Cane Creek Thudbuster ST Seatpost Shock (Brevard) $85

Cane Creek Thudbuster ST 27.2mm x 353mm Seatpost Shock, used but in good condition. I really hate to let this item go, but I need the funds for another project. I guarantee you I will have another one of these by summer. This one has 1.3 inches of travel and is way better than the Thudbuster LT (which felt like riding on a diving board to me).It has been used for about 6 months. As you can see by the pics there are some scuffs from inserting and removing it from the frame. If you look at the last picture you can see that most of the scuffs are below the minimum insert line. this is a 2004 dual suspension Rocky Mountain ETSX-50 frame/fork. it is a 18 ' which at 5'7 is to large for my self. I am including the rear fox floater that has a 3.5'/4'/4.5' adjustable travel. And the frot fork which is a manitou black comp 80-100mm travel. The mtbr review of the bike is below. This bike can go anywhere, do anything, absorb everything, and stop on a dime! I built it myself and didn’t cut any corners. I have well over $6000 into this bike. Truthfully, I haven’t ridden it enough and with a fourth child on the way, it’s got a better shot at collecting dust than being ridden. It is in fantastic shape. I’m sure it has less than 100 miles on it. It truly rides like a cross county bike and a downhill bike all in one. I doubt if you can find another built like this one. I will truly miss it.

Bicycle Tune Up!! (Woodfin) $20

THIS IS RIDING SEASON!! Fall is one of the most beautiful times to be on the bike here in NC - don't let bad gears or brakes keep you off the trails!! I wrenched for many years and even was head mechanic for a RAAM team one year. Now it's just a hobby I do out of my garage. I can do tune ups, for installations, headset installations, bearing and headset rebuilds, etc. The only thing I don't do is true wheels and that's just because I don't have a truing stand. (If you have a stand and would like to trade it for services, I'm all ears!!) I've gotten a lot of inquiries from people as to how this is going and the answer is - -- I probably fix one or two bikes a week, so I'm not getting rich at it by any means. It's just fun meeting people and giving crash-courses on basic bicycle maintaining, or just working on bikes that people drop off with me. Of course, if parts need to be replaced (I do not carry spare or junk parts so they will have to be purchased beforehand), or extra work needs to be done, you will have to pay for them, but a straight tune up is just $20 while you wait!!

Second hand dealers, pawn shops and other business owners have to have high standards for who they buy from and consign for. I had a shop at one time and I got identification from the people who sold me bikes, I even called people that I did business with in California one time to make sure I wasn't dealing in stolen goods. The bike business is a hard business-there will never be a cash for clunkers for bikes, sorry you deal in stolen bikes once, in my opinion you're as bad as the shop Play It Again Sports where I found a friend's stolen bike ten years ago, that shop bought this bike from an individual who only had prison ID! Tell us what you're gonna do mr.smiley's dealer to make sure you never fail again-mebbe failure is ok to you. Right now IMHO it sounds like the warning about you stands.

2007 Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Elite Race-Ready 200 miles! (Hendersonville) $1600

I bought this bike brand new from Sunshine in Greenville in 2008 and have ridden it less than 200 miles. I took it out on DRY days maybe 10 times or so and only one time in the past few months. I just don't have time to ride. It's a size Medium frame, paid $3100 for it new and just put brand new cables on it, new racing saddle, grips, etc. I don't have the pedals for the bike, I gave them to a friend. The frame is the maroon/silver as pictured on Specialized's website. I had 2 bikes, this is the one I only rode on longer rides when it was dry. It is like brand new. It's got the Pro Pedal rear suspension, Fox Talas front, XTR/XT components.........all stock. I am responding to the ad directing a negative response to Bikes sold at Smileys,I am a shop owner at Smileys.
I have only been there for a few months but I see ,sale or buy most bikes at Smileys.I have tried to give the most honest
approach to my business and customers.In this time I have had only 1 instance where I unknowingly bought a stolen bike from someone
selling a bike at the flea market.This was taken care of and the police with my assistance have suspects in this case.Also ,there are other indiviuals and small
business owners who are also selling bikes and other items who shouldn't suffer from someone making assumptions.According to the police they haven't had
problems out there.

I gave the frame to a friend who promptly used it for the same purposes for a few years until recently giving it back to me because he no longer had room for it. And I’m so glad he did, it seems that the older she gets the better she looks. Outfitted with her original components, early eighties Campagnolo Super Record, she never fails to draw attention with her still gleaming black paint and lugged framework. She’s now a classic that rides like a Caddy but has the soul of a thoroughbred - a great quality American crafted bike.

This bike is in good shape. There are some chips in the paint, but overall the finish is fine. I put one new tire on it, but I think it deserves a new set of nice tires. The measurements I got were: 22" from center of hub to where the frame stops/seat post starts; and 22" from center of the vertical tube on the front to center of the vertical tube on the back. I'm not a biker, so if you need more precise measurements or different ones, let me know, I'll try! Honestly, I just don't want to deal with boxing the thing up and shipping it--especially since the highest US bid was $222. Before I put it back on the auction block, I want to see if anybody local can use it. I'm 5'10" and it was just too small for me-- but I still rode it for two years.
