Electrical Engineer / Project Manager:

The candidate would have some or all of the following responsibilities: design of electrical distribution systems, lighting and power circuit design, short-circuit calculations, fire alarm, site lighting, and the like. Junior Engineer

We are seeking an EIT Entry Level Engineer to work under a supervising Professional Engineer with the ambition of obtaining their Professional Engineering license in theSstate of Florida. This person will learn how to design Environmental Remediation Systems based on state and national regulations. This position will earn how these systems are designed, built and sustained and given the opportunity to manage projects after initial knowledge is attained. Candidates will have the opportunity to split time between the office and the field to understand the entire life cycle of a Remedial Action Plan (RAP) development and how projects are undertaken and managed. The Engineer will learn how plans are developed and will be given the opportunity to design their own RAP for the projects they manage. They will also go into the field and learn how the systems are designed, commissioned, installed, maintained and repaired. Finally, the Engineer will learn how to document and submit RAPs to state and national agencies that oversee these plans. Specific responsibilities will include:
1. Site assessment - this will include field sampling and other field activities
2. Remedial alternative evaluation and feasibility studies
3. RAP preparation – includes design of mechanical remedial systems and other remedial techniques used in the industry
4. RAP Implementation - including proposal preparation, bid solicitation, scheduling and field oversight of subcontractors
5. O&M – data collection and submit quarterly progress O&M deliverables
6. Correspondence with state regulators, clients, and sub contractors

Candidates should have the following experience:
1. A Bachelors of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an Accredited College or University.
2. Passed the EIT exam
3. Experience using computer programs such as Microsoft Word or Excel (use and knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus for design projects)
4. Experience with a Co-Op /Internship or zero to one (0-1) years of experience with industrial systems or remediation systems.
5. Written communication skills to be able to create field reports to be given to the Senior Project Engineer during the design, commissioning, installation, maintenance or repair stages of a project.
6. The desire to split time between an office and field environment. Candidates must be willing to help design, commission, install, maintain and/or repair systems in the field.
