Internet/Marketing/Social Media Position: Training Included (Work at Home)

This is a very cool opportunity that can turn into a career for the right person.

I am a business and life coach with a successful on-line company. I need a student, intern, or work-at-home parent to edit and submit content on the Internet to market products and generate Web site traffic.

Training is included.

You must have your own computer and high-speed Internet access.

You need these basic skills to qualify for this exciting position:

• Basic typing and computer skills (Must know Microsoft Office/Word and be able to learn other software quickly)

• Experience browsing the Web and doing online research (Know how to
find solutions and answers online, using Google to find information)

• Good spelling and grammar skills

• Writing and editing skills

• Graphics and design skills highly preferred

Assuming these basic skills are present, you'll gain additional training in all areas
of online marketing using video.

This is a rewarding position for someone who loves to learn, has a passion for details and is nerdy enough to get excited by the thought of Internet marketing and production! :-) It's an opportunity to learn extremely valuable skills that can turn into a career.

Work Location

• Your home or office
• Anticipated 15-30 hours per week initially, growing into full-time
• Access to software systems to submit content is included

ArcGIS expert needed (asheville)

I need help with some aspects of ArcGIS. I have used the program enough to know it has the tools for necessary for my project but not enough to find the tools or use them proficiently. This is an ecology application.
Specifically, I need to:

- convert data from disparate sources to a uniform projection
- create buffers in shape files
- convert shape files to raster
- assign numerical values to qualitative raster data
- perform algebra(?) on this quantitative data to detect optimized locations

I have run out of time to teach myself ArcGIS so I need your help. This should only take a few hours because I know exactly what I need to do and your role is really that of coach.

Things I am willing to trade are:

- money. I’m a broke student, but also in a hurry and willing to negotiate.
- your name as co-author if I publish. If you want to retain this right, no money will be exchanged.
- beer and food. We could meet in a quiet pub to work. I have the ArcGIS student license installed on my lap top.
- fresh eggs and greens. I have chickens and a winter garden.
- tutoring. Biology through graduate level and Chemistry through undergrad.
- organizational work. I’m good at things like bookkeeping, strategic planning, marketing….

I am also open to suggestions. If you are a whiz at ArcGIS, let me know what you need. If I don’t have it, I may be able to find it.

Help with an iMac / ADSL connection (Brevard)

Hi. Here is the situation. I live in Raleigh. My elderly parents live in Brevard. I do my best to provide tech support to them remotely. I want to be able to remotely control their screen to be able to demonstrate things to them when necessary. The iMac they have is running Leopard. I have not been able to get BTMM (Back to my Mac) working for them. I believe that the problem is related to their DSL modem connection. (I know the problem isn't on my end. I also know that their machine isn't the problem because I brought it to Raleigh once and put in on a cable modem in my friends house.) I'm hoping to find someone who lives near Brevard who could help them configure the DSL connection so that BTMM will work for them.
