Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.Must have a working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.

Fanello Industries in Lavonia, GA is currently conducting a search for an experienced Press Associate to join their team. Position hours are 7:00AM-3:30PM, Monday- Friday. Pay is based on experience and capabilities. Preferred candidates will have experience working within the metal stamping industry and/or had exposure to stamping presses in their previous employment. Minimum Qualifications
2 years manufacturing experience in the production capacity, experience with a production stamping press environment is preferred. (250-1600 ton press)
Experience measuring tolerances using micrometers, calipers and tape measures
Forklift Experience
General proficiency with computer applications
Strong mechanical background
High School Diploma or GED Preferred

General Responsibilities
Assists in all die setting activities. This includes setting the proper shut height and verifying with a tape measure. Understands die set alignment and ram adjustments
Bolting the die to the bolster and ram, removing crash block caps if needed and perform checks verify proper shut height
Assist the Press Technician with the loading of coils on the arbor, straightner and feeder of the press line
Obtaining needed fixtures, pallets and other tools necessary to begin production
Stack parts off the press line and/or assist with hand transfer jobs

Forklift Responsibilities
Required to have forklift experience to be able to assist in the tear down and set up of production jobs. This includes moving stacking tables and other heavy ancillary equipment such as scrap tubs and conveyors.
Act as a backup to the Production Material Handler and remove finished goods and/or WIP from the workstation to the banding area or storage.
Empty scrap tub and replace with an empty as required.

Quality Responsibilities
Responsible for assisting with quality inspection and checks of parts.
Must be able to use a tape measure, micrometer and calipers to verify critical dimensions.
Must be able to read and understand the Operating Measurement Sheet to ensure quality as well as all Quality Alerts

As part of the selection process, a skills examination (welding two pieces of steel, turning a small part in lathe, reviewing blueprints etc.) will be given.

Responsibilities:
Design and building production tooling for fabricated parts as well as making fabricated parts for production assemblies. Forms sheet metal parts using CNC press brakes, shears, notchers and presses.
Performs fabrication from blue prints, detailed instruction, visual descriptions or sketches. Reads and understands blue prints, sketches, drawings, verbal descriptions and sample parts and is able to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished parts, the sequence of operations, and set up requirements.
Set up and run manual mills, lathes, drill presses and grinding equipment to perform turning, facing, boring, chamfering, drilling, grooving, reaming, tapping and slotting.
