Baxter the 3 pound pup!

Baxter is the sweetest baby you'll ever come across.
He loves to cuddle, grunts when you pick him up, like HE'S the one doing all the hard work... silly boy.
He weighs about three pounds right now, he's still fairly young. He's SO precious though.

found large black dog (Hyde Park)

I was walking down Rowena near 50th tonight after the UT game (around 11pm) and a large, all-black dog came bounding over to me. He was extremely friendly and followed me home. He didn't have any tags, just a prong collar on. I checked this list to see if anyone was looking for him but didn't find anything, so I had to take him to Town Lake Animal Shelter because I have four dogs and couldn't keep him (some of my dogs can be sketchy with dogs they don't know).

I took some pictures of him with my phone to help his owner identify him. They can be seen below. He looked to me like a lab-husky mix, but could've definitely been something else.

Anyway, if he is yours he is at TLAC. I hate taking dogs there but I didn't really have a choice. He was so sweet that I'm confident even if noone claims him he will be adopted quickly.

FOUND CAT-Long Haired Male (Off St.Elmo,between SoCo/St.1st)

This big handsome long-haired cat showed up on my front porch,on Lareina Drive, Wednesday evening.He's absolutely adorable and very affectionate.I just know that someone is missing this boy.
His colors are cream/light tan across his top with an all white under belly.The color on his face,ears,and tip of tail are noticeably darker and he's got white "socks".He's very fluffy too!
He's been faithfully staying put on my front porch during the days,but I do bring him in at night.He's enjoying his stay here and he's surrounded by good company...only one problem,he's too big for our litter box! :-p

Saint Bernard / Lab Puppy $40 (Round Rock / 1431)

My wife and I got a puppy just a few hours ago, and have decided that a puppy is a little too much for us right now. We have rabbits and while she is fine with them.. they're a little scared of her. We paid a 25 dollar rehoming fee to get her today, and have bought her a 4 pound bag of HEB puppy food and a water and food bowl, so we're asking 40 to rehome her now - We'll include the bowls and food as we have no other dogs.
She's a 12 week old Saint Bernard / Lab mix and she's been checked for worms, we haven't taken her to the vet ourselves yet. We also have a crate to put her in, if you need or want that - it's 10 dollars.

White Lab Mix (Austin Dog Rescue)

Alexis is a very beautiful white lab mix. She is approximately 1 year old and weighs about 55 pounds. Alexis is housetrained and crated trained. She sleeps quietly in her crate at night curled up with her new collection of toys and a bone. Alexis gets along great with her foster sister, and it seems that she would be a great friend and playmate for another dog. Alexis cannot play now as she is recovering from heartworms, but we can see it in her eyes that she is just dying to run around and play with her new doggie friends. Alexis may be ok as an only dog too, but once she is well she would need daily playtime and exercise with her family. Because Alexis is so sweet and is rather gentle, she would likely be great with children, although she would probably need to go to a home with children over 7 as she still occasionally likes to jump to give hugs. Sweet Alexis is a little too fond of the cat in her foster home and will be best in a home without cats.

Meet Chester, he is a german shepherd lab mix weighing in at about 23 pounds, 4 months old, this bundle of fun will win your heart. He is learning something new everyday. Wreaths for surgery (south )

Hello all,
Well this is a long shot, but here it goes. My mom is 55 years old and needs money for surgery. She was working at Luby's cafeteria and got tendinitis, but since she didn't report the condition right away, Luby's has rejected her claim for medical assistance. I have tried to help her find some sort of assistance, but so far I haven't been successful. She has no money, can't pay her bills, and can't afford a doctor or in that case surgery. I have been trying to help her with money, but times are tough now and there is only so much I can do. She is in so much pain, and it hurts me to see her like that and I can't do a thing. My mom makes beautiful wreaths, like the one in the pictures. I am not asking for a hand out, I just want to help her sell wreaths so that she can get money together. We are selling them for 28.00. We adopted our new little girl today, she is THE most amazing kitten i have ever met. Her brother is still there waiting for a home along with many other kittens AND full grown cats that need homes :( It was very sad to see so many of them in cages, sad and confused.

One cat in particular named cutie, 2 years old. The SWEETEST thing youll ever meet! She TALKS to you :) Knows lots of neat tricks!

Female rat! (Austin)

I have a dark brown with light brown spots, and a white belly, that I no longer can keep. She is very shy at first but she's beautiful and has never bitten anyone. The first time you try to say hello she will nip at you but it never hurts and its a way of saying hello and to get an idea of who you are. She loves to follow me around, its so cute! Im asking for a $5 rehoming fee. I am not able to sell you the cage, my sister is wanting to use it for her rats when she breeds (she breeds hairless). I am moving out of state and the person I am moving in with is allergic to just about everything. Adorable 4mo B&W Kitten (Bottle Raised!)

Ferdinand and his sister were rescued as one week old kittens and bottle raised in a loving foster home. He's very affectionate and has a loud and constant purr. He loves sitting with you (or on you) and has an extremely mellow personality. However, he's an active and playful little boy who would LOVE to have another kitty or two in the household. He is available to a 100% indoor home only. He has perfect litter manners and uses his scratching post faithfully, plus he easily lets you trim his nails. Ferdinand is fully vaccinated, neutered, micro-chipped and negative for FIV/Leukemia. There is an adoption fee to recover these costs, which were all done at Animal Trustees of Austin. FOUND KEYS (Clarkson Ave near 51st)

Found a set of keys that have a "Whirlwind" key light, a key chain, two hallmark and a CVS extras cards, and a few keys. These were found on the side of the road (closer to the railroad tracks than the houses) on Clarkson Ave before you get to 51st coming from the south (the side of the road we found them on). If these are yours, email me what the key chain says and I will give you my address. Hope someone is looking for these!

Do you need your pet bathed cheap? (austin area , pflugerville,rr area)

All you need to do is tell me the kind of dog that you have and its history. I can bathe your pet and clip his/her nails and give them to do all fluffy and clean. I have references . All you have to do is bring your angel and then I will call you when he/she is done. Sweet & Adorable Blue Heeler Needs a Good Home (North Central Austin )

Hank is a very sweet Australian Cattle dog mix (aka Blue Heeler) who is about 1-1.5 years old. He is a very handsome boy with an expressive face and big goofy ears. Though he weighs in at 43 pounds, he thinks he's a lap dog and loves to cuddle! In fact, he thinks people are just about the best thing ever! Though Hank loves being with people, he's also fairly independent and if fine chilling in his crate or on the couch by himself. He's also good at entertaining himself and enjoys chewing on rawhides and Kongs (but never your shoes!). He's also a perfect gentleman on a leash, is housebroken, and knows some basic obedience commands. He loves playing with our male dog, though he can be a little pushy and is learning socialization skills. He would be best with a family that can work with him on training and socialization.

With all of his wonderful qualities, it's hard to believe that Hank wasn't wanted by his previous family. He originally showed up as a stray outside of a dog kennel, where he slept out in the cold rain with no food for several days before they took him to the shelter. He also experienced some sort of trauma (possibly being hit by a car) that caused him to have a painful dislocated hip. Luckily he just had surgery on his hip and is starting to feel better. He will make a great working dog or walking partner when he's all healed from his surgery.

Hank's medical bills are being sponsored through Lucky Mutts rescue group. Their adoption fee is $150 which includes the costs of his neutering, hip surgery, vaccinations, and flea/heartworm preventative. A great deal for this sweet boy!

I found this kitten that was stuck in a tree today. I managed to get her closer for me to reach her and get her out. Cats are SO low maintenance, it's crazy. Change their litter box once or twice a day, and make sure their fed. Other than that, they bathe themselves, and can entertain themselves pretty well.

Not only that, but you say you don't have time for your cat - how are you going to have time for a dog?

NUNKIE (A561188, SB27) is a young, healthy black and white kitty cat who is simply wonderful. When you open the cage she starts talking to you and then if you start stroking her she rolls on her side and begs for more love! She also likes to knead her blankie (see top right photo) which is very cute. Nunkie was brought to the shelter as a stray, "wrapped in a towel" and she was quite upset about this. Despite her ordeal of getting to the shelter she loves people and would love to leave the shelter alive. Can you help? Do you have room in your heart for Nunkie?
