My name is Katy and I am interested in babysitting or nannying for you. I would like to start off by telling you a little about myself. I am a 25 year old American from Seattle, Washington. I have lived in Amsterdam for 1 year with my husband, he is from Germany.
Below is a list of my experience as an au pair, child care worker.

2005
I have had some experience as a nanny and au pair in the last 10 years. Here is a brief description of my experience;
I have been a live in au pair for a family for 1 year. The children were ages 9 months and 3 years old, two girls. My duties were light house work, spending time with the girls, taking them on walks, doing educational things with them, taking the oldest girl to pre school, diaper changing, potty training, and all the joys and necessities of taking care of children.

2004-2007
I have also been a volunteer for my church's children's program on sundays. This was in the USA. For 3 years I was a children's worker. In the program there were 200 children in total.
For 9 months I worked in a nursery with babies (newborn-9 months)
For 3 months I worked with toddlers (10 months-18mnths)
Occasionally I would fill in with the 2 year olds.
And for 9 months I worked with the 3 year olds.
In order to work with the children it required that I had a 5 year background check, CPR certified training. Which I have completed both.

I can tell you first hand that one of the joys in my life is having fun, laughter, being creative, and also having a hard days work. During my days at home I am working as an artist, painting and decorating.

Childminder Wanted (Amsterdam)

We are a little Irish family living in Amsterdam, and we are looking for a childminder for 3 months. Starting December 3RD .This is to cover our existing childminder who will be away at this time. We are looking for a kind, patient and fun loving person with experience to look after our son named Ronin. He is 18 months old and very smart and funny. He loves music. He can understand both English and Dutch. But English is his main language. There is no cooking or cleaning involved, your priority would be Ronin.

The position is for 4 days a week Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9.15 to 18.15 or 11.15 to 18.15 depending on our work schedule. I would like it if you could come to our house to take care of Ronin. Obviously we would need to meet a few times before this so Ronin can get used to you and you to him. ENGLISH CHILDMINDER (GASTOUDER) (HILVERSUM)

My name is Alison Davies-Bell. My husband John and I moved from Liverpool to Hilversum, Netherlands in August 2000. We made our home here and in September 2007 our son was born. I studied in the UK to work with children completing my N.N.E.B. in 1995. Since then I have had vast and varied experience, in England, I worked as a children’s nanny, a teaching assistant in a primary school working with 4 – 7 year olds, and ran a successful out of school unit for 4 – 11 year olds.

While living in the Netherlands I have worked for 4 years at Nikes’ European Headquarters and for 3 years at the British School of Amsterdam working as a teaching assistant with 3 – 5 year olds.
Since my son was born I have worked from my own home as a childminder (gastouder) I provide English speaking childcare in a fun, stimulating, warm, home from home environment to children from Hilversum and the surrounding areas.

For under 4 year olds this includes full days 08.00 – 18.00 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, breakfast, lunch and dinner can be provided by myself if needed.

For school age children I provide after school care 4 days per week 15.00 – 18.00 (excluding Wednesdays) dinner can be provided and cover for teacher training days and school holidays if needed.

I am a registered childminder which enables parents to claim back the childcare allowance.
