RE: Re:re. re. re its a coming
Yea, it's coming alright.
The fact that the right-wing, con-job-servative ideology is nothing more than a fantasy invented in people's minds.
Oh I can't wait for the glorious day these dumbasses are enlightened, possibly on their deathbed. When they find out everything they've believed in is totally WRONG!
Re:Re: Boring story
Looks like I struck a nerve by referencing the noble Native Americans. I'm sorry all of your historical cowboys were illiterate drunken hicks who fucked each other instead of tending to their cattle, but the truth is the truth. Try not to be so sensitive about it.
re. re boring story
Hey Ignorant Prick, you are the dumbest politically correct liberal conservative i have ever heard. I AM A CONSERVATIVE, I AM 95% American Indian, I am independently wealthy, And it wasn't through cannibalistic means, or by "polluting the land". You talk about facts, get the FACTS straight, just because some indians were cannibals doesn't mean jack shit. Some white people were cannibals and some white people pollute the earth, (GASP OMG). Guess what I was raised by a white stepfather. You my friend need to keep your mouth closed until something "educated" can come out! THANKS!
re:boring story
Many of the Indians were brutal savages, even cannibals! The New Columbia Encyclopedia reported on some Northwest tribes like the Kwakiutl: “They had a highly classified society with chiefs, nobles, commoners, and slaves….This distinctive culture, which included cannibalistic rituals, was not greatly affected by European influences until after the late 18th century….” Yes, some Indians kept slaves and ate them during hard times! Wonder why you weren’t taught that in public schools? How about that they traded their women for horses and trinkets? You are supposed to feel guilty for being white, middle class, and Protestant (or Baptist) especially relating to what we have done to the land since taking it from the “noble savage.” But was the Indian so careful with the environment? The Columbia Encyclopedia tells about the Choctaws: “…They hunted with bow and arrow and blowgun, caught fish by poisoning streams….” Yes, friends and neighbors, the “noble savage” was often a polluter. Sorry about that.Need I remind you that merely living on the land does not confirm ownership? The Indians had lived here for hundreds of years but were still living in crude homes; eating and warming themselves over an open fire; and letting their old people die alone without help. They had access to all the gold, silver, iron, water, trees, etc., that the white man had, yet it was the white man who built the greatest, most advanced society in the world. If that sounds like racism, so be it. It is also factual. Most Liberals don’t like facts; they like fantasy or faith in old, discredited theories that informed people discarded years ago.

Wow, I really struck a nerve by supporting Obama. It seems so easy to rile you up. All I have to do is think about how good a job Obama is doing, and your nerve is struck, on the spot.
I think I struck your nerve so fiercely that you couldn't even really respond to my previous post. You've been so struck in the nerves that you're incapable of anything except inane babbling.
I'm sorry your hero Glenn Beck has not been able to successfully foment the civil war you so desperately want, but don't take it out on me just because you're so high strung.
"Simply, this man named obama, proved that he is not fit to be president. He is inept, inexperienced and in way over his head. Add to this, his glaring Narcisism, and you have the disaster we currently have in the white house, trying to act like a President.

What a boring story
Do cowboys ever do anything except be stereotypical stoicists? Probably not.
Anyway, the cowboys barely killed any Indians. More like "New Settlers With Crazy Fucking Diseases Vs. Indians" and then later "United States Government vs. Indians". More Cowboys were probably killed by Indians than the other way around.
Don't let that spoil your romantic vision of our brutal and continual treatment of an entire people, though.

Yes it is!!!!! Listen to Thunderclap Newman's song: "There's Something In The Air" circa 1969.....also, Eric Burdon & The Animals: "Sky Pilot" and Jefferson Airplane's..."Got To Have A Revolution"...I have 6 of the top 10 military weapons of the world.....I am ready; so is my network of fellow combat veterans nationwide......are you? re: It's a coming (great story)
This makes alot of sense.
It's a-coming (Asheville, NC)
Three strangers strike up a conversation in the passenger lounge in Bozeman, Montana while waiting for their respective flights.
One is an American Indian passing through from Lame Deer, another is a Cowboy on his way to Billings for a livestock show and the third passenger is a fundamentalist Arab student, newly arrived at Montana State University from the Middle East .
Their discussion drifts to their diverse cultures. Soon, the two Westerners learn that the Arab is a devout, radical Muslim and the conversation falls into an uneasy lull.
The cowboy leans back in his chair, crosses his boots on a magazine table, tips his big sweat-stained hat forward over his face, and lights a cigarette. The wind outside is blowing tumbleweeds around, and the old windsock is flapping; but still no plane comes.
Finally, the American Indian clears his throat and softly he speaks, 'At one time here... my people were many... but sadly, now we are few.'
The Muslim student raises an eyebrow and leans forward, 'Once my people were few,' he sneers, 'and now we are many. Why do you suppose that is?'
The cowboy removes his cigarette from his mouth and from the darkness beneath his Stetson says in a smooth drawl . . . 'I reckon that's 'cause we ain't played Cowboys and Muslims yet, But I do believe it's a-comin'.'

I'm confused as to how this is the worst decision made by a U.S. President, when Obama has proven that he is not a U.S. President(I'm also confused as to how he did that, but I'm trying not to delve to far into your brainwave patterns, lest I lose the ability to come back to full cognizance.
I don't think I'll ever understand the cognitive dissonance in Conservatives who insists that God exists, and are of course in full favor of the inalienable rights that we have Declared were "endowed by our Creator" to all men, and thus not granted but simply recorded by our Constitution. But somehow, through their sheer, unbridled arrogance, also believe that America copyrighted these rights upon writing the Constitution, and by doing so assured that nobody else in the world may have them.
American Exceptionalism is destroying this country ten times as fast as you think Obama is.

We encourage you to read the provisions of the Cap and Trade Bill that has passed the House of Representatives and being considered by the Senate. We are ready to join the next march on Washington ! This Congress and whoever on their staffs that write this junk are truly out to destroy the middle class of the USA ....
A License required for your house...no longer just for cars and mobile homes....
Thinking about selling your house - A look at H.R. 2454 (Cap and trade bill) This is unbelievable!
Only the beginning from this administration! Home owners take note & tell your friends and relatives who are home owners!
Beginning 1 year after enactment of the Cap and Trade Act, you won't be able to sell your home unless you retrofit it to comply with the energy and water efficiency standards of this Act. H.R. 2454, the "Cap & Trade" bill passed by the House of Representatives, if also passed by the Senate, will be the largest tax increase any of us has ever experienced. The Congressional Budget Office (supposedly non-partisan) estimates that in just a few years the average cost to every family of four will be $6,800 per year. No one is excluded. However, once the lower classes feel the pinch in their wallets, you can be sure these voters get a tax refund (even if they pay no taxes at all) to offset this new cost. Thus, you Mr. and Mrs. Middle Class America will have to pay even more since additional tax dollars will be needed to bail out everyone else.
But wait. This awful bill (that no one in Congress has actually read) has many more surprises in it. Probably the worst one is this: A year from now you won't be able to sell your house. Yes, you read that right. The caveat is (there always is a caveat) that if you have enough money to make required major upgrades to your home, then you can sell it. But, if not, then forget it. Even pre-fabricated homes ("mobile homes") are included. In effect, this bill prevents you from selling your home without the permission of the EPA administrator. To get this permission, you will have to have the energy efficiency of your home measured. Then the government will tell you what your new energy efficiency requirement is and you will be forced to make modifications to your home under the retrofit provisions of this Act to comply with the new energy and water efficiency requirements. Then you will have to get your home measured again and get a license (called a "label" in the Act) that must be posted on your property to show what your efficiency rating is; sort of like the Energy Star efficiency rating label on your refrigerator or air conditioner. If you don't get a high enough rating, you can't sell. And, the EPA administrator is authorized to raise the standards every year, even above the automatic energy efficiency increases built into the Act. The EPA administrator, appointed by the President, will run the Cap & Trade program (AKA the "American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009") and is authorized to make any future changes to the regulations and standards he alone determines to be in the government's best interest. Requirements are set low initially so the bill will pass Congress; then the Administrator can set much tougher new standards every year.
The Act itself contains annual required increases in energy efficiency for private and commercial residences and buildings. However, the EPA administrator can set higher standards at any time. Sect. 202 Building Retrofit Program mandates a national retrofit program to increase the energy efficiency of all existing homes across America . Beginning 1 year after enactment of the Act, you won't be able to sell your home unless you retrofit it to comply with the energy and water efficiency standards of this Act. You had better sell soon, because the standards will be raised each year and will be really hard (i.e., ex$pen$ive) to meet in a few years. Oh, goody! The Act allows the government to give you a grant of several thousand dollars to comply with the retrofit program requirements IF you meet certain energy efficiency levels. But, wait, the State can set additional requirements on who qualifies to receive the grants. You should expect requirements such as "can't have an income of more than $50K per year", "home selling price can't be more than $125K", or anything else to target the upper middle class (and that's YOU) and prevent them from qualifying for the grants. Most of us won't get a dime and will have to pay the entire cost of the retrofit out of our own pockets. More transfer of wealth, more "change you can believe in." Sect. 204 Building Energy Performance Labeling Program establishes a labeling program that for each individual residence will identify the achieved energy efficiency performance for "at least 90 percent of the residential market within 5 years after the date of the enactment of this Act."
This means that within 5 years 90% of all residential homes in the U.S. must be measured and labeled. The EPA administrator will get $50M each year to enforce the labeling program. The Secretary of the Department of Energy will get an additional $20M each year to help enforce the labeling program. Some of this money will, of course, be spent on coming up with tougher standards each year..
Oh, the label will be like a license for your car. You will be required to post the label in a conspicuous location in your home and will not be allowed to sell your home without having this label. And, just like your car license, you will probably be required to get a new label every so often - maybe every year. But, the government estimates the cost of measuring the energy efficiency of your home should only cost about $200 each time. Remember what they said about the auto smog inspections when they first started: that in California it would only cost $15. That was when the program started. Now the cost is about $50 for the inspection and certificate; a 333% increase. Expect the same from the home labeling program. Sect. 304 Greater Energy Efficiency in Building Codes establishes new energy efficiency guidelines for the National Building Code and mandates at 304(d) that 1 year after enactment of this Act, all state and local jurisdictions must adopt the National Building Code energy efficiency provisions or must obtain a certification from the federal government that their state and/or local codes have been brought into full compliance with the National Building Code energy efficiency standards.

Re:18 ways to be a good conservative.
Look,! You're trying to defend a hopeless position. this man, obama, really blew it, and showed how badly inept he is with the decision about trying the 9/11 prisoners of an illegal war in our Civilian coutrts in NYC. These prisoners don't even get rights under Geneva Convention, yet obama wants to give them the same rights as citizens of our country, in our civilian courts. How pathetic can this buffoon, they call obama, be?
Face up, the cloak is off the statue now - you made a big error in judgment in voting for this obama. he is not president or presidential material. He's just apiece of shit who gave good speeches and fooled a bunch of people. You being one (of many).
The family and direct victims of 9/11 survivors are planning a march on Washington to protest this decision. Any rational person in our country is up in arms.
This decision is like a filter - separating out anybody who is just blindly supporting this man obama. Who ever supports obama on this one is a true idiot.
This particular issue just plain black and white. obama just proved he is not a president. Worst decision made by any president in US History. That is his new mantra!

I don't know. You Republicans aren't that good at that impeachment stuff. Remember when you tried to impeach that one guy for having an affair and lying about it, and then as it turned out a whole bunch of other Republicans had also had affairs and lied about it, and then the whole country got really bored with the whole thing and nothing happened?
Are we going to find a bunch of Republicans also bringing enemy combatants on to American soil to be tried in the Judicial System months from now? It certainly wouldn't surprise me. All of them will probably have been born in Kenya, too.
"Struck a Nerve" (Asheville)
To the one repeatedly trying to use this phrase to ridicule the person who posted the challenge to their original challenge of the original 18 ways: You are way off base. I didn't respond to your little taunt while you went out and did whatever. (How nice.) I didn't need to respond to it. You proved to everyone how you just don't get it. Now, you're showing your ignorance even more by using the phrase "struck a nerve" derisively and redundantly and to people that didn't have anything to do with posting that phrase. It's embarrassing. My original use of it meant that, obviously, by posting your overkill of a response (several screens long), you were quite disturbed about someone challenging your erratic thinking. Now you try to turn around and call the kettle "black" and accuse everyone else of doing exactly what you, yourself did in the first place. I believe that, indeed, something really "struck a nerve" with you and you are frantically desperate to defend yourself. This is the last you'll hear from me on this because I'm simply right and you're hopelessly wrong.

You are right. I should be excited. This decision is actually the end for obama. it's his downfall..
But the fact that I knew 2 people killed in the WTC - both of whom had families. And that I saw and heard so much of what happened that day in NYC, makes me furious that obama would make such decision.
It just clinched the situation - obama is not a president - he is just an inexperienced man in the office and way over his head.
He will be gone soon enough, but there is going to be many years of bad times in his wake.

Whoa, guy. I guess that must have struck a nerve or something! Calm down, and just realize that you're wrong.

There is only 1 reason for the Obama people to make such an announcement - they want to be seen as heroes for this trial. This is being being done, this way just for the self interest of this asshole named obama. This guy is no president.
If you try and support this guy obama at this point, then you are just a stupid fool. And you clearly don't care about our country. "
double standard?
why was it okay to try zacharias mousawi in u.s. court and not the gitmo scum? why did the majority of americans support that trial but no conservatives support this one? methinks it's only to try and harm the current administration. the only thing being harmed by doing that is america.

These are not US Citizens, These are War Criminals captured outside of our country after committing an act of War on our country.
We don’t need secrecy. We do need to try these War Criminals in the correct venue. A US civilian court is not the correct venue. No question about that. These War Criminals will be given the same rights in a civilian court as any US citizen. Have you even considered what happens if they are acquitted? They walk out of the US Federal Court into NYC - free men, protected by our laws and basically given all the rights of being US Citizens. The decision by Obama is so amazingly wrong on so many levels.
You can not realistically defend this decision by Obama – this is the worst decision ever made by a US President in the history of our country.
OK, we get it - you voted for him so you feel you need to defend Obama. Look! it is now apparent the man is not presidential material – he is in way over his head.
Obama is just a man – he is no president. The cloak was lifted last Friday
Seriously, we now have to look at treason. Obama has made a decision in his own self interest and is not acting in the best interest of our country.
This situation is very black and white, suddenly as of last Friday. The Democrats screwed up big time and have screwed our country. It's done with, there is no argument on this one. There's always an excuse or an argument - but 'fraid not on this one.

"You know what? After Friday's announcement by Eric Holder that they are going to try the 9/11 terrorists, held in Guantanamo, in New York City, in Civilian courts, there is little to no argument you have. "
Little to no arguement? Are you saying that we can't convict terrorists in an honest open courtroom setting? That we have to hide behind secrecy? In a democracy you don't need smoke and mirrors like Bush had. If you check you will find that NYC has a 100% CONVICTION rate on processing terrorist suspects. Obama is showing the world that it can be done and it will be done...the RIGHT way! In OPEN court...not in a hidden courtroom, hidden from view.
the right way to deal with terrorists (everywhere)
place against wall and shoot threw head. done!
Re: re: re: 18 ways to be a good conservative (Asheville)
There's one major problem with your point. The U.S.A. happens to be a "Constitutional Republic" and not a "Democracy". Our court system is for United States citizens who break or have issues with the law, not for war criminals. One country cannot make citizens of another country keep laws that are not their own. That makes absolutely no sense.
What specific "law" have these terrorist broken? Should we have a trial every time a soldier confronts an enemy to make sure they're really guilty?

If you voted for this fool named Obama, then you are part of the damage being done to our country. This guy is so over his head, it's just amazing. And people are actually following this fool, blindly. I take it you are one of these blind followers.

Five Things the U.S. Can Learn from China
The U.S. may be one of the world's oldest capitalist countries and China one of the youngest, but you couldn't blame Obama if he leaned over to Hu at some point and asked, "What are you guys doing right?"
Could the world's lone but weary superpower actually learn something from China ? It's a politically incorrect question, of course. China is an authoritarian nation; its ruling Communist Party deals ruthlessly with any challenge to its hegemony. It remains, relatively speaking, a poor, developing country with huge problems to confront, massive corruption and environmental degradation being Nos. 1 and 1a. Still, this is a moment of humility for the U.S. , and China is doing some important things right.
What's this?
No response?! I'm shocked. I went out and had fun today too, guys. It was a beautiful day, and Beaver Lake was exceptionally nice to just wander around. But now it's dark and you should be home responding to my well thought out posts.
Oh, unless I struck a nerve with you, and you're just too speechless to respond. That seems like a very likely possibility!

Oh, Conservatives...
"Striking a nerve" is the only response Conservatives have when people rebut them. Every single time, it's the same thing response.
Trust one of them to ask me to answer their charges without resorting to ugly tactics, and then triumphantly claim that they were right all along when I do.
Another great way to be a Conservative: Let someone else do the legwork required to make a list of lies, ask a liberal to do more legwork in order to prove them wrong, and then don't offer any evidence of your own when they do that. I thought you guys were the smart and hard workers. I guess that must be a lie too.
Re: Sure, I'll humor you... (Asheville)
Wow! Thank God we heard from the Liberal Authority on this! We can know for certain now that those original 18 statements are absolutely dead on. Thanks for making everything crystal clear. In response to #18: If it's "garbage", as you say, why did you spend so much time and effort on your response? It obviously struck a nerve somewhere.
Sure, I'll humor you
It's not actually humor, you just think it's funny because you have no sense of it. Some truth? Yes, there's some truth in a lot of lies, to make them more believable. But here, I'll correct you:
1) You have a nice false dichotomy there, but the conservative corollary is much better: Conservatives are for Capital Punishment, but also Pro-life.
In any case, Liberals don't support abortion on demand. Liberals demand free access to abortions. Liberals support comprehensive sex education, amongst other things, in order to prevent unwanted pregnancies. Oddly enough, Liberals support reducing abortions on the supply-side, while Conservatives support reducing them on the demand-side. One of which lowers abortion rates, and ensures happier and healthier citizens, while the other one doesn't really lower abortion rates, and just makes Pro-life people who get abortions go to Europe to get their abortions, when they can afford it, and leaves others to scrape out their baby with a coat hanger, leaving them susceptible to infection.
2) "The goal of a lot of liberal policymaking is the balance corporate power with governmental power—allowing both to be trimmed and molded into something more functional and humane in the process. The point isn't a Federal takeover of our lives. The point is to balance these forces to the point where most of us will be left the fuck alone." This is a quote I found recently which almost perfectly describes Liberals ideal government design. Like a lot of your list, you'd be hard-pressed to find a liberal who has said anything like what you assert.
3) The word arms covers nuclear weapons. I could say that Conservatives believe that every American has the right to bear Nuclear Weapons, based on their obsession with the second amendment. But no, this is completely wrong. You'd be hard pressed to find more than a few liberals out of a thousand who believe that guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens are a significant threat to the country. Of course, the treason that many have been proposing is hardly abiding by any law, but that's immaterial. A majority of liberals want to get rid of nuclear weapon technology, especially in the hands of countries that might use them. And hopefully, one day, to remove them from the hands of the only country with a proven track record of using them.
Liberals vary all over the map on gun control. There is no standard, and there has never been. Inasmuch as it is a liberal belief to heavily legislate firearms, it is to prevent crime and mentally ill people from using them, nothing else.
4) Do you believe art was never federally funded before liberals? This is an outright lie.
5) Like the human body, the temperature of the earth goes through very regular temperature and weather patterns. There is no cause for concern for the climate changing unless it appears to be changing in a way unprecedented by these very regular cycles. Which it does appear to be doing. I don't know what about this is so difficult to understand. Many people die from the Flu, a temperature change that does not follow the standard human cycle.
Also, conservatives believe there will be fossil fuels forever and ever. You do believe this, right? Otherwise you wouldn't be so fantastically opposed to renewable energy.
6) This is actually completely true. Considering that there is empirical proof for both, I fail to see your point. Unless you believe that pink is the color for girls in all cultures, and boys don't wear skirts in any other nation. Or maybe you agree with the President of Iran, that his country does not have the "phenomenon" of homosexuality. Because, you know, it's punishable by stoning there. I don't see why anyone would choose to be gay in such an environment. Do you think there are no gay people there?
7) Nope. Federal funding could help prevent it though. Keep in mind that the Compassionate Conservative movement supported sending $15 million dollars in federal funds to Africa to help prevent HIV, not Liberalism. And they distributed that money to organizations that told people the only way to prevent HIV was to stop having sex. Such compassion.
8) I have no idea what this is about. Liberals don't have a Fourth Grade Teacher platform that they run on. Sex education is only taught in schools because somewhere along the line, people realized that nobody was talking to their kids about sex, and they were all fantastically misinformed about it. Of course, by nobody, I mean the Puritanical Conservatives who believe that telling kids to wait until marriage is enough information to get them through puberty.
9) Ah, PETA, a wonderful representation of liberal thinking, much like the KKK is a wonderful representation of Conservative thinking. Nevertheless, I doubt many hunters truly care about nature, just like I doubt there are many PETA members who are not outrageous assholes who who I want nothing to do with. In the future, you should also reference ELF as a radical left-wing organization who represents all liberals everywhere. They're a terrorist group!
10) You should have really shortened your list so you didn't have to reach so far. But of course, this one clearly indicates you didn't write this list yourself, you just found it somewhere else. I can only guess this is in reference to schoolchildren getting ribbons for participation, even when they can't play baseball, and other such things. There's nothing liberal about this. It's just a response to whiny ineffective parents, who exist across the entire political spectrum.
11) What? Did he lose money on that investment? Also, liberals don't deny that crazy people really do believe in crazy things.
12) Did the Conservatives stop believing the opposite of this while I wasn't paying attention? Again, liberals vary widely on gun issues, and you won't find very many in favor of repealing the second amendment. That doesn't mean that consistently omitting half of the amendment is necessarily a good way to present your case. The NRA also has the added responsibility of moderating its tone so as not to incite violent passions, something the ACLU does not often have to concern itself with. Critics of the NRA say they don't take up their responsibility.
13) Liberals don't believe taxes are too low. Liberals believe are current tax structure is regressive, and unfairly puts the burden on the lower class. ATM fees? No, I don't remember those ever being an issue.
14) Is this a feminist thing? Yes, many people are important historical figures. Yes, many of them are even women. No, I don't know anyone who thinks that those three women are more important than those three men. I don't know what your point is; that women do not affect history as much as men do?
15) Both are racist, and most liberals will admit that. The former has a tendency to skew results against minorities, while the latter has a tendency to work the other way. Are you in favor of getting rid of standardized testing? That's a liberal value!
16) Socialism has worked in every first world country, including ours. Do you remember that time Capitalism failed, right here in the Capitalist Capitol of the world? That's when we became a Socialist nation.
17) This is almost true, except it leaves out the whole "on government property" bit at the end. Yes, Free Speech includes Pride parades, and yes, having religious paraphernalia on government property does violate the Establishment Clause. The War on Christmas was started by conservative Christians, by the way.
18) Considering that it's a list that is on email forwards and conservative websites everywhere, I don't know how you wouldn't consider it vast and right-wing. Conspiracy might be a stretch, but then, you wouldn't find a liberal ever labeling this garbage part of the conspiracy.
You got one right! That's more than I expected, honestly! Of course, it wasn't really helpful you your argument, any more than if you had said "Liberals believe the sun rises every morning", but still, it's something to be proud of.
1 compared to 18 (Asheville)
Yeah, the post offering only one way to be a Conservative seemed to be a little too sensitive about the 18 ways to be a Liberal. The response was correct in asking exactly what about those 18 things is not true? Care to step up and enlighten us without name-calling and derisiveness?
Or, another way to be a great conservative (USSA)
Acknowledge that the USA has become the USSA, with a power mongering dictator trying to take us over...
Acknowledge that the Democrat 'party' has nearly RUINED this once great country by dividing us mercilessly...
Acknowledge that America was NEVER meant to be controlled by only 2 such EVIL forces known as democrats and republicans.
Acknowledge that each must be OUTLAWED if we are to pull out of this control. Demopublicans are the PROBLEM, NOT the solution. ABOLISH their
ablity to operate, and mandate that all candidates for elected office must be UNaffiliated to ANY political party! Work to rid NC of the awful ballot access laws
for anyone who does not support either evil force of democrat/republican...the level of dominance by the democrats in NC has overtaxed us and forced us into
more needless government SLAVERY! TAKE BACK YOUR COUNTRY ! ! !

Make ridiculous lists of straw man arguments, outright lies, and completely off the wall factoids of liberals, and use it as evidence that you are right about everything. Re: Re: Conservatives Sense of Humor
Yes, please do go on. Please go on with citing sources that prove, or even evidence your claim. "Presents himself as a Savior"? Nope, only those who have always hated him without justification have done that. "Selectively ignores the Constitution"? You've never read the Constitution, aside from one half of one amendment that you think is more important than anything else. And Obama hasn't touched that one. Socialist Paranoia? We've been moving towards socialism for 80 years now, and you don't complain about anyone else doing their part in that progression. Nor do you complain about socialized services you use and respect, like the police or the military.
And no, it's not a generalization. I've yet to see evidence of one conservative with a sense of humor, and I've looked everywhere. It's nearly so sweeping as you suggesting indirectly that anyone who doesn't hate Obama is "blindly accepting and supporting every initiative from this president and congress."
Well?
re: Conservatives' sense of humor
I am a moderate Conservative and these days I see very little to be humorous about. Our president presents himself as a "saviour" even as he selectively ignores our constitution, turns the US into a Socialist nation (this may take a little while, but it is certainly moving in that direction), increases the national debt and continuing deficit by trillions, plays "peace" with tyrants and despots, seeks to marginalize a news organization that focuses on his missteps (that verges on tyrany)... shall I go on?
There is no humor in blindly accepting and supporting every initiative from this president and congress.
Also, the writer of the original post is a "master" (perhaps "mistress"?) of generalization. Surely there must be some Conservatives that have a sense of humor, as well as some Democrats who do not?

Try again...
Cash For Clunkers...Do The Math (Arden)
The Cash for Clunkers scam explained & guess what's next?
Ya Gotta love this one
Just another example of the government trying to “HELP” us!!
Don't ya just love it when a plan comes together?
The Scam
Regarding the Cash for Clunkers Program
Just look at how the gullable Cash for Clunkers victims got taken to the cleaners:
If you traded in a clunker worth $3,500, you got $4,500 off for an apparent "savings" of $1,000.
However, you will have to pay taxes on this $4,500 of “income” next April 15th (something no auto dealer told you). If you are in the 30% tax bracket, you will have to pay a whopping $1,350 on that $4,500!
So, rather than save $1,000, you’ve actually paid an extra $350 to the feds. In addition, you most likely traded in a car that was already paid for. Now you have 4 or 5 years of payments on a car that you may not have needed, and costing you more per month than the averaged fuel, maintenance and upkeep you were dealing with while driving your ‘clunker’.
But wait; it gets even worse: You also got ripped off by the dealer. For example, every dealer here in LA was selling the Ford Focus with all the goodies, including A/C, auto transmission, power windows, etc for $12,500 the month before the "Cash for Clunkers" program started.
Then, when the "Cash for Clunkers" came along, they stopped discounting the cars’ retail price and instead sold them at the full list price of $15,500. So, you paid $3,000 more than you would have the month before... (Honda, Toyota , and Kia played the same list price game that Ford and Chevy did).
So let's do the final tally here:
You traded in a car worth: $3,500
You got a discount of: $4,500
---------
Net so far +$1,000
But you have to pay: $1,350 in taxes on the $4,500 (if in the 30% tax bracket)
---------
Net so far: -$350
And you paid: $3,000more than the car was selling for the month before
----------
Net -$3,350 (loss)
We could also add in the additional taxes (sales tax, state tax, etc.) on the extra $3,000 that you paid for the car, along with the 5 years of interest on the car loan, but let's just stop here.
So who actually made out on the deal?
- The feds collected taxes on the car along with your increased income tax on the $4,500 they "gave" you.
- The car dealers made an extra $3,000 or more on every car they sold along with the kickbacks from the manufacturers and the loan companies.
- The manufacturers got to dump lots of cars they could not give away the month before.
And the poor, stupid consumer. . . got saddled with even more debt that they cannot afford.
Obama and his band of merry men convinced Joe consumer that he was getting $4,500 in "free" money from the "government" when in fact, Joe was giving away his $3,500 car and paying an additional $3,350 for the privilege. The greenhouse gas to build and operate the new car equals the operation of the older car for many years.
Think this was stupid for those who were crazy enough to swallow this wonderful scheme?
Just wait until we get health care with no additional costs over what most of us now pay for health insurance and the best medical care in the world. Think that scheme might be designed by the same people who came up with Cash for Clunkers?

re: Conservative humor is a joke (Asheville)
These days we need to laugh at Obama, his gang, and the Democrats. It's better than pointing out the many bad and dangerous things these people are doing, right now.
I blame Obama for the 13 deaths at Fort Hood. This is top down management - and Obama has changed the culture of our Army to allow this kind of thing to happen. I place the deaths from this guy Hassan squarely on Obama and the Democrats for creating the atmosphere, where our Army is now afraid to stop these guys. I saw an interview with a General Casey. He basically says the Army was aware of this guy, but did not act on it - because of the need to be politically correct.
Its not a joke, when your boy Obama is an actual Murderer!

Conservatives are incapable of laughing at themselves, and so we can easily deduce that they have absolutely no sense of humor whatsoever. As evidence of this truism, I present to you several failed attempts by conservatives to piggyback on the success of great, consistent liberal satire such as The Daily Show and The Colbert Report, and even The Onion. I also would like to point out that the most successful of these conservative train wrecks is Red Eye, and is shown at 3 AM to a sparse and unwilling audience, and is unknown virtually everyone else.

Actually, she wasn't spot on at all, considering the fact that she thinks the first half of the twentieth century has had more of an effect on current foreign policy and diplomacy than the last half. But I wouldn't expect you to notice that, even though it was in the first few paragraphs. After all, directly after agreeing the letter could use a rewrite( I assume you mean an editor, but whatever), you jumble up your own grammar and spelling to the point where I don't even know what you're trying to say.
You see idiots, correcting your grammar and your spelling isn't just about me being an elitist jerk, who actually spent time learning how the rules, and expects the common courtesy that if one asserts his or her own intelligence, they will also follow the rules; It's about effectively communicating whatever garbage it is you want to spew forth. I literally cannot understand what your point is, because you don't bother to communicate well. Stop being sniveling grade school children, and learn how to conjugate your god damned verbs.

Mr. Obama:
I have had it with you and your administration,
sir.. Your conduct on your recent trip overseas has convinced me that
you are not an adequate representative of the United States of America
collectively or of me personally.
You are so obsessed with appeasing the Europeans
and the Muslim world that you have abdicated the responsibilities of the
President of the United States of America . You are responsible to the
citizens of the United States . You are not responsible to the
peoples of any other country on earth..
I personally resent that you go around the world
apologizing for the United States telling Europeans that we are
arrogant and do not care about their status in the world. Sir, what do
you think the First World War and the Second World War were all about if
not the consideration of the peoples of Europe ? Are you brain dead?
What do you think the Marshall Plan was all about? Do you not
understand or know the history of the 20th century?
Where do you get off telling a Muslim country that
the United States does not consider itself a Christian country? Have
you not read the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution of the
United States ? This country was founded on Judeo-Christian ethics and
the principles governing this country, at least until you came along,
come directly from this heritage. Do you not understand this?
Your bowing to the king of Saudi Arabia is an
affront to all Americans. Our President does not bow down to anyone,
let alone the king of Saudi Arabia . You didn't show Great Britain ,
our best and one of our oldest allies, the respect they deserve yet you
bow down to the king of Saudi Arabia . How dare you, sir! How dare
you!
You can't find the time to visit the graves of our
greatest generation because you don't want to offend the Germans but
make time to visit a mosque in Turkey . You offended our dead and every
veteran when you give the Germans more respect than the people who saved
the German people from themselves. What's the matter with you? I am
convinced that you and the members of your administration have the
historical and intellectual depth of a mud puddle and should be ashamed
of yourselves, all of you.
You are so self-righteously offended by the big
bankers and the American automobile manufacturers yet do nothing about
the real thieves in this situation, Mr. Dodd, Mr. Frank, Franklin
Raines, Jamie Gorelic, the Fannie Mae bonuses, and the Freddie Mac
bonuses. What do you intend to do about them? Anything? I seriously
doubt it.
What about the U..S.. House members passing out
$9.1 million in bonuses to their staff members on top of the $2.5
million in automatic pay raises that lawmakers gave themselves? I
understand the average House aide got a 17% bonus. I took a 5% cut in
my pay to save jobs with my employer. You haven't said anything about
that. Who authorized that? I surely didn't!
Executives at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will be
receiving $210 million in bonuses over an eighteen-month period, that's
$45 million more than the AIG bonuses. In fact, Fannie and Freddie
executives have already been awarded $51 million not a bad take. Who
authorized that and why haven't you expressed your outrage at this group
who are largely responsible for the economic mess we have right now?
I resent that you take me and my fellow citizens
as brain-dead and not caring about what you idiots do. We are watching
what you are doing and we are getting increasingly fed up with all of
you.
I also want you to know that I personally find
just about everything you do and say to be offensive to every one of my
sensibilities. I promise you that I will work tirelessly to see that
you do not get a chance to spend two terms destroying my beautiful
country.
Sincerely,
Every real American

Re: The Dow (Asheville)
You raise good points. Unemployment is a lagging indicator of the economy. The Dow has risen. The problem is the Dow rose due to extreme cost cutting by large public companies.
There is a big BUT. Extreme cost cutting is mostly lay-offs. Normally the economy should be expanding by now, but it is not. Companies are not increasing revenues, resulting in increasing profits. Instead all they have done is cut costs. We are going into a scary economic time.
And I will now say it is Obama’s fault. Initially Bush screwed up – no doubt, but things were salvageable. But Obama has done everything wrong. He is doing absolutely nothing to get small and medium sized business up and running. The Credit markets are still shut down. Business is seeing massive tax increases coming, and add to that the impending inflation due to the recent massive spending and printing of money to finance this spending. Obama has undercut our business world in a big way.
We have just enjoyed the best times we will see for a while.
The Dow bottomed in early March – employment should be growing 6 months later, but there is no sign of that, at all. Unemployment is still soaring. The Government is one of the few places hiring. That runs counter intuitive to what we need to do. We need to be shrinking government spending and shrinking taxes to get business going, so they’ll hire people.
The economics we are looking at are scary. And this is all on Obama. I have had economics courses at the graduate level at an Ivy League school, so I know what I’m talking about.
If you got a job – hang on to it at all costs. If you are unemployed, work very hard at getting yourself a job, now. Things are probably going to get worse.
The stimulus $ was totally blown as we might have anticipated. NC has been a big culprit at blowing stimulus money.
And yes – Obama is literally responsible for the loss of several million jobs.
What get’s me is he is such a great speaker. Why didn’t he use his skill for doing good? Last Feb and March he could have used his speaking and charisma to get everybody energized and moving forward into a solid recovery. Instead he worked extremely hard at undermining our economy and putting us into the dark, bleak hole we find ourselves looking up from today.

I notice nobody talks about the Dow now that it's recovered and somewhat stabilized. I also notice how nobody noticed that in almost every other depression, Unemployment rates take a few more months to recover after the economy begins to turn around. I also notice that people think Obama stole jobs from millions of Americans without mention of any other factors, such as a nose diving economy during a previous administration. It's comforting to know that if I ever drive a bus off a cliff, I can just tell someone else they're in charge, and half the bus will immediately blame that guy for us hurtling towards the ground.

Official Disclosure Of Extraterrestrial Life Emminent (Arden)
Official disclosure of extraterrestrial life is imminent
October 21, 12:27 AMHonolulu Exopolitics Examiner
Michael Salla, Ph.D
=============================================
President Obama chairs UN Security Council. Seated next to UN General Secretary Ban Ki-Moon.
APAn official announcement by the Obama administration disclosing the reality of extraterrestrial life is imminent. For several months, senior administration officials have been quietly deliberating behind closed doors how much to disclose to the world about extraterrestrial life. Dissatisfaction among powerful institutions such as the U.S. Navy over the decades-long secrecy policy has given a boost to efforts to disclose the reality of extraterrestrial life and technology.
The impending disclosure announcement follows upon the secret implementation of a year long openness policy on UFOs and extraterrestrial life. Over the period February 12-14, 2008, the United Nations held closed doors discussions where approximately 30 nations secretly agreed on a new openness policy on UFOs and extraterrestrial life in 2009. The openness policy was implemented but never publicly announced due to threats against UN diplomats not to disclose details of the secret agreement. h The secret UN agreement was based on two conditions. First, UFOs would continue to appear around the world; and second, the openness policy would not lead to social unrest in liberal democracies. Both conditions have been satisfied making it possible for the next stage to begin – official disclosure of extraterrestrial life.
Obama’s September 24, 2009 chairing of the UN Security Council meeting on nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament, signaled his emerging leadership role in tackling major global issues such as nuclear weapons. The Nobel Peace Prize was an important step in giving global legitimacy to President Obama in making an extraterrestrial disclosure announcement. Obama is therefore poised to play a prominent role in the increased global governance that will be necessary after an extraterrestrial disclosure announcement. The timing would most likely coincide sometime soon after his Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech on December 10, 2009 in Oslo, Norway.
There have been various sources that have revealed deliberations are underway to make an announcement concerning the existence of extraterrestrial life by the end of 2009. These include, Dr Pete Peterson, a whistleblower who has recently emerged revealing high level discussions have taken place concerning announcing the existence of extraterrestrial life. In a Project Camelot interview, Dr Peterson revealed that “Obama is planning to disclose the reality of ET contact by the end of the year; and that most, but not all, of the ET visitors are friendly.”
Another source is David Wilcock, a prominent researcher of emerging scientific paradigms. Wilcock has been told by additional independent sources that extraterrestrial disclosure will take place by the end of 2009. He furthermore claimed in a Coast to Coast AM radio interview that “a 2-hour international TV special has already been booked that will introduce an alien species, similar to humans, to the world.”
In addition, popular NASA and space researcher, Richard Hoagland, has publicly come forward to reveal that the October 9, LCROSS ‘bombing’ mission of the moon, discovered an ancient base at the moon’s South Pole. Reviewing the scientific data achieved by NASA’s LCROSS mission, Hoagland concluded, also on the popular late night Coast to Coast AM radio show, that “LCROSS is part of a carefully constructed campaign to prepare the populace for imminent disclosure. The President of the United States will soon announce that scientists have discovered ruins on the moon, he added. Nobody saw the LCROSS debris plume because the probes struck a building which swallowed the effects of the explosion.”
Finally, two independent and confidential sources have revealed to me that face to face meetings have recently occurred between U.S. military officials with one or more groups of extraterrestrial visitors. This has allegedly led to confidence being built for future cooperation with the extraterrestrials that will be formally announced to the world public either at the end of 2009, or early 2010.
In conclusion, a diverse number of sources and events point to some form of extraterrestrial disclosure being made by the end of 2009, or early 2010. Official disclosure will most likely emerge in either of two scenarios. One is that President Obama will announce the existence of extraterrestrial visitors, and describe one or more of these to the world. This scenario is supported by Peterson, Wilcock, and my own confidential sources. The second scenario is that an announcement will be made concerning the discovery of artificial structures at the moon’s South Pole, as revealed by the LCROSS mission. This scenario is supported by Hoagland.
Which ever of the above scenarios is used for announcing the existence of extraterrestrial life or technology, President Obama will figure prominently. Behind the scenes, powerful institutions are ensuring that nothing derails the planned disclosure announcement. The disclosure will follow upon a year of greater government openness on UFOs in accord with a policy secretly developed at the United Nations. If extraterrestrial disclosure does occur at the end of 2009 or early 2010, President Obama will lead an unprecedented effort to promote global governance through the United Nations. The Obama administration and its supporters are poised to take a bold step forward in helping our planet become an interplanetary culture that openly deals with the challenges posed by extraterrestrial life.

More babies died from SIDS, and he didn't respond to that.
Stopping a disease is next to impossible. Freedoms would have to be curtailed to Iranian levels to even begin.
Obama has in fact responded to Swine Flu, and people have accused him of overstepping his bounds.
You cannot name a single thing that Obama should have done to prevent some 150 babies from dying over the course of six months. You don't have a fucking clue over how to deal with Swine Flu.

Re:H1N1
Let's also not forget the rightists voting down funding earlier to fight it. Those same people that refused to fund the fight are now slamming Obama for not doing anything. Excuse me? How could any more have been done after the denial of funds? Idiots and hypocrites.
Not aggressively pursuing public option for healthcare
Hey dipshit, it's Congress's job to pass healthcare. Obama is a pragmatic politician. The public option is an incredibly difficult peice of legislation, and Obama doesn't want to put all his chips on the table so early in the game. You may think this is wrong, but only the most retarded fucking mouthbreathers didn't realize that Obama is not a risk taker way before the election. You've already admitted how fucking dumb you are, but are you really this fucking dumb? Of course you are!

re: Be grateful (Asheville)
Are you on Ass Pills? Obama was thinking he had some kind of mandate to do all the crap he is doing. Last night, the Corzine loss in NJ, just showed him , he does not have a mandate to make all these changes he is proposing. NJ is highly Democratic. Obama was there campaigning for Corzine 5 times. Working taxpayers in this country are mad as heck and not going to take it anymore. That is what is evident from last night. I suspected there is some kind of backlash coming, but the vote in NJ was an eye opener to me. Obama is done. Democrats who are supporting the Obama programs or even Reid and Pelosi programs are done. Even Congressman Shuler had better be watching his votes more closely. He voted in favor of that House Cap and Trade bill. He voted in favor of the Economic Stimulus which has been a total waste of money - totally mis-managed and a huge debt for our country for many years to come - with not positive affect and certainly not used as planned.
Obama is acting in support of just 30% or so of the country. He is not working to help our total country. He does not have the mandate from all the voters to do all these policy changes and social engineering he is attempting to do.
Frankly Obama is less than useless - he has been inept at best and dangerous at worst. He has not prioritized the issues to solve our countries real problems. Hell, he can't even make a needed decision regarding Afghanistan. In that case either pull out and accept the consequences or go with the recommendations of the General for the war and deploy more troops in surge style. It's simple make a fucking decision.
And the economy? How can you come up with all sorts of taxes and policies to undermine small and medium business, then expect that these same business will expand?
Obama is beyond failure - he is actually damaging our country and we'll be living and suffering with these actions for a good 10 years or more
And now we know! No the majority of our population does not agree or support these actions by Obama.

Anyone who voted for Obama and thinks that he's already failed miserably must have thought that Obama was someone else entirely. Plenty of Obama voters are disappointed in regards to some issues. Not one of them thinks that he's completely fucking worthless. Not unless they thought that by electing Obama, babies would cease to die entirely, and rainbows and unicorns would replace the unemployed.
So, if you are just an insipid, brainless, decaying waste of flesh, I apologize sincerely for accusing you of lying. Kindly go kill yourself before you contaminate the Gene pool further.
Isn't it a little early (for all this vitriol?)
The sign of a reasonable discourse is the refusal of both parties to resort to name calling with a willingness to focus on the core issue in hopes that a common understanding may be achieved. Most posters on this site sound like pissed of school-kids, not empathetic adults.
Re: Be grateful... (Asheville)
Oh, yes. We are ALL so grateful that you give everyone a "benefit of a doubt". Or what? You'll put together some high-browed sounding insults?
What a joke! Why should anyone care? Of course, this is the sort of intimidation one uses when one has no legitimate point. If there was any legitimacy to your point, you wouldn't need the pointless insults.
I'm still shaking because I'm sooooo grateful that you gave the benefit of a doubt.

Daniel Webster Quote (Arden)
I was born an American. I live as an American; I shall die an American; and I intend to perform the duties incumbent upon me in that character to the end of my career. I mean to do this with absolute disregard to personal consequences. What are the personal consequences?
What is the individual man with all the good or evil that may betide him, in comparison with the good and evil which may befall a great country, and in the midst of great transactions which concern that country's fate? Let the consequences be what they will, I am careless, No man can suffer too much, and no man can fall too soon, if he suffer or if he fall, in the defense of the liberties and Constitution of his country.

OBITUARY-- USA Born: July 4, 1776 - Died: NOV. 4, 2008
Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law, St. Paul , Minnesota , points out some interesting facts concerning last November's Presidential election:
Number of States won by: Democrats: 19 Republicans: 29
Square miles of land won by: Democrats: 580,000 Republicans: 2,427,000
Population of counties won by: Democrats: 127 million Republicans: 143 million
Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Democrats: 13.2 Republicans: 2.1
Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory Republicans won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.
Democrat territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low income tenements and living off various forms of government welfare...."
Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.
If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegals and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.
sorry for idiots
I did vote for him-he was my second choice after Richardson. Obama is nothing but another clintonreaganbushhoover do nothing president. On this craigslist post I'm suggesting maybe Biden could actually get something good done-Obama hasn't-he does not lead on a public option and has completely failed to lead against H1N1-if the president does not lead on a threat with months of advance notice can he be that much better than a president who went on vacation after his August 6 memo?
How many American kids will die before you "change" your love for this ineffective loser democrat? Give up hope-take up agency.

miserable failure
President Obama fits this description. He wants Americans to believe in government run healthcare when he appears unable to mobilize the forces necessary to prevent the deaths of 119 children from H1N1! This pandemic appeared in Mexico City many months ago now-there has been time to mobilize resources to prevent these deaths. Maybe he'll call out the press corps and have them photo him at a child's funeral. I own my shame for voting for this constitutional scholar. Way to go, smart guy!
Lautenberg Gun Ban (Arden)
Alert: 75% Of America Rejects
Lautenberg Gun Ban
Rasmussen Poll Says A Majority of Democrats and Repulicans Believe The Constitution Guarantees The Right To Own A Gun.
Only days after the U.S. Supreme Court agreed to hear a challenge to one of the nation's most egregious gun laws, a new Rasmussen poll shows waning support for stricter gun laws.
Among Americans polled, 75% said the Constitution guaranteed the right to own a gun. The percentage of "yes" answers was higher among Republicans (92%) and lower among Democrats (64%). Among others, 71% answered yes. And, 57% of those polled cited fear of increased government restrictions as the reason for a spike in gun sales.
Gun Hater Lautenberg Proposes "Extraordinary Powers" Be Given To the U.S. Attorney General To Limit Gun Sales.
Obama and the White House are looking the other way as Lautenberg seeks to ban guns from 1,000,000 US citizens on a secret FBI terrorist watch list. Obama has deliberately and repeatedly lied to America's 90 million gun owners across the country when he insisted that he would not try to take away anyone's firearms. Now Obama's silence endorses Lautenberg's latest attempt at banning guns.
Lautenberg has now been introduced bill S.1317 that would give the attorney general the discretion to block gun sales to people on terror watch lists. We must defeat this bill from giving extraordinary powers to limit gun sales to the Attorney General.

Lautenberg To Reveal Names on Secret List
The names of the people on the watch list are secret, and Lautenberg said he was frustrated by the F.B.I.'s refusal to disclose to investigators details and specific cases of gun purchases beyond the aggregate data.
Gun hater Lautenberg requested the gun grab study from the Government Accountability Office. He is using statistics, compiled in the report that is scheduled for public release next week to invade US citizen's privacy and put more restrictions on the Second Amendment.
Lautenberg said he wanted a better understanding of who is being allowed to buy guns.
How you ask? Trial by innuendo and misinformation that has put 1,000,000 Americans and maybe even you on a terrorist watch list without your knowledge by saying: people placed on this government's terrorist watch list can be stopped from getting on a plane or getting a visa, and will also be stopped from buying a gun.
Lautenberg wants gun purchases stopped for just being on the list. Current law states federal officials must find some other disqualification of a would-be gun buyer, like being a felon, an illegal alien or a drug addict.
Is your name on the list and can you get it removed?
The government's consolidated watch list, used to identify people suspected of links to terrorists, has grown to more than one million names since the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. It also has drawn widespread criticism over the prevalence of mistaken identities and unclear links to terrorism.
A CNN story raises questions about mistaken identities on the list - James Robinson is a retired Air National Guard brigadier general and a commercial pilot for a major airline who flies passenger planes around the country.
James Robinson is a retired brigadier general and a commercial pilot. His name is on the terrorist "watch list."
He has even been certified by the Transportation Security Administration to carry a weapon into the cockpit as part of the government's defense program should a terrorist try to commandeer a plane.
But there's one problem: James Robinson, the pilot, has difficulty even getting to his plane because his name is on the government's terrorist "watch list."
That means he can't use an airport kiosk to check in; he can't do it online; he can't do it curbside. Instead, like thousands of Americans whose names match a name or alias used by a suspected terrorist on the list, he must go to the ticket counter and have an agent verify that he is James Robinson, the pilot, and not James Robinson, the terrorist.
"Shocking's a good word; frustrating," Robinson -- the pilot -- said. "I'm carrying a weapon, flying a multimillion-dollar jet with passengers, but I'm still screened as, you know, on the terrorist watch list."

History Repeating Itself?
The 1938 German Weapons Act, the precursor of the current weapons law, superseded the 1928 law. As under the 1928 law, citizens were required to have a permit to carry a firearm and a separate permit to acquire a firearm. Furthermore, the law restricted ownership of firearms to "...persons whose trustworthiness is not in question and who can show a need for a (gun) permit."
Lautenberg Must be Stopped
Recently Sens. Frank R. Lautenberg (D-NJ), Jack Reed (D-RI) and Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) have joined Paul Helmke, President of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence and victims and family members of the Virginia Tech tragedy, to introduce legislation to eliminate the private transfers of firearms and close the nation's "gun show loophole."
This Senate bill is in the Judiciary Committee, chaired by anti-gun liberal Democrat Leahy. Lautenberg's gun hate is well documented and he says you are irrational if you support private gun sales.
"There is no rational reason to oppose closing the loophole. The reason it's still not closed is simple: the continuing power of the special interest gun lobby in Washington" Sen. Lautenberg said ignoring the Constitution.

Lautenberg and the Gun Grabbers in the Senate are now tying to use the GAO to justify putting Americans on a secret gun ban list.
LAUTENBERG'S MOTIVES
Motives for his latest gun ban to are twofold:
First, he is taking small steps to enact gun control legislation this is just one step.
Second, eradicate the gun culture altogether.
All that seems to be on the minds of the Anti-Gun Senators and at the offices of gun control extremists is figuring out how to invade your privacy to erode and eventually destroy the right, and the means, of self-defense.
Now the Anti-Gun Coalitions are trying to use a self supporting GAO study to destroy the right of all Americans to keep and bear arms to protect themselves under the law. They are attacking and hiding behind an Anti-Terrorist Agenda while getting political and financial support from:
George Soros a Hungarian-born billionaire bank rolling efforts with his check book and spending more that $100 million to destroy the Constitution.
Sen. Dianne Feinstein (CA) admitted that "guns would be banned and confiscated" if she could have her way.
The United Nations actively pushes globalism seeking to disarm all Americans.
We must Stop the Anti-Gun Coalition and get ready for the biggest gun control fight of the year from coast to coast. We can not do that without your support.
Stand up against this attack! Stand up for the right to not only defend yourself, but to defend your family, your children, your friends, and your classmates!
