I have a trek 4300, the frame is in great condition the only problem is there is a little rust on the forks, which is why i'm selling this for $150. I'm sure there are simple ways to remove it I just have another bike and might as well sell this one. Giant Cadex Carbon Fiber Mountain Bike X-Large. (East Asheville) $300

For sale is a Giant Cadex CFM 3 carbon fiber mountain bike. This is an extra large frame - 22" from center of crank to top of seat tube - and would be for suitable for someone over 6 feet tall. The bike is in decent shape with a small blemish area on the top tube where the carbon has started to chip away. The frame is still structurally sound and the spot can be mended with bondo or clear epoxy if you wish, or just leave it as is. Up front is a Manitou Magnum fork with 80mm travel. Front wheel is a Mavic and rear wheel is Shimano. Deore XT drivetrain with trigger shifters. The rear shifting is in good shape but the front shifting may need a tuneup or a cable replaced. It still shifts but it sometimes "sticks" as you are trying to shift from the large chainring to the middle one. SPD compatible clipless pedals included as well. This bike is from the mid-90's and was one of the first mountain bikes to use carbon fiber as a frame material. As a result, the carbon tubes are fairly thick compared to today's newer frames. Norco A-Line Park Edition DH bike (Asheville) $2950

This is a 2007 Norco A Line PE frame, with all 2009 or 2010 parts. It was new, old stock from Norco, and I purchased it in 2009 with the frame still wrapped in plastic and bubblewrap from the factory. I then built it up with all new parts, except the crank arms, brake calipers and levers, and chainguide. Please go down and read all of the details about what specifically is used though. The rest of the parts were purchased in October 2009, and have about 3 rides on them. I have done my best to remember every part on the bike, but let me know if you have any questions. But, everything is in EXCELLENT shape, and cared for greatly. Never ridden in the rain, and mechanic owned. Bike would make an awesome downhill race bike, and one that will last you for years. 2005 Schwinn Fastback Roadbike (Asheville) $500

I love this bike, but finally admit he (I named him Sergio) deserves a better rider. I am the only owner, bought it in 2006 from a "last year's models" sale at a Performance store becasue I planned to start racing triathlons...and still haven't. The rear wheel is a little bent from a friend falling on me at a stop light in her clips, and you would want to replace it for better racing performance, but definitely rideable as-is.
It has toe clips (not pictured, but i will put them back on) and all the original components.
I am a 5' 5.5" female, but I really don't think this bike is women's specific.

BICYCLE TUNE UP (Woodfin Bike Guy) $20

THE SUN WILL SHINE AGAIN!! I was at Bent Creek this weekend slogging through mud and snow and ended up turning around early so as not to mess up the trails any further. As I headed back, I saw a guy who looked lost. I stopped and talked to him for a bit and found that he had just bought his bike that day and even though conditions were not exactly ideal, he was STOKED! If you are thinking about riding again after spending years off the bike, don't let bad gears or brakes keep you off the trails!! I wrenched for many years and even was head mechanic for a RAAM team one year. Now it's just a hobby I do out of my garage. I can do tune ups, shock installations, headset installations, bearing rebuilds, and now I can true wheels because I have a stand!! I've gotten a lot of inquiries from people as to how this is going and the answer is - -- I probably fix one or two bikes a week, so I'm not getting rich at it by any means. It's just fun meeting people and giving crash-courses on basic bicycle maintaining, or just working on bikes that people drop off with me. Of course, if parts need to be replaced (I do not carry spare or junk parts so they will have to be purchased beforehand), or extra work needs to be done, you will have to pay for them, but a straight tune up is just $20!!

Powertap 2.4 disk brake MTB wheel (Asheville, NC) $850

Cycleops Powertap 2.4 disk brake MTB hub built on a Stan's 355 29" rim laced with DT double butted spokes. Hub bought in Nov 09, but rim is much newer.
Includes heart rate strap and cadence sensor (direct reads better than hub based cadence sensing). Everything works great.

Independent Fabrications 'Cross Frame and Fork with S&S couplers (downtown) $2200

This is a 2008 IF Planet X cyclocross frame and fork. It has a 55cm effective top tube with a 54cm seat-tube. The frame was designed as a do-it-all kind of 'cross bike that's good for racin', light-touring, and general gravel road use. It has S&S couplers so you can take the frame apart and fit it in a suitcase for air-travel. The paint scheme and colors are completely custom, you'll never see another bike like this one. Vicious Cycles Metal Guru hardtail mountain bike frame (downtown) $600

This is a 2008 Vicious Cycles Metal Guru frame, size Medium. The Metal Guru is VC's top-end hardtail, this is the steel model. This particular frame was Carl's first try on the "Squoval" paint scheme and as such each squoval is hand-masked. This also means that there are many layers of paint for this look. This frame was shipped around to various shows and then shown at the 2007 Interbike show, it was re-painted for this show. So the frame has two, very thick paint jobs. This means that the paint chips pretty easily, see photos. But regardless of that, the paint-job is pretty sweet looking and the frame itself rides awesome. It's made for an 80-100mm fork, disc brake only, 22.5" effective top tube. 26" wheels.
