Wanted: bass and keys for blues/old school/r&b (Augusta)

We've got the vocalist, drums and guitar, but we need the bass and keys. We're backing Janelle, whose vocal chops in the style of Aretha and Etta (the drummer says Christina Aguilera) will give you goosebumps.

We're putting together eclectic sets of material that will showcase Janelle's talents and allow for creative solos on guitar and keyboards (later maybe horns, too). We favor funky/jazzy/greasy rhythms, and we're drawing from stuff done by Aretha, Wilson Pickett, Delbert McClinton, Amy Winehouse, Earl King, James Brown, Rufus Thomas, Eva Cassidy, Bill Withers, Jon Cleary. Some classics, some little-known gems. Bring your favorites.

But let's be clear about it: We're not looking to make a career of this -- we're grownups with fulltime jobs who also love to make music. The goal is to have a good time putting together some great material and then play occasional gigs. We have a rehearsal space in downtown Augusta, rehearsing once a week.

Might be wasting my time at this site,However I am seeking drums/bass/keys male or female that are pro or very talented
and have or want music as a career.
All must do backing vox at least and be professionally equipped. To do covers and originals for live gigs and recording.
Must want and be willing and able to work every Fri.Sat. night to start. Travel will be required hopefully sooner rather than later.
Rehearse 2 to 4 nights a week until 4 sets are ready to take to stage and really get tight.
"Learning your parts at home is a must but playing together is just as important in real life application."
