Web Marketing Genius - Ski & Snowboard Internship (Ann Arbor, MI)

Sun & Snow Sports is a ski and snowboard shop on the west side of Ann Arbor. We have an online presence and are searching for a qualified candidate for an internship with the possibility of full time employment. The position would be responsible for creating enticing and creative email blasts, constantly updating and remodeling the web site to stay fresh, and daily brainstorming sessions with other team members to develop and deploy exciting events and marketing promotions in and around Ann Arbor.

All applicants must provide some type of portfolio of previous work/projects, have an in-depth knowledge of Adobe products (Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver), HTML or similar code, knowledge of shopping cart software and basic database management. You must also be into some type of action sport (skiing, snowboarding, climbing, mountain biking, etc) so that you can connect with your audience.

Studio Assistant Wanted (Ann Arbor)

I'm looking for local artists who would like part-time studio assistant jobs in a local - and very prolific - art studio in Ann Arbor.


Qualifications:

•Excellent drawing and painting skills
•Familiarity with acrylic, watercolor and oil
•Excellent color mixing abilities (Photorealism a plus)
•Ability to stretch very large (36x60+) canvases
•Comfort using sprayed varnish and other material (Ventilator provided)
•Intermediate photoshop skills and laptop with CS3+
•Comfort with heavy lifting



Desired but not required:

•Ability and/or equipment to cut plywood and other materials into various shapes, like surreal numbers, perfect circles, outlines of faces, silhouettes, etc.
•Fine sculpting ability – forming clay into small, intricately detailed shapes
•Technical knowledge or background of installation art, large commercial sculptures, and a wide range of material compatibilities
•Research and analytical ability to investigate and qualify prospective venues for future shows, galleries, competitions, and art fairs
•Administrative abilities, financial tracking, database management, good on the phone, etc.

Are you a complete idiot? You want a graphic designer and an assistant, and would prefer one with web design, and marketing background and to have experience after college? All for 9-12 hour? You do realize you are looking at 4 different jobs here right? Graphic designers do that, they graphic design. Web programmers do just that they program websites. Marketing people do just that they market. Assistants are just that, they are assistants. I am sick of morons like you posting on craigslist expecting people to do everything and anything for nothing. I personaly think it is you that does not have a clue about what you need, and have no real idea on the cost that it will take for you to get quality work done. You pay shit pay, expect to get shit work that is how the world works. You get what you pay for.





Must:
-Have experience in graphic design for print (please have samples available)
-Be punctual and not have lots of personal conflicts that would interfere with work hours
-Be organized and have a great attention to detail
-Have work experience in graphic design outside of college
-Experience with file preparation for output and outsourcing

Photographer Wanted for Cross Country Meet 11/7 (Brooklyn)

Runnerspace.com is looking for a photographer to take photos at the Michigan High School LP State Cross Country Championships, held at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn on Saturday, Nov. 7th.

Pay is $75 for the following:

100 photos (general coverage of both boy’s and girl’s races), no captions needed
Photos sent by FTP to our server by the end of the day of the meet (photo credit will be listed for every photo)
Shots of winner of each race as they cross the finish line, general action shots throughout race
We do not sell any photos on our site, we are simply displaying a photo gallery of the event.
We do not have a media pass for this event, so access may be limited to spectator areas.
Admission fee will be reimbursed.
