Duties:
Develop, install, and maintain cost effective methods of manufacturing and fair and equitable manufacturing operating standards. Coordinates the planning, design, and installation of machinery and equipment in an industrial environment, using knowledge of engineering and programming, as well as sophisticated instruments and computers. Participates at initiation phase of new product lines to assist in design for cost effective manufacturing, develops and designs workplace layout, handling devices, building tooling by motion economy principles, and oversees installation to see that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications. Develops, installs, and maintains equitable standards. Measures variances to standards, identifies out-of-control variances, investigates reasons, suggests solutions, installs, and follows up.
Selects appropriate technique of work measurement for and measures work contents of support labors. Installs standards, measures performance against standards, and keeps tally of the methods changes reducing cost of production. Position reports to the Engineering Manager.
Requirements:
Minimum - Associate Degree in Engineering and 4 plus years experience in manufacturing operations. As much of the following as possible: computer/programming, machining, 3D CAD/Solidworks, Fanuc/

Under the direction of the Manufacturing Operations Manager, coordinates and supervises the activities of Tool Room Machinists. We're seeking an individual with experience in supervision, scheduling, training and development of staff in a team environment. Ensure high quality is produced, most efficiently, meeting requirements and performance standards, customer specifications and delivery deadlines. Qualifications:
- Experience with Tool Room production operations and equipment for fixture manufacturing
- Equipment experience includes CNC & Manual milling, manual lathe, grinding, EDM (wire, sinker, hole drilling) and fixture assembly.
- Knowledge/experience with blueprint reading, inspection gages (understanding and usage)
- Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions
- Continuous process improvement required
- Knowledge of CNC Turning is helpful, but not required
Pre-employment Drug Testing is required. Random Drug and Alcohol testing is also required as a condition of employment

Job Responsibilities:
- Develop product sketches and processes that will be most cost effective in regards to new products.
- Optimize tool design by working with manufacturing engineers.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, and provide problem-solving solutions.
- Investigate process effectiveness using statistical methodology, such as: DOE, FMEA and Six Sigma techniques.
- Develop cost reductions on current processes.
- Responsible for developing and defining inspection methods, evaluating process efficiency, and implementing MPC (Manufacturing Process Control) plans.
- Establish and maintain engineering standards.
- Evaluate job and tooling cost.
Job Requirements:
- BS Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Engineering related degree from an accredited college or university is required.
- Minimum of 3+ years experience in Manufacturing related positions.
- Experiences in Sheet Metal Forming, CNC Machining, Fusion/Resistance Welding, Heat Treating/Brazing, 5-axis laser cutting are preferred.
- Drafting ability in 3D modeling with SolidWorks or other related software.
- Understand Six Sigma methodology and ability to apply statistical techniques in manufacturing environment. Six Sigma certification would be a plus!
- Excellent communication skills, multi-tasking abilities and can work with others.
- Self-starter, dependable, and reliable.

Welding Lead Opportunity (Appleton)
Welding Lead - Contract to Direct Opportunity with a great client of ours!
Education:
Min. 2-year technical degree in welding including MIG, TIG certification in mild steel, stainless, aluminum.
Responsibilities:
•Working under weld department supervisor, take lead role in all welding operation, in particular complicated weldments, custom cabinetry, creation of fixtures and jigs.
•Setup and welding using welding processes including, gas metal arc welding (MIG), gas tungsten arc welding (TIG).
•Setup and operation of fabrication equipment including saws, iron workers, shears, rollers, hand brakes, belt grinders/finisher.
•Ability to achieve certification in carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum processes.
•Blueprint reading, interpretation of welding symbols.
•Responsible for first piece and final inspection to insure parts comply with customers’ dimensional, process, aesthetic and other requirements.
•Regular and periodic equipment maintenance.
Skills and abilities:
•Have a clear understanding of, and experience with, reading and interpreting drawings and blue prints, including weld symbols and machining notations.
•Minimum 5 years of experience with MIG and TIG welding methods pertaining to mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum sheet, tube and angle using methods that minimized secondary operations such as grinding.
•Demonstrated ability to achieve high quality weldments through continual attention to detail and anticipation of potential problems during the weld planning and design review stages.
•Experience with weldment quality inspection methods.
•Confident, productive welder with the ability to work closely with other welders and management while keeping production flowing and meeting due dates.
•Familiarity with classification of metals, effects of heating and cooling on metals, and identification of metals.
