Used Japanese (?) Drumset (Chelsea, MI) $275

I am selling a used Japanese (?) drumset (not sure of the brand or model, but some of the hardware on the drums is stamped "Made in Japan") with a brown swirl wrap finish. It seems to be a 1960's vintage Japanese stencil drumset, but I'm not sure since the badges on the drums had fallen off long before I got the kit -- so I really have no idea what it is! This is a good basic kit for jazz, blues and even rock. It has a very good open sound and looks great.

The drums are:

- 22x14 bass drum
- 13x9 high tom
- 16x14 floor tom
- 14x4.5 Slingerland metal snare drum

The kit also includes:

- Ludwig Speed King bass drum pedal
- Ludwig hi-hat stand with newer clutch
- Snare drum stand
- Two very lightweight straight cymbal stands (no booms)
- Bass drum mounted tom holder

All of the gear is used and is in generally good condition. There is some discoloration, pitting and wear on the chrome and the finish. The heads were all replaced in the last six months and are in pretty good condition. No cymbals, just drums and hardware! Cash only, local sales only, all sales final.

ENGL E530 Guitar Preamp - All Tube (Downtown) $500

PIANO - Baby Grand Antique (Canton Township) $5500

Louis XV carved grand piano built by the famous Marshall & Wendell Piano Company in about 1924. Marshall & Wendell built high quality, expensive pianos from about 1836-1953, one of the few American piano manufactures to survive well over a century! This piano is made of carved mahogany wood and measures 5’4” long. It is considered a perfect size for most homes. A bench is included. It has not been restored and works for us. We are downsizing out of state so don't need any longer. It is being sold as is.

Here is a little history on the Mendelssohn Piano Company

The Mendelssohn Piano Company. A leading Toronto manufacturer of pianos in the early 1900s. It was formed by Henry Durke (b Liverpool 1863, d Toronto 1929) and David M. Best with assets of an unsuccessful company of the same name purchased in 1892 by Durke. (The earlier company, of which Durke had been an employee, was founded ca 1886 by William Wilson, president, and William Baird, managing director with facilities on King and Duke streets.) By 1897 Durke had become the sole proprietor and manager. His erstwhile partner later (ca 1900) founded D.M. Best & Co, makers of piano strings and hammers. Durke prided himself on producing a moderately priced piano and advertised it in the Canadian Music Trades Journal as 'made in Canada, by Canadian workmen, for use in Canadian homes.' The factory and showrooms were located on Adelaide St West. The company had built some 25,000 pianos before its sale in 1919 (on Durke's retirement) to the Bell Piano and Organ Co of Guelph, Ont. The Mendelssohn Piano Co continued in name until 1928, when Bell began advertising itself as the manufacturer of the Mendelssohn instrument. After Bell's sale in the early 1930s to the Lesage Co of St-Thérèse-de-Blainville, Que, the latter company continued to use the Mendelssohn name on some of its instruments into the early 1970s.

Antique Estey Pump Organ (warren, mi) $100

An antique Estey pump organ in excellent condition... I can look it up, but as I recall its from 1842. It still has the serial number visible. I had it looked at awhile back by an organ expert and he said it was a great find and in great shape. I know it sounds good when I play it. The organ is 23" deep x 46"wide x 38" tall. Unlike pianos, its rather easy to move.

I would really like to donate it to a museum, but don't know how to go about doing that, so I thought I would just give it to someone who would really appreciate it instead for a ridiculously low price.

FS/FT: Soloway Swan: Boutique Extended Scale (27") Electric Guitar (Ann Arbor) $2400

First and foremost... it ISN'T a baritone. Standard EADGBE tuning ALTHOUGH the extended scale lends itself to down tuning beautifully.

Selling to fund the purchase of another (fully hollow) Soloway. The guitar was in the mid-upper $3000 range when it was new. I don't really feel I can describe the guitars sound without seeming like a salesperson spewing hyperbole. There aren't a ton of them floating around so it's highly unlikely you've played one or even one similar to it before. There are plenty of reviews and they are discussed quite a bit on The Gear Page's Small Builder Section (which Jim Soloway is a member of). The guitar MUST be heard and played in person to be appreciated.

I am of the opinion that the guitar is absolutely beautiful sounding. I've never heard cleaner more articulate chords than through this guitar and single notes just explode off the fretboard. You playing the guitar will do a better job of selling it than my description ever will so I implore you to come and just play it yourself. The guitar just sings.

Even if you aren't serious about buying the guitar I love to show it off so hit me up if you want to try it out sometime. Perhaps Soloway will take any customers I refer to him in the future into account when he gives me a quote for my next Swan. :P

Jasmine S33 Acoustic Guitar (Ann Arbor) $100

Les Paul "Project" (YPSI) $300

This guitar needs ASSEMBLY, and that's it.
Ok here's the scoop
Quilt top Les Paul by Epiphone.
This was a Limited Edition from about 97 or 98 (I know big deal right?) LOL
I have EVERTHING to put this guitar into working order and then some
I have a bridge and tail piece, a brand new bone nut, and the pickup in the bridge was replaced with a Seymour Duncan Distortion
This axe needs ONE thing other than strings to be ready to assemble and rock
The bridge post studs need to be pulled and replaced with the studs that fit the replacement bridge for this guitar.
The studs are black that are currently installed in the body
The replacement studs for the bridge and tail piece are chrome.
The threaded bolts for the tail piece are compatible but the bridge threads don;t jive
Again, I have the parts that are needed to make the swap
The tuners are Black Epi Kluson style tuners
If you want to upgrade to Genuine BRAND NEW Gibson Deluxe Chrome Kluson style tuners, I have a set I will sell for an extra $40.
I won't throw these in sorry

The SD-1 comes from a long line of Ensoniq's evolving TransewaveTM wave-table digital synthesizers. Starting with the ESQ-1, next came the SQ-80 and then the VFX. The VFX was given a sequencer and called the VFX-SD, and that later evolved into the SD-1 (and it eventually led to the Fizmo). The SD-1 allows for PPG-like synthesis using waveform modulation, a sort of wavetable synthesis. This puts it into a unique class of digital synthesizers along with the PPG Wave series and Waldorf Microwave series.

The SD-1 can create all sorts of acoustic, electric, digital, and analog-like sounds. Its piano sound has over 1 MB of 16-bit waveforms to give it a full and rich realistic tone not found on other digital synthesizers of the time. This is a 24-track sequencer with 25,000 note capacity and it holds up to 60 sequences and 20 songs. There is quantization (96 ppqn), real-time or step entry, looped or linear mode, and auto-punch in/out. Tracks can be set to control the SD-1's internal voices or external MIDI equipment, or both at the same time! An on-board 3.5" disk drive allows you to store your programs sequences, songs, and even MIDI SysEx data. The SD-1 is compatible with all VFX and VFX-SD program librarys too. This is a German made Force 3000 birch drum set. The sizes are: toms 9"x10" 10"x12" 12"x14" bass 16"x20" snare 6 1/2" x 14"(10 lug). They have been refinished in a vertical grain walnut veneer with a satin finish. All of the bearing edges and snare beds are original. Electro-Harmonix 2880 Delay + Remote!!! (Ann Arbor) $425

The two units are in very good condition and work as they should. Sooo very much fun! I know a few guitar players who gig using just a delay like this. Nowadays, there are a lot of musicians who are using loopers like this one to create great pop works. But that's them. This unit is for you!

It has four distinct tracks, reverse, quantize, can drop an octave, and punch-in. All have distinct buttons for the functions, and for this delay, the remote is VITAL. I tried it without it, and it's still a good delay, but not the same. Full functionality comes when you can continue playing and just hit the remote in time, and you're, as they say, 'Rockin it'.

Soundcraft 200BVE (Ann Arbor, MI) $350

I am selling my Soundcraft 200BVE audio mixer, stand and manual. I hate to do this, but lack of both space and money are forcing the sale. It's in good condition, except for the #2 channel, which does not work. I've always meant to fix it, but just never got around to doing it.

OK, back to the matter at hand. The console has 12 channels (2 of which are stereo), 4 main buses, 4 auxillary outputs and dedicated mix outputs. The auxiliary outputs are selectable between both pre/post EQ and pre/post Fade by use of push-on jumpers on the PCB. The console has 4 VU meters reading Group Outputs 1-4. Meters 3 & 4 are switchable as a pair to read the monitor source. The board can supply +48V Phantom Power for those mics that need it.

I used it for a FOH mixer, but it can also be used as a recording mixer. It's old, but a great board.
