Family looking for Asheville area home to rent (Asheville area) $850

Family of 5, including 3 boys ages 4, 6, and 8 moving from Port Charlotte, FL to the Asheville area. We also have a black pug named Moya who is house trained ;-)

My wife is about to accept a position at Mission Hospital, and we expect to be moving to the area sometime in December (maybe even early January, depending on the start date). We are looking to rent a home not close enough to downtown to be in a city-type atmosphere, but no more than 20 or so minutes from Mission Hospital. Quite a few people have stated that we should look at West Asheville, though I'm not sure what communities that includes. Since I have some time, I'm going to try and be a little picky. I've done 'some' research on homes that are available in the area, and have a vision of what we want. So let me try and lay it out...

3+ bedrooms (4 would be nice, but 2 of the boys can share).
2+ bathrooms (we will not accept a 1 bathroom house under any circumstances. Small boys plus me OCD = separate bathrooms, LOL.
Land. I've seen some houses available that have really nice pieces of property. Having boys, and a small dog, it would be great to be in a low traffic area with room to run.
Away from busy hwy or major city street. Again, kids...
Must have at least hookups for washer/dryer. We have our own, so the machines are not needed.
Storage of some type (garage, storage shed out back, basement...
We may consider a double wide trailer, but not a single wide. If it's a trailer, I think it may depend on the property.
No apartments, townhouses, or duplexes. Only single family homes.
Safety. We really want an area not known for high crime, if there are any??? Guess I should do some more research...
Really looking for something less than 850 per month. My wife is the only one working. I'm a stay at home dad, focusing on the boys.

Now, for the things we'd like, but are not necessarily deal breakers...

Fireplace, garden area, fenced in back yard, hardwood floors or tile in most of house, did I mention fireplace? Maybe a deck out back for cookouts? A nice little stream on the property would be great. I'm an avid reader, and I dream of sitting next to a noisy stream and reading away the hours on a cool afternoon. Also, elevation. I know the area is up and down, but high preference is given to higher than "Asheville proper" elevation. Geez, what else? We have an AMAZING landlord here in Florida. We have never paid late, and he's always been there if something goes wrong. It's not a 3rd party, he owns many houses in the area and takes care of everything either by himself, or via his handy man. We have a really great relationship, the kind that, if we didn't hate Florida so much, we would stick with for as long as we were renters.

A little about us: As I said, my wife is in the medical field, and will be the only one working. I'm a stay at home dad who spends many hours a day with my boys reading and helping with homework. We attempt to enjoy an outside lifestyle, but it's kind of hard when it's 90 degrees 9 months out of the year. Our boys are energetic, but very well behaved. We consistently get compliments when out on the town. We honeymooned, and then vacationed in western NC and found ourselves feeling like we leave a part of ourselves behind whenever we come home. We are coming to stay. We do not bring the attitude many in your area consider from "Floridiots", LOL. We are quiet, outdoor loving, hiking people who want to acclimate to the area, not attempt to force the area to acclimate to us. We are very easy going, and hope to make many good friendships. We also are very excited to start gardening, and hope to grow a bunch of our own food organically.

So, I've kind of gone overboard here, but I wanted any possible landlord to understand us a little and know a bit of what you'd be getting into. We are not looking for a 3 month lease. We will sign no less than a 1 year lease. We hope that anyone we deal with will respect our desire to feel safe in our home, after only a year and a half ago, having the house we were renting be foreclosed on without any notice by the owner. It was an experience we hope to never live through again.

So thank you very much for your time, and if possible, please reply via email with the specifics of your property, and pictures please, and a number where we may contact you for more information. We have never moved like this before, having to secure a rental 800 miles away before actually packing up and leaving. My husband and I just got married about a week ago, and we currently living in a home for $950/month. We have paid our rent on time, each month, and have never had a returned check. We are respectful and quiet and keep our home clean and in good shape! Right now, we do have three animals (all under 30 pounds), but we are just fostering one (due to a family member's death). They are ALL house broken and are not destructive.

Since we do have pets and love nature, we are looking more at the land, than the actual house. We are very open to older cottages on land, as long as everything works and we were both raised in trailers, so those are great, too! One bedroom would be fine, as long as we have a yard. It doesn't have to be fenced in, because we could always do that for you at a later time, if you prefer.

We both work full time, and my husband receives monthly benefits. We make enough money to get by at our current home ($950/month in rent alone, and we pay all of our power, water, gas, and phone/cable/internet), but we really want to start saving up money to start our own family. Since we just paid for our own wedding, we don't have money to put down right now. However, on December 1st, we could pay $950/month, until all deposits/pet fees were taken care of. We just have had a hard time paying for this home, bills, wedding, and then another home/deposit would be impossible.

We are looking to move in next week, if possible! As long as we give 2 weeks notice, we won't have to pay $950 on December 1st. I professionally clean homes, so I could clean a home, if you've had a tenant just move out. I also babysit full time, and we could work something out, as far as the deposit is concerned.

Hello! We're recent college grads ages 21/24, looking for awesome roommates to share a house/apartment. We will be relocating to Asheville from Ohio around New Year's.
