I found this couch through a "free" craigslist posting, but am moving and no longer need it.
It is a fun, mismatched full sleeper sofa, still very firm and comfortable. No noticeable stains or smells.
You might want to slipcover it, or it would be perfect in a child's playroom.
Also, we have never used the pull-out mattress, not sure if it's in the best condition.
Must haul away yourself, and bring a friend! It is heavy and cumbersome to maneuver through the house.

I am really in a tuff spot this year! 4 Free Tires! (disclaimer: not for highway use) (Asheville)

I have a set of four Falken Ziex-912 tires that didn't last worth a crap on my car, don't ever buy this type of tire or you'll wish they were honest about the warranty and said they were 20k miles instead of 50k.

Anyway, if someone wants them for an art project or something, I need to get them out of my basement. Actually two of them *could* be used on a car for a VERY short period but I do not recommend it because there is not much tread left and with winter coming you'd be sliding all over the road if it snowed. The other two are worn near the edges to the point of no return. Might make nice plant potters or something creative?!

Box Fans for Parts (Downtown Asheville)

Two identical 20" box fans perfect for parts. One has a functioning motor but a blade cut off (don't ask), and the other seems to had a dead motor but ok blades. A bit dusty from normal use, but otherwise the working parts are in good condition. Could potentially switch the good blades to the working motor and get a fully functional fan for minimal labor.

Could be used for art projects, or modern lighting or.....

Free Fireplace Facade. (Weaverville-Asheville)

I have a brick facade used for the front of a fireplace insert. The opening is 36 and 1/2 across by 33 and 1/4 tall. The facade itself is 66 and 1/2 across by 57 tall. This is only a facade. There are no usable bricks or other materials in this thing, and there is no mantle with it. I plan on taking it to the landfill, but my fiance thinks its a shame to waste it and asked me to just post it for a day.

-It's pretty heavy. You'll need a large pickup or a small trailer to haul this thing.

-I need it out of here. You need to get it sometime Saturday afternoon.

-If you can't get it Saturday afternoon, I need some reasonable assurance that you'll get it before Thanksgiving.

Free Tree Cutting (Madison)

NCMMC, North Carolina Mountain Mushroom Co-op is pleased to announce that we will be offering our annual free tree cutting services from Nov-March.

Trees must be standing, live, and either Oak, Cherry, Gum, or Hop-Hornbeam. NCMMC uses these trees to grow mushrooms, mainly Shiitake, and our co-op is in need of approx. 5000 logs about 3-4 foot in length. We prefer to use trees that are going to be cut down and would otherwise be used as firewood or sent to the pulp-mill.

We will not cut anything that is hanging over a house, power-lines, or neighboring properties (unless given specific permission from neighbor).

Gives us a call to see is we can help you. This is not only for individual homeowner, but also large tree farms that need thinning, commercial property developers that need to save a bunch of money and who wish not to waste all those trees that can be used by other local farmers to grow Shiitake Mushrooms.

We will remove all wood larger that 3" and smaller than 20".

We are not insured, but we are very experienced.

We also can help clean up a newly fallen tree if it meets our requirements.

The couch is green and white and needs one pillow sewed back to the back. The pillow helped my back so I left it like it was. I have love seat that is brown with recliners on both sides and is in very good condition and it is brown. The square dining room table is ethan allan table and is in great shape. Cardboard Fabric Holders/Art Project (near downtown Asheville)

I have a collection of cardboard items on which fabric bolts come on. I no longer need them and wish to find someone who might have a need for same. Would be great used as an art project. They are NOT the thin tubes but are the flatter ones that are a few inches thick. Lengths vary, but are the usual fabric size.
I'm easy to locate in the Montford Historic District, near Montford Park.
First to come by gets them.

FREE CAT (Asheville)

Solid white cat. One blue eye, one green eye. Has shots and has been fixed. He has not been de-clawed, but has worn 'soft claws' since he was a kitten. He is strictly an indoor cat. Well behaved. Loves people, but would really like to be THE cat of the house. Definately a lap cat. LOVES to be petted. Do not want to get rid of him, but we are moving to SC and have no choice. (We are SAD.) So he, Casper, MUST go to a LOVING home.

A SMALL DOG HAS WONDER TO MY HOUSE, HE HAS TO BE SOMEONE LOVING PET, I WOULD LOVE TO KEEP HIM BUT I HAVE CATS,THEY DON'T LIKE DOGS.
