Sean Hannity to Jon Stewart: "You're right, we faked footage"

Fox News host Sean Hannity apologized on his show Wednesday night after it was revealed by comedian Jon Stewart that the program had used archived footage of a well-attended rally and passed it off as a recent health care protest in Washington, D.C.

Hannity spent the last 30 seconds of his show addressing the controversy, giving no explanation and calling the use of 2-month-old footage in a current news package "inadvertent."

"He was correct," Hannity said. "We screwed up."

The Fox News program used footage from a much larger Sept. 12 rally during a discussion on a health care rally from last week.

The archived footage was used to portray public outrage to the then-pending health care reform legislation in the House. The bill was passed by the House late Saturday.

Hannity ended his program Wednesday with a message for Stewart.

"By the way, I want to thank you and all your writers for watching," he said.

It all comes down to term limits. No one is in the legislature long enough to develop the skills and relationships necessary to write smart laws and pass smart taxes.

So, you get these back-door tax increases in the form of fees on people who it's popular to slam - bad drivers, people who drink & smoke, etc.

What we need are smart taxes, like an income tax where the rate is tied to how much you make, like most of the rest of the country has. It's insane that people making a million dollars a year are paying the same measly 4.4% that the guy who makes $20,000 pays.

Get that changed, and these back-door fees wouldn't be needed.

But you won't find the guts in Lansing to do that as long as no opne stays more than a few years.

Term limits suck.

Obama Health snare (USA)

Common sense says you dont need to go protest in Washington against this bill. Nobody wants this bill to pass ...because no one has read it and they say it wont cost a dime...the paper it is printed on costs about a nickel a sheet so do the math . Its great that Washington has found a way to do things for free...and if any thing fails we have a printing press that can bail us out over and over again hmm sounds magical...I really do like this magical money machine.. Maybe, they can make everyone a millionaire..hmm i guess no one would have to work then...I guess thats how it goes when you run a magical kingdom. right?? You demonstrate your own ignorance. The Gaza strip was not used to create a Palestinian anything, moron. All of Israel was a Palestinian state Prior to world war II. Take a moment to study your history. Google search the Balfour Declaration. Educate yourself before you open your mouth and spew false information.

I am a long-time Ann Arbor resident and member of Arrowwood Hills Co-Op for 20 years. I am alumni from Washtenaw Community College with Associate of Applied Science degree in Graphic Design Technology fields, also senior at Siena Heights University, Bachelor of Applied Science. I am former Precinct Delegate Ann Arbor City 1st Ward Precinct 10. I have been serving on the board of directors of the Bonisteel Masonic Library, as well. I am knowledgeable and passionate about the City of Ann Arbor.

My political progressive view will be an independent voice on Ann Arbor City Council. I support these five core values.

1. Fiscal Responsibility by City Counsel members
2. Transparency and truth in Government
3. Expanded support of Affordable Housing and Day Care
4. Solutions for fixing the homeless problem in Ann Arbor
5. Multi-Culturalism - Economic, Ethnic & Cultural Diversity

I believe that no one should experience poverty or have to go without health coverage.
I oppose efforts by the government to intrude in the most personal decisions such as reproductive choice and right to die.
