i want to start a folky band (Ames/Boone)

Hey all,

i want to start a folky/indie band. i am an ok rhythm guitarist, and have written several songs that i think have lots of potenial. but my voice is not strong enough to base a band around.

i am looking for anyone in the area who wants to get together and see what happens. the music is in the vein of Iron and Wine, Conor Oberst, The Mountain Goats, Frontier Ruckus. that folky roots sounds. i'd love to have a bluegrass feel also, if at all possible.

so if you can sing, play bass, drums, guitar, banjo, or mandolin, and wanna see what happens, let me know.

Guitarist for Classic Rock Band (Ames)

We are a very established classic rock band in need of a guitar player. Must have good equipment and want to play once or twice a month. We have been together for 20+ years and have gigs waiting for us to fill this spot. We have a complete PA and lighting. We practice once a week and have safe and secure place to practice and store equipment. We have no ego problems and don't need any. We now consist of two guitars bass drums and a vocalist.
