Event Planner (Asheville, N.C. Area)

Looking for an experienced Event Planner with business management skills to schedule and oversee various events at a newly remolded facility.

The facility is located in a central location of Asheville, Hendersonville & Brevard and plans to open in mid December.

The grounds facility consist of 11 acres including a 5 acre lake. A knoll over looks the lake which can be used for outside events. This upper level of the building facility (5,000 sq. ft. will accomadate up to 250 people for events such as Weddings, Receptions, Corporate Meetings, Seminars, Singings, High School Events (Proms, Class Reunions), Etc. This level of the building includes a gathering area with a large projector screen, portable stage / platform and portable dance floor. Also includes dressing rooms, restrooms, catering kitchen and refreshment stand.

Major responsibilities of this position will consist of scheduling, advertising and promoting pre-planned events, research and pursue scheduling of additional events, monitor and supervise facility set-up for events, monitor the event, maintaining close contact with clients and facility staff to ensure successful events.
Must be self motivated and be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
