Black Windmill the Dracula: This is a classic terror film of the Transylvanian vampire performing his malevolent spell on puzzled group of exotic dancers. Lugosi’s most renowned role with his definitive explanation of the Tally, ditto Frye as loony Renfield and Van Sloan as unflappable Professor Van Helsing. Cast includes Bela Lugosi, David Behaviors, Helen Chandler, Dwight Frye, Edward Van Sloan, Herbert Bunston, and Frances Dade. (75 minutes,’31)

Rocky Balboa: Rocky, now a 6O-ish widower and restaurant owner, who’s disassociated from his business yuppie son (Ventimiglia), plans to re-enter the ring one last time to battle the present Heavyweight Champ. Not as poor as it may have been, even though it strains credibility; contrived, to be certain, although additionally curiously admiring. A number of ESPN-type Television identities appear as themselves. Cast includes Sylvester Stallone, Burt Youthful, Milo Ventimiglia, Geraldine Hughes, James Francis Kelly Sick, Tony Burton, A. J. Benza, Henry G. Sanders, and Antonio Tarver. (102 minutes, 2006)

The Fourth Protocol: An excellent thriller adjusted by Frederick Forsyth from his most popular novel. Caine plays a British agent who’s designated to foil a Russian plot that could obliterate relationships between the U.S. and England by setting off an atomic bomb near an American air base in the U.K. Brosnan does well as a Russian representative. Cast includes Michael Caine, Pierce Bronson, Joanna Cassidy, Ned Beatty, Betsy Brantley, Peter Cartwright, David Conville, Matt Frewer, Ray McAnally, and Ian Richardson. (119 minutes,’87)

Blithe Spirit: A delectable adaptation of Noel Coward’s comedy fantasy in regards to a guy whose long since passed first spouse appears to haunt and tease him in his recently wedded life. Rutherford is remarkable as Madame Arcati, the metaphysical medium. This film made an Oscar for its visual effects. Cry Terror: This quick moving film hides the implausibility of the caper of psychopath Steiger pushing Mason to help him in master extortion plot that was filmed on N.Y.C. locations. Scandalous: A feather brained sham in regards to investigative TV journalist who runs afoul of a team of con artists as he tries to extricate himself from a homicide charge. Cast includes Robert Hays, John Giegud, Pamela Stephenson, and Jim Dale. (94 minutes,’84)

For Me and My Gal: Music maintains the style of vaudeville couple decided to play Palace, circa WWI. Kelly’s film debut, and he and Garland harmonize title tune and other old top choices.
