Yes, finally... A WOMEN'S BASKETBALL LEAGUE IN ASHEVILLE!!! The registration deadline is approaching quickly, so if you want to play please let me or the rec dept know asap!!!!

The city has opened it's doors to a Women's league this year (in addition to the men's) and the SEASON STARTS SOON! ALL SKILL LEVELS, ages 16+, welcome. Please help SPREAD THE WORD!!! The team registration deadline is at the end of the week, so everyone who wants to play needs to find a team, register, and pay before then. The more players the better, it doesn't matter how long it's been since you last played.

We need as many teams and players as we can get (ALL SKILL LEVELS, ages 16+), so please help SPREAD THE WORD!!! We are especially in need of folks who want to be a team captain/contact person for their team. *You don't need to know enough people to fill a roster to start a team, or anybody for that matter, you just need to be willing to be the primary contact person for that team. We have lots of women that want to play (just waiting for a team), but not enough people actually forming teams at this point.

Women's Therapy Group (Asheville)

Women's therapy group forming, to be led by experienced therapist. This will be a group of women supporting each other in getting through your blocks to reaching your true potential and fulfilling your life purpose. We will discuss relationships, family issues and work and career concerns and goals. As we get to know each other we will process what comes up within the group, as a way of strengthening our relationship skills and building trust and support between us. Day and time of group will be worked out to accommodate the most people possible.

Carol has been in private practice in Vermont for 16 years and recently moved to Asheville. She has led many different groups. Applying to take medicaid and other insurances, but only insurances with out of network benefits can be accepted at this time. Group is $40 per session. Sliding fee available down to $20 for those with limited income. An initial individual session before joining the group is $80. Payment arrangements and/or sliding scale can also apply.
