You Mailed My Postcards from Amsterdam (California) 25yr

I'd sat down in a park one day in Amsterdam while on holiday and had written a grip of postcards to various special people in my life: girlfriend, mother, etc... I foolishly put them in my back pocket and mounted my bike and went riding, looking for a post box to drop them in. Once I'd gotten there I reached into my back pocket only to find that they'd all slipped out. A few weeks later, my mother said to me, "I got a postcard from you from Amsterdam." My girlfriend received hers as well.

I don't know who you are, but I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for having sent out those cards. It substantiates my claims that people are good and are worthy of the lives they're given because most people will ultimately do the right thing. Such a small effort that became such a large act.

I don't know that you should ever see this, but if by some grace of karma (or the powers that be) you do, please know that you have my most sincere gratitude and that I will pay your good deed forward when the opportunity confronts me. You're a beautiful person and the world could use more like you.
