My step-daughter is here every other weekend and Wednesday nights during the school year and basically every other week during the summer. I am a certified in-home daycare I have taken EC1, EC2, Infant/Toddler, CPR training, SIDS, and First-Aid along with my continuing education classes. My 3 ½ yr old son does attend Hilbert Elementary school 3 times a week. He at a very early age was diagnosed with seizures which are now completely under control. He has also been diagnosed with Autism and with that comes Appraxia of Speech, Sensory Input Disorder, and Mood Swing just to name a few. I have taken extra classes to better understand what my son is going through and want to help out other families with children who are going through the same thing. We do use the PECS system through out our house and daily lives.


I do offer home made meals and nutritious snacks along with 1% milk and Juicy Juice. I am willing to work with any kids that have special diets and as long as I know ahead of time I can make certain meals for your child. We also have a swing set, riding toys, and plenty of outside toys, including a climber, along with many inside toys and activities. We also do arts and crafts, coloring, playtime, circle time, I try not to get so high strung on keeping strictly to a schedule cause as we all know kids are kids and should be able to have fun.

I only take 3 kids at a time so we get the best of both worlds! We get to have playmates and they get a lot of individualized attention. Together, we have traveled to the building for kids, the NEW ZOO, Greenville zoo, Milwaukee zoo, Milwaukee museum, Bay beach, miniature golfing, wild air gym, sunset park beach, the library, and chuck-e-cheese.

I spend time each day reading to them and helping them learn things in their age category. Every week when I get paid, I add a new learning toy to my playroom (and I do take suggestions and requests). My playroom is quite huge and we have every toy you can imagine from train tables to Dora to Build-A-Bear to make believe, to blocks, to Barbie and they get to express themselves in many different ways! They are not limited to just the playroom, though, like some daycare atmospheres.

My own daughter skipped first grade and went from kindergarten to second grade because of all the time we spent learning at home. She is now a 3rd grader. I also have fun learning toys and we sing and dance and I have a fun backyard and a GREAT park not even 6 houses away from my home. I have a huge wagon and a double stroller and weather permitting, we get to play outside everyday. I keep the heat up nice and toasty warm in the winter time and the central air on nice and cool in the summer time so nap, play and meal time is always comfortable.

I also capture our moments on camera and when I accumulate a few, I put them onto a CD for the parents to take home and enjoy.

I have a very clean record and 0 criminal history. I also spend alot of time volunteering at my daughter's school and have had a complete background check done by them every new school year for eligibility.

My rates are as follows:
For newborn to age 1, I charge $40.00 per day. If they come 4 hours or less is $25.00.
For ages 1 to 2, I charge $35.00 per day with breakfast and lunch meals included. If they come 4 hours or less is $20.00
For ages 3 to 6 , I charge $30.00 per day with breakfast and lunch meals included. If they come for 4 hours or less, I only charge $18.00.
For ages 7 and up, I charge $25.00 per day with breakfast and lunch meals included. If they come for 4 hours or less is $13.00.
For the supper meal, I charge an additional $3.00.

I offer a small discount for 2 kids in the same family. (IF you would prefer to pay hourly, I am willing to accept that as well but usually the day charge is a better deal for the parents.) I offer negotiable rates to families with unique scheduling needs.

All of my kids I currently have come from very nice families, are extremely well behaved, and are the best kids I could have ever hoped for. When you post, you are providing your résumé and/or application to your prospective employer; the parent. In the Fox Valley, there are many daycare centers, licensed and certified providers as well as stay at home moms who are watching other children. Parents have a ton of options on where they can place their child(ren). Twice in the past 8 years I have posted a classified to fill an opening. Both times I received numerous responses from prospective parents. I was able to set up many interviews with the prospective families and had my choice of who would be the best fit. Craigslist is a wonderful (and free!!) advertising tool. There are definitely enough craigslist users in the Fox Valley. You can be assured that your classified is being read my many!

WITH THAT BEING SAID:
If you find yourself constantly posting, not receiving any response or are getting the “wrong” type of response it may be that you are doing something wrong. Please take a moment before you finalize your posting and make sure your classified says what you really want it to say; by accidently leaving out the word “not” it completely changes the meaning of your sentence and makes you look pretty silly. Check to see that your post is free of spelling and typing errors such as missing spaces between words, improper capitalization or missing punctuation. It is very difficult to read a posting when, as the reader, we don’t know when one sentence ends and another begins. Also, this is not a texting forum; make sure you are not using “text speak”. It is hard for the reader to understand and makes it look like you are too lazy to type out the words completely.

As a parent myself, I personally would not reply to most of the classifieds I see posted on here (and many of the ones I’m speaking of I see posted time and time again). Put yourself in the parent’s shoes. If you can’t take enough time to fix your grammar, spelling, spacing, capitalization and punctuation errors are you going to take the time to take care of the most important things – my children.
