Small loving dog needs a loving home (Carrollton, Ga.)

Anyone want a very sweet small dog. I was in a car accident and can't take her out for walks like she needs and care for her. She is very loving and loves to give kisses. She loves to play with a toy or other animal, cat or dog. I would love to keep her but I am not able to walk her like she needs and take care of her like she needs. She is very good with children or other pets. Just want a good loving home for her. She will be 2 yrs. old March 16th. Mikala and Blondie (Cobb)

Mikala and Blondie are 2 great dogs but have been stuck in the Cobb County Animal Control Shelter on Al Bishop Rd. in Marietta much too long. They are both great dogs and both love to play ball like most all labs do. Their fees would only be $40 each which includes the pet with a micro-chip, shots, free health check at a local vet, 20% off spay/neuter if not already done, and a certificate for a $10 rabies shot. Both are heartworm negative. The shelter is open tomorrow(Sunday) from 2-5, closed Monday, open Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:30-5:30 and closed Thursday and Friday for the holiday. Can someone give one of them a home for the holidays? Mikala is the black lab mix in run 83, ID#4339 and Blondie is the yellow lab mix in run 16, ID# 4173.

A sweet loving puppy was abandoned at the park on Nov-21-2009 by a woman who walked in with three dogs and left with two. She left a bulldog/pit mix that is white and black. Has not a mean bone in her body. I have a dog myself and can not afford another one. She is knee hight (medium size) and is around 8-10 months old. She wont grow much bigger.

She gets along with: Cats/dogs/kids/people/and birds.

She is house trained/crate trained. wont run away when let off a leash. has no name. not fully obidence trained. I will be working with her on sit stay come shake etc.

BLUE (COBB)

Blue has been at the shelter longer than any other animal. He has not let that get him down though. Still very loving and playful. Loves to play ball and loves to get treats, which does not happen very often. Not a barker either. He just needs a chance. He is in the Cobb County Animal Control Shelter on Al Bishop Rd, in Marietta in run 49. His ID# is 3490. Looking for compassionate / Inexpensive (cheap?) vet (Canton)

If he does not turn around this weekend, I need to put my 14 y/o springer to to sleep on Monday. I am giving him as much love and support as I can, but he is not comming back. 7month old German Shepherd (Powder Springs, GA)

We have a 7-month old german shepherd male puppy ready for adoption. He is well-behaved and house trained. He also sits, stays, rolls over, and is very intelligent. He's very playful and loves being around people and other dogs. He also loves playing with my six-year-old. We have a toddler and the dog is pretty good at leaving him alone. He's bumped him a couple of times when he was playing with my other son, but he's never been aggressive toward either of them. He's really a great dog.

We've had him since he was 8 weeks old. He is full-blooded and almost entirely black. He has the longer softer hair, and will most likely be over 100 pounds when full grown. We have his papers, but we've never mailed them in. He is also up-to-date on all his shots, but not neutered yet.

The answer is worry about yourself!! Then take a puppy or dog to the vet and see how much it costs. Like the other person on here stated so caalled rescue centers charge sometime over 300.00 . So if you really want to save an animals life then go to the pound where they're so much cheaper. Bottom line people will spend what they want a little or a lot, and who's to judge NOT ME NOT YOU.

When there is a exchange of money, from one hand to another, folks... that's a sale !!!!!
I do understand your thoughts, if someone is willing to pay for a pet, chances are they may take better care of it.
To that I say, screen your prospective "buyers " better.
So many animals would be placed so much faster if there were no fee's, or smaller fee's.
I'm not against trying to get a little money for your Pet, I'm against these folks that are charging unreasonable, outrageous fee's.
It's gotten out of hand. C/L really needs to do some thing about you people !!!!!
Don't give me your sob stories, then ask for ridiculous fee's for your Pet.
Put a little more effort into trying to get rid of your Pet. Don't think your doing your Pet a favor or finding him/her a good home just b/c your asking price is high.

I had a dog that a friend asked me to get rid of for her, she had moved to China, I put her on C/L, for $20, I had a enormous amount of calls.
I met 2 different folks, neither one of them got the dog, I did not have a good feeling. The 3rd folks we met were wonderful & still have her.
Put time & effort in to your beloved pet, after all, think about all the love you were given, even if you only owned that pet for a short time.
Put yourself in their place ! They have no say, they have no choice, they are solely putting their trust in you. Give them the respect they deserve.
Don't just assume they are going to good homes if you ask more for them, you people that think that way are so ignorant you have no business owning a pet.

Rehoming fees

Who are you people to decide what is a small rehoming fee or not?

Until Craigslist actually states what a small rehoming fee is, it is not your place to set a certain limit on what someone can ask.

There is no where in any of the rules that says a small rehoming fee is $50 (or $75, or $100, etc..)

There are rescues on here that charge $300-600 for dogs.

People use different vets. Vets charge different prices. There is always going to be a difference in cost.

Some people don't like using low-cost vets and are willing and able to pay full price. Just because they want the best care for an animal doesn't mean they should have to lose money when trying to find an animal a home.

Weimaraner - 10 months (Bonaire / Warner Robins)

Daisy is a beautiful 10 month old, spayed, female Weimaraner that needs a new home because we are unable to give her the time she needs. As with all Weims, Daisy is high energy. She has done well with light obedience training and knows basic commands. She loves to be with her family, however, she displays signs of separation anxiety when left in the back yard by herself. She does very well with other dogs. She seems to like cats, but does like to chase them around the house. Daisy is great with children, although she would do best with older children, as she is quite large and strong. She crates well and is used to being there when we are away from home. Daisy loves to retreive balls and is eager to please and loves to be loved on. We want to find a home for Daisy that can give her the attention and time she desires and deserves.

Charlie is around 5 yrs old, up to date on shots and had been neutered. Fully house trained, he is great with other animals as well as children. He has also been in an electric fence and a fenced yard with no problems. Zeena is a 2 year old female(fixed) Greyhound/Golden Retriever mix. She is a rescue dog from Pickens County. She is in need of a home with lots of room to run.
She likes children and other animals but only one or two at a time. She was abused badly in her first home and is skittish around loud noises and motorized equipment like lawn mowers.
We suspect she spent all her time tied up outside, as she fears rain and thunder.
She is a quiet dog but when she barks you know it! She is house trained and good on a leash and in a car. She will come with bowls, leash, toys,and some treats and some food. I hate to get rid of her but she has run off to visit one of the neighbor dogs one to many times and they are complaining and threatening to call animal control. I really need her to go to a new home because I don't want to be at work and get a call from the neighbors she got out again and the animal control took her. We just don't have the fenced in yard she needs and can't afford to put one up right now.
She is SUPER fast when she runs which is why I prefer she goes to a home with some space to run, run, run.

I rescued a sweet puppy a couple of weeks ago. He had to be fattened up and vetted, but he is in great shape now and ready for a new forever home. I found a female cat. She is much too friendly and socialized to be a feral cat in my opinion.

She looks to be 1.5 years old, and when I found her, her little titties were extremely swollen which leads me to believe she is pregnant or has had kittens.

The kittens have most likely died, if she did have some.

She is all black with white front and back feet, a white triangular shape on her chest, and a white mark on her lip.

I don't have any pictures right now.

If no one claims her, then she will be up to for adoption.

He is very affectionate and enjoys human companionship. Oscar loves to be pet and often sits on your lap, like a dog, to enjoy the attention. He is great with kids and adults but has never been around other animals; it would be best if he is the only pet in the household.
