You sat next to me for the last couple of weeks in our theater class. Earlier in the quarter we talked about how the lecture one day made you want to go watch Gladiator, and we both agreed it's a great movie. More recently we talked about how you're quitting one of your two jobs due to the negative work environment but you were nervous because you've never quit a job before. Anyway, today we had a test. I finished before you, somewhat intentionally actually. I waited outside the classroom so that I could catch you on the way out and ask if I could take you to dinner this weekend.

When I noticed that the classroom was nearly empty I realized you had somehow left without me seeing you leave. I'm not sure how that happened, but I immediately regretted not asking you out earlier in the quarter.
