I am still looking for my Girl Cat. She is quite the roamer, always curious and wants to get into everything. Has been known to walk directly into neighbor's houses when they open the door, she is confident and friendly and gets along well with just about anyone. She had taken to roaming farther and farther away for the last few weeks, and has stopped coming home. (and no, trying to keep her inside didn't work - she'd dash out every time any door opened, she's determined to be where it is more "interesting.") I am *very* worried about her as she's always been on the skinny side and not very bright, especially with the cold and rain that has set in. I hope that she has walked into someone else's house and now roams their section of the neighborhood. I live in Green Lawn Place, near Gatti's School Road and Green Lawn, and I suspect she's fond of running up and down the ditch. She has all her shots, all her claws, and a microchip with my current information. If you have picked her up, thinking she's a stray, or if you've seen her in the area, PLEASE call 512-431-5650. I am VERY worried about her and the family is not complete without her crazy 2-part meow. If you see her, could you please lure her into your house and call so I can pick her up? Times are tough: a quick read through Craigslist shows me that. But I have to try this because I have to say I tried everything. And you never know.

First of all? I don't want a donation or a hand-out. People who ask for them, more power to them/ I am not making a judgment in any way, but this post is not about that.

Here's the deal. I moved here just over a month ago from across the country. A 'starting my life over' kind of move. I'm working hard, but due to job circumstances (which I can explain in detail if you'd like, and even have my boss verify) I will not be getting paid until the end of December.

In the meantime? I'm trying. I've sold lots of things, although I didn't own much when I got here (got rid of it all before I left). But I've done that. I've also haunted the "Gigs" section of this site and jumped at every job I could find that I could conceivably do that would pay me quickly. Some I got, some I didn't. Done my share of flyering people's doors! :)

So, I'm out of funds. Rent's (way) overdue, I need a new glasses prescription really badly, my car needs brakes, and I'm hoping to get some gas money to drive a few states away and see my parents for Christmas, among other things.

I'm posting to ask if anyone has anything they need done that they're willing to pay for. Please, nothing sexual or inappropriate, that's not what I'm offering and your email will be ignored. But basically any odd job you can think of that you don't feel like doing yourself? I'd be willing and able to do it for a reasonable price.

And seriously, just make an offer, even if you think you can't pay very much for what you need done, you may be surprised, anything may help and I know that smaller amounts will add up if I do enough of them! So please just ask!

Some of these things could be ongoing, too. For example, if you need a website built and maintained, and you are willing to pay up front, I will sign a contract with you stating that you paid for 6 months of website maintenance. If you want 3 weeks of yard work or just one day, I'm open to anything.

The other alternative is, if you are willing and able to loan money, and for some reason feel like this is something you want to do, although hey, I realize you don't know me, but like I said gotta try everything, contact me and I will get back to you, depending on the amount and your needs, with a proposed repayment plan. Repayment couldn't start until the end of December when my checks start arriving, but I would be willing to sign a contract with you if and when we agreed on terms.

My family's in need of a little help. My husband and I are currently working just not making enough. We fell behind on rent when my husband was out of work. Now everytime we get two pennies the landlord's knocking on the door. I understand her situation but at the same time I tried to explain to her that if she would let me pay my electric, I would give her everything else next week. It is getting cold and I do not want to spend christmas in the dark with my kids (2 & 6 in 24 days). She just threatens to evict us. So my electric bill is $267 I have $100 dollars my landlord knows nothinng about. I just need $167. You get 2 payment arrangements a year and I'm on the last one. It will default anytime in the next couple of days We could make arrangements to work it off. I can do any type of paperwork, house cleaning, etc. My husband does construction.
