is seasoned and ready to burn. The rest was cut and split this year so it isn't fully dry yet. But I have been burning all of it this year so far. We would keep it but we decided not to use the fireplace as much this year as we did our wood burning stove last year.

I don't know what kind of wood it is, but it is a mix of many different trees.

$100 per stacked truck load. If you decide to take it all I'd sell it all for $450. Many people have been asking much more than that for firewood here.

You haul, but delivery is an option for an additional cost.

Newborn Foal Winter Blankets (Central Iowa)

I have for sale 2 different foal blankets...
Both are made by BMB and resemble the adult horse blankets. They have a nylon shell and nylon lining; belly strap, rear leg straps and a closed front. One is a 34" royal blue with red trim and is in new condition. The other is a 36" navy with silver trim. This one has a rub mark on the nylon binding if you look closely. It is in really good condition. Neither has rips, holes, etc.

Ewes & Lambs for sale (Alden, IA)

Approx 15-20 Cross bred (percentage Dorper and/or Katahdin) ewes and lambs available, these are hair sheep, some shed some have not but may in the future. Also, a few barbados and barbado crossbred sheep available. Two Dorper/Katahdin ewes have lambs on their side (3 total, 2 rams, 1 ewe). Others have been exposed to a ram mid summer and are currently out with a ram. All are easy to handle and be around, they are used to being handled by working dogs. We are looking to purchase a second hitch wagon for our miniature horse teams to pull. It must be in good enough condition to show in and reasonably priced. Broke dun mare-perfect for youth or women (Ames) $900

4 year old quarter horse mare. She is broke to ride. She will ride in the timber, down roads, around noisy vehicles. I have also taken her to a team penning clinic and she did well. Black hard feet, I have never had her shod. UTD on shots. I have never actually had her measured, but she's shorter than my 15.2 hand gelding. I'm guessing she's around 15 hands.



She is a very docile mare. She would be perfect for a youth looking to upgrade from their pony or a woman starting back into riding or looking for a enjoyable riding horse.



Because she is so laid back she does not do well in a herd. She is the lowest member of the pack and will be pushed around. (She's the horse on the left in the pic).

4 Gate Chain Link Panel for Dog Run or Other Enclosure (Kelley, IA) $100

I have a chain link panel with 4 gates on it that works great for a dog pen or other enclosure. If you have up to 4 pets, or areas that you need separated, you can use this one gate panel to access all four runs or areas. I have included two pictures below to illustrate how I use panels like this one for dog kennels coming off an outbuilding on my property.

This panel is versatile and would work great on a chicken coop or rabbit pen, or even on pens for goats or other smaller livestock.

Approximate measurements of each panel are 4' 1 1/2" tall and 10'8" wide.

My property was a commercial dog boarding kennel 20 or so years ago, so the panel is older and has some discoloration, but mechanically works great. I have three panels like this available and am asking $100 each, or best offer.

4 Level Ferret or Small Animal Cage (Kelley, IA) $20

4 level cage for ferrets or other small animals. This cage is older, a bit dented on the bottom, and does not have the slide out tray to catch droppings. The main door operates well, but my ferrets were escape artists so I used binder clips on the door which I will include.

This cage is fine for full time use by an animal, except for there is no tray, so you would need to put down newspapers.

Another, potential use for this cage would be if you already have a ferret or other small animal who already has a cage, and you could use this one to place them in while you clean out the main one. In the summer I put this cage down in the grass and the ferrets loved to play in it as the grass poked through the floor. It’s a nice thing to have as a backup or to have a place to put the animals outside for fresh air without having to move their big main cage.

Lot of 32 Used Stainless Bowls (Kelley, IA) $30

Stainless bowls great feeding for dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, goats or any animal. These came from an older commercial kennel, so some are a bit dented, but many are in perfect shape. I have approximately 5 large bowls, 18 medium bowls, and 9 smaller bowls. $30 takes all 32 bowls. Great deal if you have a kennel, shelter, or just have a lot of animals.

Large Air Ease Propane Heater for Shop, Barn, or Garage (Kelley, IA)

I have a large Propane heater currently installed in a dog kennel that was hooked into a propane tank at one time. The heater is older and I am not sure if it works. I could not get it started last winter, but I don’t know anything about these types of heaters so it may or may not be an easy fix. I have since had the propane tank removed so I have no way to test this unit out. Because I don’t know anything about this heater, whoever is interested in it would need to come un-install it to take it.

It is old and needs to be cleaned and probably fixed, but is still worth something, as at one time it was a fairly expensive unit. If you are a repair person who knows about these heaters, you could maybe fix it up fairly easily.

Large 4 Level Ferret Cage (Kelley, IA) $50

Used ferret cage. While it is not in mint condition, it still works well and was over $200 new. I have a clip holding up the ramps as the plastic pieces holding them up are worn out but this works out well.
