Hunting Partner

I just moved to Athens, and love to play tennis. I'm not super-competitive or anything, and am down for playing with people of pretty much any skill level. I just love the game, love working on improving my own game, love the workout, and just enjoy everything about it. I consider myself a good-beginner, though depending on your skill level you may agree or disagree. By what I read on some websites, I guess I'd rank myself around a 3.0, if that helps you at all, although I haven't ever actually been ranked so I don't know how accurate that assessment is.

Seeking male platonic dancing partner in the Athens area to have fun and improve skills. Over age 21, no upper limit. I am middle aged. Skill level doesn’t matter, but must have a good sense of rhythm and average physical capabilities that do not prevent you from social dancing. Must be willing to pay your share of private and group lessons and personal costs associated with attending dances. Not interested in theatrical or aerial style moves, but just in developing great social dancing skills. Must have decent casual clothes, good grooming habits and be interested in dance at the social level, with an eye towards developing skills to the performance or exhibition level within small comfortable venues. When attending dances, will dance approximately ¼ of dances with partner and then will be free to dance with others. If you are on the shy side, having a partner willing to work with you is a great safe way to improve skills. Social dancing prevents depression, builds community and brings a smile to your face. Between Atlanta, Lawrenceville, Duluth and Athens it is possible to find a dance almost any night of the week. I have two great dance instructors in Athens, a husband/wife team, who can give us superior personal attention as a dance couple.
