rescue basset needs home! (Griffin will travel)

Clarence is around 7 years old. He was left tied to a tree by his previous owners & nearly starved to death. The lack of nutrition has cost him a few of his teeth, but that is the only thing left over from his previous life. He is now a happy, healthy, lazy, lovable, sometimes spunky dog! He runs around my back yard, chasing balls, dogs, kids, cats whatever's running for him to chase around. He loves people of all ages & is well socialized with other dogs. He's fine with the cats when they're indoors, but does chase them when they're outside.

Homeless family in need of an angel for there children for Christmas (Lawrenceville)

How to start this out well...
My husband and I are new to being homeless and it has took out a toll on our children. We have never really had much and both came from poor families. But this is going to be a sad Christmas for our children this year. We live out of our car most of the time and with family from time to time. For the past 6 months we have been looking for work and with no luck have nothing. Now we are homeless and Christmas is looking very slim. My husband and I donate Plasma 2 times a week just to have gas in our car thank goodness for school or my children would be board all the time. Please know I am not trying to scam anyone this is killing me to ask but my friend wanted me to ask. So what could it hurt. Here I am pouring out my heart and putting hope for my children to have a Christmas they don't need much just a few toys. Our daughter is 7 she just had a birthday with no gifts but she understood. Looking for a volunteer that can assist a family with car needs.

A family that has no family here at all, knows just a few people in passing has just had the worse thing happen, They have lost the only transportation/ vehicle that they had, To the naked eye it just looked like the belt broke, So they got towed home ( money spent ) called a mobile mechanic out to fix it ( Parts and labor plus trip charge for coming out and for going to parts store ) Fixed it, still would start..... Checked plugs they were wet, was told that changing the plugs and wires which is basically a tune up was the problem and that it would then start that the spark plugs being wet was a sign of that, ( higher parts - more money...More labor charges...trip charge for going to parts store) got the tune up......went to start the car......NOTHING..... Hearts just dropped. Mechanic felt so sorry and so bad he left and came back with some tools he needed to check two theories...That it jumped timing or headed gasket issue... Well it wasn't the timing so the money is on engine/gaskets failed . They live in an area where their is no public transportation. They will lose their only source of income if a way to work isn't their, even if its something temporary, and will surely lose everything if so after something permanent does not fall into place regarding transportation.

Money that was for bills like new housing, food, the holidays, has been spent trying to repair the only car to find out in addition to the things that where obviously wrong, the car still wouldn't run because those problems had caused a major problem, yet money was spent on the labor and parts etc.... So their will be no Thanksgiving and now no Christmas, due to what was spent and the need for a car still, but their main concern is merely keeping a roof over their heads and not loosing their income.

They have the tow slip, have the parts reciepts, the sick car that is in the drive way, all of this is there and can be verified... And when it rains it pours..... Letter came regarding foreclosure on the house they are renting right before this happen, money for the Thanksgiving meal was spent on top of the fact that the oven going out on the stove as well as the washing machine......Just listening to the mom and seeing how stress they were and how hard they have tried to make it down here and provide for their kids, just hardworking, quiet laidback family. It is heartbreaking to see them go through.


So Volunteers I come to you seeking any of the following for this family....

Someone who can assist with a ride to work next week helping to buy them some time and helping them to get to next fridays paycheck. Monies toward gas can be paid to the volunteer who can offer them a ride. It will just be for Mon, Tue, Wed of next week, and if you can't do anything past that, that is fine. In regards to other days or weeks with transportation.

If someone has a car that they can sell on time.. With bi weekly payments being made until it is paid off, with a balloon payment due in March, once taxes are filed they would be able to pay off the remaining balance that is left.. So someone who has a car that they would like to sell for a reasonable and fair price, make biweekly reasonable payments with the payout in March. Drawing up a sales contract signing and notarizing of all parties, placing a lien on the title that doesn't come off until the contract is fulfilled, someone who can assist with getting the car over to them, going over the paperwork, both parties getting a copy, exchanging first payment and title/keys . Something that is decent and running with no major issues. They are open to Cars/ Trucks/SUV.. Something older that still has alot of life left in it or something newer, doesn't matter as long as you are willing to work with them. Whatever it takes to make sure both sides are comfortable.


If you know someone willing to work with them, if you yourself are willing to work with them, and have a car for sale. please contact ASAP with the type of car and the cars stats and the asking price. Or even if you have a car they can use/borrow and pay you weekly to use it until they can figure something out.


A car will make the difference between survival and failure. Its bad enough the kids won't have Thanksgiving or Christmas, But at least they should be able to have a place to lay their heads , they will lose their only source of income which in turn make them lose everything.


THEY ARE NOT ASKING FOR HANDOUTS, MONEY, OR TO BE GIVEN ANYTHING !!! They will be more than happy to pay for a ride with someone interested in commuting together/ ridesharing... And will jump at the chance to work with someone who is willing to work with them on a car and have it paid off in 3 to 4 months / March at the latest and could be as early as Febuary .

Keep them in Prayers please. To be in a city this big, not have family or a support system here, have your only vehicle break down, and not live near public transportation.....On top of housing issues and just other small things that add to the pile, its just a bit much, its the holiday season and I hope someone is feeling the spirit and can rattle some contacts and see if someone can help these nice people..

Singer Needed (Cumming/Athens)

Trying to find a vocalist for a rock cover/original band. We've been performing as a power-trio, but we'd like to find a strong frontperson to take us to the next level.

As far as the covers go, we play songs from The Who, Rush, and Led Zeppelin. Doing the covers gets us good shows, gets us paid, and is a hell of a lot of fun. As for original material, we're in the process of getting songs together to incorporate into our setlists. We're about to get back into booking shows, so we should be playing out in the near future (we had taken some time off to record some demos to further our booking ability).

As far as a vocalist goes, I'm not looking for anything specific, really. As long as you can sing the songs it's cool. No need to emulate the singers in the bands we're covering. Male and female applicants welcome; I realize all the singers you'd have to sing are male, but a female singer could definitely work - if you don't believe me look up Heart's covers of Zeppelin's "Black Dog" and The Who's "Love, Reign O'er Me". We're not into like going to reenactments or anything, just like to see where major events took place. We love travel and camping. We like going to concerts and any sort of outdoor fall and spring festival. Actually, I don't think Tony loves that as much as me, but he humors me anyway.

female yellow lab puppy (gwinnett)

we have a 7 month old female yellow lab puppy. she is up to date on all shots with vet records. we have all papers for akc registration. she is house broken and an inside dog. she is a wonderful dog, but we can no longer afford to take care of her since my unemployment has run out. we hate to see her go, but its for the best. we are asking a small rehoming fee of $100 to make sure she goes to a loving home. she has NOT been spayed. 678-983-7952
