Looking for a room in a house (Ames)

I am a student getting a 2nd degree at ISU. I have lived on my own for a while, so would prefer not to go back to a dorm/apartment situation. I might teach music lessons for extra income if it is possible (probably about afternoon/evening per week) and am otherwise fairly quiet. I appreciate things being tidy and will work to keep common areas that way, but don't always make the effort for my own space when I get busy with other obligations. I enjoy cooking, so I would like to have access to a nice kitchen. I will have a full time overnight job, so will only be home about 2 nights per week. I really just need a room, but would like the option to use a bigger space to tackle a project occasionally.

Family of three looking for a rental property to occupy for the next three years. My fiance' and I, and our son are in need of a 2 or 3 bedroom duplex or house. We are not too picky, but we do have some things we're looking for. We would love to be able to have direct tv. A garage would be stellar. Preferably a two car. I do woodworking as a hobby. I promise not to be running power tools at night, lol. Washer and dryer hook ups would be great also and a washer and dryer included in the rental would be even better. Last but not least; pets would have to be ok for us to have. We have two little shih tzus who both are potty trained and well behaved. We do crate them when we are not home. It's just been a good habit to keep. They are both fixed, and up to date on their vaccinations. We do have the paperwork for all of their procedures. We are responsible pet owners.

Other than that there isn't alot to tell. We are transferring to ISU to finish our degrees. We are currently attending DMACC. Our son is seven years old and will not write on your walls or anything like that.
We can afford around $700-$800 a month for rent. Our rent will always be on time and we will be wanting to stay in between terms. I will be studying at Iowa State this spring taking math prerequisites I need for graduate school. I will be in Ames for ONE SEMESTER ONLY and am looking for a room to rent for the spring semester. My sister and I (both recent college graduates working fulltime careers) are looking for a house to rent beginning December 31, 2009. My brother and sisters are coming home to Ames to visit parents and are looking for a furnished house to rent. We are all middle aged "model citizens" with refs to prove it. We would simply like to be able to chat in the evening while the kids sleep, something that is hard to do if each of us is in a different hotel room. We will spend most of our waking hours at our parents' house during our six days in Ames, so are really just looking for a place with lots of bedrooms and a couple of bathrooms-- we might not even cook at the rental house. Southern IA for Central IA - Swap (Centerville, IA)

I work in Ames and it is a 2 hour drive from Centerville. Would like to find a compare house in central Iowa (close to Ames) to trade. Approx 1800 Sq Ft house. Approx 1000 sq Ft built in 1995, then a 16 X 24 2 story addition built in 2006. Original house has an approx 4' crawl space that is 1/3 concrete floored. Addition is Basement with a walk out to concrete patio. It has 18' thick foundataion. It has 2 windows and french doors that go to the walkout. Basement of Walkout has one big room and large storage closet. We use it for our computer room / video game / piano room. Upstairs of the additon is one large room with Cathedral ceiling. We use as a tv / dinning room. the house has 2 regular bedrooms and a master Bedroom. One regular bath and a Master Bath. The master bath has a 2 person whirlpool tub / shower. House has a never ending Hot water put in in 2006. The top floor of the addition has a sliding glass door that goes onto a patio(mostly composite). then off of that patio is a patio that goes to a 21' diameter Pool that has a heater and automatic cholrine system. Mostly new carpet in 2006. The lot is 60 x 200. On the north our good neighbor is the Appanoose County fair grounds(used only 2 weeks a year). On the edge of town. The West of our additon looks out of a 9' x 5' window unto a forested area.
