Thanksgiving Plans (Ann Arbor or surrounding areas)

My Thanksgiving Day plans were just cancelled. I was thinking of volunteering at a shelter and then going out to dinner.

I also have a few friends from other countries that want to join me, so I was thinking of making it an International Thanksgiving. I wanted to see who was interested in joining us for some volunteering and dinner, since this is a college town and many people are far away from home. There are three of us so far.

Looking for a climbing partner (Ann Arbor)

Hi,

I have climbed before, but never consistently enough to build much skill. So my technique needs a lot of work.

I was at Planet Rock by myself recently and realized that I needed to work with a rope before I was ready to boulder.

I'm in good shape, fairly athletic, and available weekday evenings--particularly Mondays and Wednesdays, and usually Fridays.

I also have a car and my own equipment. I'm 27, in case that matters.

Game Players Wanted Ages 20-60 (Ann Arbor)

Looking for people to play games like Spades, Pictionary, Euchre, Apples to Apples, Taboo, SET, on a monthly basis. I love playing games but find that most of my friends aren't that into it. So I'd like to meet people who really enjoy playing games. I also have a championship fooseball table in my basement. I'm real open as to when the get togethers would be: Fri or Sat nights or Sunday day or nights all work for me. It can always be at my place or we could move around to different peoples' houses. I envision the group could be very diverse: singles, couples, parents with teens-- anybody that's into the games I've mentioned above. The games could be combined with food i.e. brats, nachos, pizza if people wanted to. It’s cool if people want to bring their alcoholic beverage of choice but I reserve the right to ask anybody who gets drunk to leave. I will have tables and chairs set up on all three floors of my townhouse so you will have the option to play three different games plus fooseball. I recently moved to Ann Arbor and am looking to join a men's indoor soccer team, starting immediately. I prefer to play in defense, and can cover as goalkeeper. Most recently, I played in several Washington, DC-area indoor and outdoor leagues.

I have a co-ed indoor soccer team at High Velocity in Canton and need two more girls to play on it. We're in the lowest division, called The Uglies, and like beer. There are 8 games on Thursday nights at 8 or 9:30 with two games at 11:15. It will cost about $65. Prior experience is not necessary: As long as you show up, pay, and try we'll love you. Season starts Thursday Nov. 5th. Rides are available from the Ann Arbor Ypsi area; High Velocity is about 15-20 minutes from Ann Arbor, 10 from Ypsi.

Adults to learn double dutch (Ann Arbor)

I'm a 26-year-old female already proficient at jumping rope but I've never tried double dutch and think it'd be a really fun way to explore rhythms, songs and new movements with other people. I've got the ropes -- I just need two more people! Co-Ed Indoor Soccer Team looking for Female players (Ann Arbor, MI)

My team is looking for one or two more Female players for the upcoming session at Wide World Sports in Ann Arbor. The league plays every THURSDAY with game times in the evening sometime between 7:00pm - 11:00pm (schedule not yet released). Cost to play is around $95 per person or less depending on our final headcount. The first game is coming up next week on October 29th.

Agewise we are between 18 to 30 years old for the most part. Most players on our team have atleast some past high school soccer experience or more but the big factor to me is EFFORT and willingness to give it 100% and run hard.

We've picked up players via Craigslist before including people including people on the current team and many have stayed with us for several sessions so don't be shy! Email me with questions.
