Deer and DNR (waupaca )

I have had it with the dnr and their ignorance and continuous line of crap. I have hunted my property in waupaca county for 40 years and I am sorry to say that the past several years have been disheartening. I used to count deer all day long from my deerstand. Now I count crows and chickadees or whatever but not deer. The fields used to be full of deer at night when we went shining to show the kids deer but now you rarely see any. All of this earn a buck, T zone, extended seasons and other bullshit they come up with has diminished the herd to a mere fraction of the good old days. Hopefully when diamond Jim Doyle rides off into the sunset of the state he helped to destroy for the businessman he will have deer biologist Warnke next to him. Good riddance. The ignorance and self righteous attitude of the dnr sucks. Maybe they should try listening to the sportsmen, farmers, landowners when they say the deer herd is at a minimum rather than acting like they are the only ones who know anything. And they are supposed to be working for us...the taxpaying, license buying sportsmen. The dnr will not get anymore license money from me and a lot of other disgruntled sportsmen. I have contacted an individual in Missouri and will take my hunting dollars there. The dnr will have their excuses of: too much corn; too warm; hunters in the wrong spots; no earn a buck, cwd bs, foggy this morning, below average fawn crop (hey morons, they don't grow on trees so if you shoot off all the does...guess what? NO FAWNS DUH) and blah, blah, blah. They say they want kids to get involved in hunting. Hey dnr I have news for you. The kids in our group and many others I know have lost interest because they can sit all day and not see a deer. I can't blame them for not wanting to go anymore. Hell; us old timers can't take all the excitement anymore either. Taxes keep going up for this treasured "recreation land" that now has few if any deer. Thanks a lot deer biologist Warnke and his band of bozo's!!!

Rawhide Boys Ranch (New London)

Most of the employees are paid well below market value for simular positions. However, the upper management have it pretty good. According to on-line non-profit websites, Rawhide Executive Director, John Solberg, makes OVER $100,000 in salary and benefits! Not bad for a non-profit Christian organization. He also lives on the Rawhide property with his family, has a luxury company vehicle, and an expense account. I wonder why morale is low for the employees. It is a shame that employees in their early 60's have had their employment with Rawhide terminated. That does not seem very fair nor following Christian principles. I can not and will not give to this organization. It is a shame that Bart Starr does not see what has happened to once an excellent organization.

Don't these dealers think that if craigslist users were looking to purchase from a dealer that they just maybe be smart enough to goggle dealers in the area. I've posted on here before about this and to no avail. I've called the Post Crescent numerous times & complained and nothing happens. I don't even want this stupid paper. What gives them the right to throw something on my lawn, sidewalk, bushes, steps (or wherever it might land) that I don't want and didn't order? If I drove around the city & flung something out of my car window onto people's property I bet I wouldn't get 2 blocks & I'd have a cop pulling me over & giving me a ticket. After approximately half a dozen calls to the Post Crescent over the past couple of years with no result, I finally called the police department just to inquire if there was anything that could be done. People on here said I was nuts bothering the police for something like this. I thought that's what the community service officer was for, but I guess not. I guess they just take down illegally posted rummage sale signs cuz having them attached to a sign or post is illegal & makes the city look bad, but having newspapers strewn all over people's property up & down every street is acceptable. People told me to save the papers & drop them on the Post Crescent's doorstep. Yea, right. I'm gonna save wet, nasty newspapers & then waste my time & gas to drive up to Appleton with them. I'm sure next week the exact same thing will happen. I'm open to ideas. Maybe we should watch for the guy(s) doing this & follow & see where they live. Then during the night throw all the papers they flung out of their window onto their lawn & make them go pick them up. Please post the address on here if anyone knows where these idiots live. I'll be the first one there throwing my papers back at them.

News Record and Bulletin Delivery (Neenah)

Anyone got ideas to get these idiots to stop throwing these papers in the yards??
This is littering and looks like crap all over the neighborhood!!
I did call the person that was suppose to do something about this issue but obviously it did not help.
Again today papers litter our neighborhood!
My idea would be to with hold the carriers pay if the job is not done correctly.

I recently went to Walmart to purchase one of the Universal Wireless cards for $25 as a gift for a friend...I was helping her to get the $ amount added to her phone and was shocked to find out that it wouldnt go thru...I asked the Customer Service Rep who informed me that the carrier my friend had was having problems on their end...I thought ok...I will try another carrier that was also listed on the Universal card...and low and behold I find out...they too were having problems on their end....The company that does the adding of the $ name is FastCard....Its been 3 days now and I just paid $25 for a piece of cardboard...Fastcard will not do anything about the reimbursement of the card and neither will the other companies....FastCard claims that the systems are down till next Wednesday.....My thought....It gives them enough time to pack theiir shit and cut out on all the people who bought these damn cards for $25 on up to $100....Doesnt pay to have cell service....Back to desktop phones and pagers....Oh the 80's were great!!!

U.S. Cellular (Midwest)

I made some big mistakes on my cell phone account last month, and was appalled at my bill. I called U.S. Cellular, and I was amazed at their Customer Service. I spoke with a wonderful woman named Ana, Who was actually in the USA! Without going into detail,They made me very happy. I will forever be a U.S. Cellular customer. Thanks Ana, and thanks U.S. Cellular.

USCC worst than VZW? I hope you have some evidence to back that up. About the only thing that sucks with USCC is that there is no EVDO roaming, and the north/south WI line. Other than that they are a stable carrier.

I had ALTELL for 8 years and honestly had maybe one or two problems during that period. I LOVED Altell in other words. I am NOT happy with the switch but for those customers who are in the SECOND year of their exsisting Altell contract.....VERIZON WILL allow you to cancel early if you wish. They are not advertising that, but it is true. Maybe after the switch is complete, Verizon will be ok. I will give them the benefit of the doubt for now. I know for a fact that there are far worse providers out there than Verizon. U.S. Cellular would be one, as would be Sprint.

Anyone else that was transfered from alltel notice how shitty verizon is? Constant dropped calls and batteries that mysteriously drain faster. You would think these assholes would have updated software for us instead of pissing everyone off. I am not the only user that i talked to with this issue also.

Totaled means that you would get the blue book value if the repairs exceed the blue book value of your vehicle.
You can then agree to take a couple of hundred less than that if you want to keep your vehicle and still drive it or whatever you want to do with it.
This is how it worked for my daughter when she had an accident one time.

Last year some angry wench came on here encouraging everyone to flag all of the personal ads as spam, and since then it's gotten out of hand. Ads don't last for more than an hour in the W4M section in casual encounters - even the real ads.

Rents and raves

Well for starters, R&R is a forum - not a " group". It's a free marketplace of thoughts and ideas where anybody can come to talk about whatever they want. Unfortunately too many people that frequent the forum seem to think that it HAS to operate within their own narrow parameters, and anything outside of that doesn't belong as far as they're concerned. It's no wonder that the use of this forum as a place for well thought out discussions has pretty much become a thing of the past.

As far as the poster looking for garage space, try looking for a storage rental unit that will let you use the space for a shop. I know several people who have set up small businesses working out of these types of rentals - and since the economy isn't doing well, there's lots of empty rental units out there and so owners may be willing to deal. You could probably find a few with heat and electricity.

Has anyone else noticed how un-professional the service advisors come across. You walk in there and they don't even say "May I Help You". They just keep doing whatever it is that they are doing, stop and sit there. They wait for the customer to approach rather than acknowleding the customers presence. The place needs to be upgraded to look decent as well. The Service Manager and Service Advisors should be taught how to be cordial and corteous to customers. They could learn that from ANY Bergstrom dealership. Next spring I will be in the market for a new vehicle and it will probably be a Ford. It will not be purchased from Les Stumpf however.

Those steel cables are barriers to keep an out of control vehicle from crossing the median and into uncomming traffic. There are 2 sections of it that are already torn up, north of Appleton and they have only been up for a few weeks. All the barriers, signs and everything else that is put into roads to make them safer don't do a lot of good as long as there still is stupid drivers on the roads however. So drive safely.

Well, what I have come to the conclusion is this: If you buy and drive a SUV, it apparently comes with a license which allows the driver to drive like a TOTAL DOUCHE BAG. For what ever reason, SUV drivers tend to be the crappiest, most rude, arrogant, ignorant, risk taking drivers on the roads!! I HATE SUVS btw.
As far as using TURN SIGNALS,,,, I swear half the drivers on the road don't even know where the stalk to operate them is located.
And last but not least, speeds on Hwy 41 are starting to creep up to that 80mph range again. Time for the State Patrol to crack down again. Even though there is new blacktop on 41 by Appleton, the higway is still OUTDATED, OVER CAPACITY, and not the kind of highway where people should be driving well over the speed limit. It is a dangerous road and the new blacktop does nothing but make for a smoother ride and thats about it.

They are stringing steel cable between them all. It appears to be a barricade of sorts to keep a vehicle from crossing the median into the wrong lane if someone loses control of their vehicle. I would expect it is a requirement of the state or federal government for Interstate status.

He also cleaned out her chest freezer of over $ 400.00 of groceries she bought the previous week. Mike makes a good living in excess of $ 50,000.00 a year. He could well afford his own food. On Hotels (Fox Valley -- West)

I used to spend significant amounts of time in hotels. I worked for about a half-year at a shop in The People's Democratic Republic of Madistan (Southwest side of Town nearly in Middleton). I spent MO, TU, WE, and TH nights in a hotel. When I was doing that I'ld leave a little something for the cleaning staff when I would check out on FR morning.

How many people have friends who can give an unbiased opinion on a subject matter so severe and delicate that in biblical times, it incurred the death penalty, and even in some countries today. It is difficult to say exactly why someone cheats because every situation is a bit different, but once that moment of transgression occurs, the cheater knows the wrong they committed. What they do not really comprehend is the undescribable hurt the innocent person is left with, combined with the temptous rage arising at any given moment. I feel your pain, and disregard those that continue to live in glass houses. When everything is taken off the table, if love remains, then too, hope. This can be one of the toughest predicaments in one's life, because to forgive someone whom has shattered a wall of trust that had taken years to build requires the strength of a super hero. I worked at a certain hotel in Oshkosh before it was the city center hotel (or whatever they call it now), I cleaned up after some of the nastiest people that obviously had no respect for the room or the cleaning staff, probably figured they paid for it, they can trash it. One guest I will never forget is the large man with a lot of body hair that told me I could clean his room and he proceeded to come out of the bathroom in just a towel and the towel didn't begin to cover his girth, that was when I decided hotel work was not for me, he was a week long guest and his drain was always covered in hair, now I knew why...nasty.
Whenever I stay at a hotel I always make sure all the trash is picked up and placed by the door, and the beds are stripped. I know what a back breaking hassle it is to clean up after slobs so, I try to be as much help as I can.

so what is normal? I have cleaned rooms were people have pissed the bed. Got drunk and covered the walls in the bathroom with everything they ate that day. I have cleaned up the condum packs.Beer cans, Food. So I sit and think. DO THERE HOMES LOOK LIKE THIS? I owned a cleaning co. for 7 years and to be honest it was few and far between when I had to clean a home that was even close to what I have seen in a hotel. As for the first offense, although I think it is left to the discretion of the presiding Judge overall.Most likely you will get no more than an assessment, and you will have to take the drivers safety course provided at your local technical college.At your cost of about 250.00. Plus cost of initial assessment. Of which I don't know the cost.It's highly unlikely you get the breath-alizer installed on the first offense.Unless of course you have a serious history of alcohol abuse.I'm sure prior records, regardless of wear infraction(s) occurred also play a part in the Judges decision.

I would NEVER leave a tip for the waiter . he COULD be rude as hell . he still would get the tip . SOME places the dishwasher gets the tip . not too many places . that why I refuse to tip . I asked at applebees WHO ALL GET THE TIPS when they told me everyone . I was YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING . the rude waiter gets them also ? that right .

You know what, you have a valid point.
I have never left a hotel room in any condition other than what I would consider "normal". I was focused on the state of the room upon check-in, not what it would be like at check-out. I can only imagine what messes you find in some rooms. If I were to ever leave a hotel room in such a way as to cause extra work for the housekeeping staff, then yes, a tip would be appropriate.

I am not tipping the housekeeping staff of a hotel. When I check in, I expect a clean room. No crumbs on the carpet, no hair in the tub, and clean linen. I don't care what kind of mess the last guest left for you, housekeeping is your job. It is your job to ensure that I have a clean room. A clean and comfortable room is the product that your hotel is selling, and that is what I expect and what I am paying for. Having to work extra hard on a room that the last guest left as a complete disaster, is not my problem. You have a tough job that pays rather low...but it still doesn't require a tip.
Besides, a smart manager would rotate his/her housekeeping staff so that they aren't always cleaning the same rooms. Each housekeeper has his/her strengths and weaknesses, and that way each room gets different attention. If I did leave a tip, you may not even be the person to get it.

You know, I'm glad someone else spoke out about Wright Weber Management. The apartment we had was very nice and new, however, we were so unhappy with them that we bought a house to avoid renting ever again. This was when we lived in De Pere, and they seemed nice. We were very honest, and told them we had three cats which they said was fine. Well, after we signed the lease and moved in they came and said we could only have two cats. Then, they came and said there was a mistake with the lease and said I was suppose to be paying more every month, which I learned later is called "the bait and switch". We payed extra every month to have a dishwasher, but when I told the landlord it didn't work and could he fix it, he said no, they were just cheap dishwashers and there was nothing he could do. We lived there for a while, and once or twice got locked out on account that the doors automatically lock, and our land lord told us "no I can't come let you in, you know this isn't my only job." We lived upstairs and there were some squirrels or something living in the attic and so I told the landlord and he said I was just hearing things. Then when we moved out (get this) we spent hours cleaning (including paying to get the carpet cleaned) so everything was actually nicer than when we moved in. They sent me a bill for a few hundred dollars for "cleaning" and cracked blinds, which, because I had actually kept my paperwork, it showed that the blinds were cracked when we got there. I called them and said there must be a mistake because the apartment was spotless, to which they replied, prove it. My advice to everyone out there is to take pictures for proof or better yet don't even rent from them in the first place!

Waitresses get paid better.At least people think to tip them. But Then waitresses don't have to clean the mess you make when that big burger comes back out the end you didn't put it in They don't have to clean a weeks worth of trash out of a room you only stayed in one night. They don't have to pick up the towels from in the tub, or from under the sink counter. And speaking of towels,do people really think makeup comes out? No it does not, so the housekeepers get new rags and the hotel buys new towels. There goes my raise!!!! So next time you stay in a hotel or motel. TIP the person who gets to clean up after you, after all they are not your mommy.

Well for all of you who claim this to be a b.s. story, I wish I could say it was. For all of you bitching because I didn't post how the dinner went the same night I posted my rant, get real! How can you expect me to put craigslist on the top of my "please update" list. My marriage fell apart in a matter of minutes and the farthest thing from my mind was "please make sure to let the craigslist community know how things are going."

As far as how the dinner went, here's a quick run down.

Seth got home at 7:00pm and was acting a bit "odd". He was acting like Tony Soprano had followed him home and that he was in danger. I got the impression that somehow he knew that the gig was up. Come to find out, this dumb bitch who claims she wasn't a home wrecker had managed to get a hold of my husband and tell him that I knew all about their little rendezvous. Needless to say, the dinner was off. Seth didn't really say anything to me until after the kids were sleeping. He then tried to tell me that he had made a huge mistake, blah blah blah and that he couldn't imagine his life without me and the kids. He told me that the stress of work, the new baby and the twins had really gotten to him and he had met this girl through CRAIGSLIST with only the intentions of being friends. It's still unclear how long this whole thing has been going on but for now, Seth is staying in a hotel and I'm thinking. I don't know if I can handle being married to someone who would step out on our marriage like that and support someone who was "just a friend".

One other thing.. For all of you who made comments regarding "out with the old, in with the new" or "he left your fat ass for someone hotter who could suck dick better", I only hope that someday you too experience what I am going through. It's your fat asses that sit on here all day long putting your worthless two cents online in hopes that someone will give a fuck about your pathetic ass. I'll have you know that unlike 99% of the women in this area, I'm actually very attractive. My 5'9, 128lb frame keeps my husband happy everyday (and I just had a baby)!

My Rant, here it is.
Yesterday I went to Walmart for flu meds for my son who has swine flu. Standing back looking for something that will help with the symptoms these nictotine saturated women who just reeked of cigs of course plows in front of me and proceeds to fill her basket full of Actifed. All the while I'm thinking try dropping some Nicorette in there also. We left the aisle till she cleared out as we couldn't stand the smell.
I absolutely hate the cold weather when smokers just refuse to open a window while they fill their lungs with cigarette smoke then go out reeking of it. It is embedded in their clothes and the smell is awful.
I don't have anything against smokers I could care less but for God's sake people open a window!
