I need to file for child support (asheville)

I have never applied for court ordered child support. I wanted but my ex had made comments like, "I will hide money so I do not have to pay you as much," " You will not get as much as I give you," and "I will move to Mexico so I do not have to pay anything," "I will not work as much or for less so I dont have to pay as much"

I am not one of those women that take more then is needed, but I do need support for my kids. He was paying 450.00 for 2 kids, now he is paying 300.00 for 2 kids. He never comes to visit the kids anymore and he lives in the same city.

I always thought I could trust him to make sure his kids were ok financially but its getting worst and worst as time goes by. I wish I would have handled this with a lawyer before.

He says he is making $9hr working as a cook in Asheville and can not see his kids because he is working many double shifts.
