Fish tank, stand, and cichlid (Watkinsville)

I am moving cross country and need to sell my fish tank, stand, and fish. Everything pictured goes. I also have a vacuum hose not pictured, but obviously well used. Comes with the extras you see: new gravel vacuum cleaner, new aquarium gang valve, new 25' airline tubing, extra working Aqua-Culture air pump, Penn-Plex auto feeder, Wardley Ick Away and Chlor Out, New Life Spectrum Thera + A pellets for Large and Jumbo fish, and a book about cichlids. The pellets were about $20 per container, and they are each about half full. The fish seems to prefer flakes, which are cheaper, but they eat a variety of stuff. He is a 2-3 inch Jack Dempsey cichlid. They are relatively aggressive, so if you want anything else in the tank other than sucker fish, you'll need to upgrade the size of the tank. The seal on my bigger tank started leaking, so I put everything into this one. I think it is a 20 gallon? The top doesn't fit right, but the heater, filter, and air stones on and in it plus the extras all go with this deal. I will clean it up and remove most of the water for pickup. Need the money and think $40 is more than fair for all the extras and the stand. Needs some TLC. This little fishy needs a home! Leaving Sunday...

2 ADULT BEARDED DRAGONS w/ SET UP (Eastside Athens)

I have 2 adult bearded dragons, both 4 years old. One is a large sandy colored male, one is a bright yellow/orange female. They have been succesfully bred and produced 19 live babies that I hatched in an incubator and sold last spring. They come with a 40 gallon herp tank, a large rock, 2 light set-ups, 1 UVB bulb, a LARGE outdoor cage for sunning outside in the warm season.

I love Spikey and Suki very much. They are used to getting outdoors in the warm season in their large outdoor enclosure. They are used to fresh greens (turnip) daily and live crickets and mealworms several times a week. They should be bathed several times a week. They are both in excellent health and have never had to go to the vet.

$200 rehoming fee for all. They will need a new heat bulb to go in the light set-up. I just don't have the time to take care of them anymore. They would make an awesome Christmas present. Both are very slow moving and very kid friendly as long as your child is sensitive to animals. My daughter is 11 and my son is 6 and they have really enjoyed them.

The tank does have a large crack in the bottom, but we have successfully moved it without a problem several times. If you are interested in the incubator, it is only 1.5 years old and available separately for $75.

I am offering a beautiful pair of Pin-Tail Wydah's. This is a rare and exotic breed and very hard to find in Georgia. I have never had any problems with their health. They are approx. 2 years old. The male is in full plumage. I have a new grandchild on the way and I no longer have the time or space for them. These birds will attract attention. Below are some facts about the Whydah.

The Pin-tailed Whydah, Vidua macroura, is a small songbird. It is a resident breeding bird in most of Africa south of the Sahara Desert.

This whydah is found in many open habitats including open woodland, scrub and cultivation.

It is a brood parasite which lays its eggs in the nests of estrildid finches, especially waxbills. Unlike the Common Cuckoo, it does not destroy the host's eggs. Typically, 2-4 eggs are added to those already present. The eggs of both the host and the firefinch are white, although the whydah's are slightly larger. The nestling whydahs mimic the gape pattern of the fledglings of the host species.



Vidua macroura - male with breeding plumage

The Pin-tailed Whydah is 12-13 cm in length, although the breeding male's tail adds another 20cm to this. The adult male has a black back and crown, and a very long black tail. The wings are dark brown with white patches, and the underparts and the head, apart from the crown, are white. The bill is bright red.

The female and non-breeding male have streaked brown upperparts, whitish underparts with buff flanks, and a buff and black face pattern. They lack the long tail extension, but retain the red bill. Immature birds are like the female but plainer and with a greyish bill.

The male Pin-tailed Whydah is territorial, and one male often has several females in his small group. He has an elaborate courtship flight display, which includes hovering over the female to display his tail. The song is given from a high perch, and consists of rapid squeaking and churring. The diet of this species consists of seeds and grain

She just turned a year old in November so she won't get any bigger. She weighs around 12 pounds (guessing). She is a mixture of Maltese/Yorkie/Bichon. Pointer male DOG for FREE (Athens, GA)

I recently lost my job and can no longer afford both of my dogs. I have a male Canadian Pointer Mix (a little bit of Whippet). He is 1 year and 7 months old and weighs 37 pounds. He is neutered and is current on all shots as well flea treatment and heartworm meds (takes every month). He also recently had his teeth cleaned in August. He is a great dog and it really breaks my heart to be giving him away. He is white with a black spots. He is house trained and does well with other dogs. He is very shy at first but definitely warms up to people after being around them for a few minutes.

I have a Jackson chameleon and a breeding pair of veiled chameleons. Each of them has a large screen cage (2ft x 2ft x 4ft) two lamps etc (ZooMed power sun). The total value is more than $1000. The female veiled chameleon laid eggs twice. They are currently incubating and would need a home too (5 month incubation, can hatch any time). All three are colorful healthy and strong.

FOUND black cat (Snapfinger Drive area)

A solid black, long haired cat has been living in the River Grove Parkway/Snapfinger Drive area for a few weeks now. The cat is very friendly and gentle, he has clearly been given a great deal of attention in the past, definitely not a wild cat. He has taken up residence around our town houses, we have been feeding him and trying to look out for him while we give his previous owners a chance to try and find him. If no one claims him we will have to try and find him a good home before winter really sets in and it gets too cold for him to be outside. Judging by his friendliness we think that he was probably someone's indoor cat. If he is yours please let me know soon.

Have about 10 lbs prepackaged and unopened Eukanuba Puppy Dry Food expires 4/10 I think, and I have coupons for about 30 lbs of Purina One Dry and Purina Pro Plan combined, I think the coupons expire 4/10 also. You just have to pay the tax on the bag, which is usually under $1. I usually go to the pet store over on Baxter St. next to Kroeger. My dogs don't eat dry food anymore. This is all I have left, the rest of the Iams I donated to my church, because I didn't have any takers. They may have some left though, if anyone needs it. I also have some $8 off Iams coupons, that I think go til sometime next yr., and a few $2 off Eukanuba Dry coupons.
