Assistant for small family business (Wausau WI)

Small family business seeks female assistant

This is not just a job, but more of an opportunity to help assist us and you to regain a stable living situation. Selected candidate will be trained and working with me as an assistant and will be available to travel and work long days. She will assist my fiancée (Scott) and me (Corina) in numerous tasks involving real estate property preservation work. Most long days consists of travel more than labor. Although our work is not generally labor intensive, we prefer that you be in fair physical condition. Must be drug-free with no criminal or felony background. Random drug testing may be done by corporate company we service. We would prefer a single woman without children, because of the amount of traveling we do.

Preference will be given to homeless persons. In exchange for your work we will provide room and board (we only have room for one extra person in our home) and a small weekly cash payment. All other persons will be strongly considered for a weekly predetermined cash payment. Interviews will be conducted over the phone (we can call you if need be) unless you are local to the Wausau area. We will provide transportation for you to our home if you do not live in the area and are homeless and are selected to work for us.

Requirements

• Available to travel with us throughout central Wisconsin
• Available to work long hours (though mostly travel time)
• Fair physical shape
• Ability to lift on average 40 lbs
• No criminal or felony background
• Able to pass random drug testing
• Attention to detail
• Follows verbal and written directions

Duties

• Filling out forms
• Use a digital camera to document work as it’s completed
• Basic computer knowledge (e.g. – e-mail, internet, photo downloading)
• Lawn mowing
• Snow blowing/shoveling
• House cleaning
• Assist in various home repairs
