Production Foreman/ Production Machinist

Will help setup new production machine shop using a variety of machines to include both CNC and manual equipment, ranging from 1960s vintage to present – vertical machining centers, vertical and horizontal mills, surface grinders, various lathes, broaching machines, jig borers, jig grinders, deep hole tappers, etc.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in both manual machine operation and CNCs with controls that include: Mazak, Yasnac, Haas, Mitsubishi, etc. Most machines will be dedicated to one program or operation.  We are flexible and willing to train but above all else we will choose a candidate who has a positive attitude and is a self starter.

Flexible time: 6am – 6pm (most likely 8 hour shift)

At this stage we are looking for a machinist paid hourly but the right candidate will be considered for salaried Foreman position.

Day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Proficiency in CAM software (i.e. Camworks, Mastercam)
  • Programming of machines for new operations (if necessary)
  • Adhering to scheduled maintenance of machines
  • Adhering to all safety rules and regulations
  • Maintain a positive attitude

Not necessary but a plus:

This position will have the responsibility of working with the CoGen Project Manager to direct the shop overhaul and refurbishment of all medium steam turbine generators and subsystems as well as site management for the installation and start-up of cogeneration plants.

[Primary Function]
The Production Supervisor will provide direct supervision and leadership for the 2nd shift TSM production area within the plant.

[Responsibilities and Tasks]
Supervise and train production employees.
Work with all employees to ensure production/yield requirements are met on a daily basis.

Work with Quality Assurance Department Personnel to ensure all customer specifications and USDA requirements are met.
Maximize yields and throughputs.

High school diploma or equivalent required.
3 years relevant experience in similar production environment; preferably food industry.
